The first and last time I visited shake shack in Stratford I labeled it one of the worst chicken burgers I've had

I went back today for #nationalburgerday to see if was any better. I got 2 chicken burgers and the muched talked about shroom burger. First of all the shroom burger (made from mushrooms) was surprisingly good! The chicken burger was definitely better than when I first had it. Although it was better, I still think it's not worth the £6.25 
Only the chicken is halal. Certificate on the wall.

Hot Honey Chicken 🔥🍯 from @shakeshackuk as part of a limited time special 😍 their hot honey burger comes with a delicious cabbage & apple slaw which goes really well with the chicken 🍏 also tried their regular & hot honey bites, which I think I actually preferred as they were really tender! 🍗 we got their cheesy fries on the side which are amazing 🧀 plus their honey mustard sauce was soo good with everything 👌🏼 also tried their strawberry rhubarb milkshake, strawberry lemonade, regular lemonade and their ‘Union Shack’ frozen custard, all of which were great 🤤 I especially loved their sweet strawberry lemonade & their Union Shack frozen custard, as it had brownie bits in it 🍫 #shakeshack #halalfoodlondon

Although the halal menu at @shakeshackuk is limited, they have recently brought out their new gochujang menu and we definitely preferred this over their original menu items ! The Gochujang burger was crispy and coated in their sweet and spicy gochujang glaze which added a lot more flavour than their classic chicken burger. The chicken bites were definitely our favourite part of the meal, the batter itself was seasoned well and coated in the same glaze. 

The fries were served with a gochujang mayo which was delicious but it could have done with a lot more sauce to cover the fries. Personally we didn’t enjoy the mango and passion fruit lemonade, it was too tangy rather than refreshing. 

All in all, we definitely recommend trying out their new menu while it’s available !

Shake Shack Westfield Stratford

While the food was undeniably enjoyable, I wouldn’t rate the service a full five stars—mainly due to the increasingly common reliance on online or screen-based ordering.

That said, the food itself was excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken burger—well-seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right. The chips were a standout as well, with a delectable flavor, especially with the sauce generously drizzled on top.

But the true highlight of the meal was the pistachio milkshake. Rich, creamy, and perfectly nutty—it stole the show and left a lasting impression. A delightful way to end a satisfying lunch.

Food was amazing as always. The limited Smokey Chipotle fries was unreal, just a bit spicy. Too bad they're not a permanent menu item. Expensive, yes, but delicious. A treat every couple of months. Love it!

Only real issue it was very slow. 17 mins to get my order, and it wasn't even busy.

Service was great, the guy dropped our order to us. Good taste, nice fries.

An all-too expensive fast food experience with poor service.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon; there was plenty of seating available and we placed our order through the self-service kiosk. We waited for our food for more than 30 minutes, despite inquiring at the counter a couple of times, and being told it's coming. We only found out later that there was a problem and they couldn't find our order on the system. A member of staff had to take a photo of our e-receipt on our phone to get it ready. When we eventually got our food we did enjoy it, particularly the pistachio shake and the burgers. I wouldn't try the cheese sauce again though.

The chicken we use in our Chicken Shack and Chicken Bites in every UK Shack is halal-certified, including our 2021 festive Black Truffle Chicken item.
