Revisited @hopperslondon in Wigmore St for a meal with the new family as my bro got married so he and his wife treated us .

I wasn't that hungry as I just had breakfast so only had a little bit of a few dishes. The best thing was definitely the lamb shank curry (£16) good deep flavours with a touch of sweetness .

They have changed up the menu as well so there's new items. Other recommendations are the chicken wings and the devilish squid .

We had the private dining area but i wasn't too impressed with the service, nothing major just gaps in food arriving without explanation and having to ask 3 times to refill water is not ideal. So I asked for the service charge to be removed. Never be shy in asking for service charge which was £20 to be removed if it was up to standard. #halalfoodguytip

Food: For starters, we opted for the Calamari Fry and we wern’t disappointed; spicy, tangy and full of flavour. The Masala Dosa was also exceptionally tasty and so was the Lamb Shank Kari. The meat fell off the bone beautifully. The item we most recommend is the Mango Slush, we honestly could’ve had a whole jug 🤤

Thank you for an amazing dinner service. Celebreated my birthday here and I'm so glad I picked this place. The food was so good, they've definitely perfected their Srilankan/Indian Menu. Their Lankan chicken curry and Chettinadu chicken were so unique and felt authentic. The service was really good too. Thank you for the free mouse chocolate pastry. Will definitely remember the food and the hospitality ❤️✨

I told a friend I would be in Lo don and he said that a food podcast he follows recommended Hoppers. So, I gave it a try and I was super pleased! I was in the SoHo location and the place is tiny but cozy. Ate jaffna jackfruit and paneer with pilau rice. Staff was extra courteous (they gave me the paneer “on the house” !!!)

Great evening - will be back next time and I will tell my friend he should really try it when he is in London.

An amazing dinner for two at Hoppers Soho. Neither of us had tried Sri Lankan food before so we did not know what to expect. We felt very welcome and opted for the tasting menu. Every dish was delicious and prepared with care. We will definitely return. Bineeta made our night special, we appreciated her care and attention.

The food here is truly incredible and I’m still thinking about it! The tasting menu offers great value, and has vegan and vegetarian options available. I recommend ordering a roti as you’ll want it to mop up every last drop of those amazing sauces.
Unfortunately, the physical setup let the experience down. Our table was tiny and quite wobbly, and the seating is so cramped, that  I felt like I was practically sitting with the party next to us. I’m also not a fan of the "card only" policy or the automatic service charge. If you can overlook the tight quarters and payment rigidities, the flavours are worth it, but be prepared for a less-than-relaxing environment.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Worth Every Bite (and the Wait)! 😋

I went to Hoppers on 5th Street near Charing Cross, and oh my goodness; the food was absolutely delicious! 😍

I didn’t have a booking, so the wait time was around an hour, but they take your number and text you when your table’s ready; super handy! There are plenty of pubs and bars nearby, so it’s totally worth the wait : grab a drink, wander around, and come back when it’s time 🍸

We went for the £35 per person sharing menu, which turned out to be the best decision ever. It included a salad to start, two starters, and two curries (one per person). For the staples, you can choose between a hopper, dosa, or rice 🍛

We were a bit cheeky and asked to swap in the spicy cheese dosa and they kindly agreed for the same price! We also added the bone marrow for an extra £5, and oh my god 🤯 it was divine a generous portion, perfectly cooked, served with kothu paratha and another paratha on top. It honestly felt like a banquet for two. Every dish was bursting with flavour!

The lamb curry was the standout rich, tender, and perfectly spiced. The chicken curry was okay but not as special. The kothu paratha was absolutely amazing too full of texture and taste. 🥘

The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and the lovely waitress recommended a cocktail that paired perfectly with the food 🍹 The place had such a welcoming, lively energy  relaxed, cosy, and full of good vibes.

I’ve been here before, and I’ll definitely be back again the food is so good it’s calling me back already! ✨

Great food and great ambience. It’s good for a date or for dining out with friends. Small space but we can manage. The server Hassan has been attentive to details, friendly and kind. All of the team did an excellent effort to keep you welcomed and enjoyable. Would recommend this place

Food was delicious. We were served by Hassan who was very polite and efficient. The atmosphere is cosy and perfect for a break from shopping around the surrounding Covent Garden and Leicester Square. Highly recommend.

Superb experience in this Indian restaurant. We were very warmly welcomed despite the late hour. Thanks to the whole team and especially to ZAFAR for its attentive and personalised service.

Wow!  We are visiting from Miami and wanted some Indian food and got recommended a place that there was a long line to get into and decided to try something else and came to this restaurant and was not disappointed!!  Food was amazing!  Had recommendations from the server and absolutely loved everything!  We were seated downstairs and Del was our server.  We wished we would have found this place sooner because we are leaving tomorrow.  We love seasonings and spices in our food, I mean being from Miami and Latino culture this place has great spices so finding this place was amazing!  We had starters of chicken chaat, and prawn purie and a type of chips you can break and 4 sauces for the chips which was recommended by the server and was very good!  My son ordered Tandoori King Prawn he ate it all and loved.  I ordered chicken tikka Marsala and delicious!  My daughter had chicken tikka and I had it as well and was sooo good!  My husband had lamb kata masala spicy and he loves really spicy food and loved his dish.  Everything was great, including the service!  When we come back to London, we will definitely come back here!

The meal was lovely and the setting was lovely too. The staff were so friendly and the food was excellent. A big thank you to Del, who is such a friendly member of the team.

Marinated Lamb and Seafood Bibimbaps at Superstar BBQ, Korean favourites 😍 the beef was tender and seasoned beautifully, just about the better of the two! We couldn’t go to a Korean Restaurant and not order Duk Bok Gi, one of our best-loved starters, along with Crispy Calamari!

P.S. only chicken and lamb is halal.

We had a great time at Superstar Korean BBQ! The lunch was absolutely yummy, and the food quality was excellent for such a decent price. I really loved the good vibe of the restaurant, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff provided good service and were very friendly throughout our visit. I truly enjoyed my experience and will definitely be coming back!

Great appetizers at Super Star, their kimchi jeon is fantastic! Their Korean Fried Chicken and Yuk Gae Jang is also very delicious and a must try. The Bibimbap portions were a little smaller than expected but good. The chicken fried noodles were ordinary.

This was my first time trying Korean and also experiencing cooking at the table.

The food was fantastic. Our waitress, Melissa was exceptional. She helped me choose from the menu, ensuring I got to sample the best and make choices that were both wide ranging yet economical.

I would definitely come back.

Fried chicken is not so Korean style but good on its own style. Pancake was thin and crispy, how it should be!

We booked a Groupon voucher after checking the dates it was available, and when we arrived we were told they weren’t doing that anymore somehow. After showing them the voucher and the fact that it’s still valid and listed on the website, they reluctantly sat us down and told us they’re gonna make an exception. For what? We were still paying customers and they made us feel so unwelcome.

On top of that, when the food arrived it was all horrible. We ordered the side of 5 dumplings and they brought us 2 (despite the menu listing 5), and when we asked why they said they changed it for the Groupon vouchers. Again the change not listed anywhere. Because three pieces of frozen dumplings will really make a big difference to their revenue🫠 Also the Fried chicken was practically inedible - pink inside, and the chicken bibimbap smelled and tasted of fish! No idea whether they just didn’t care to cook our food properly or what was done to it but it was one of the worst meals I’ve had in London.

The whole evening we felt so unwelcome and treated poorly so we had to leave as the food was disgusting on top of that.

A shame because the last time I went to this place, we really enjoyed it but the management needs to get fired frankly. Do not recommend.

Our chicken is Halal and since all ingredients are prepared separately, there’s no risk of cross-contamination. You may ask staff to change the grill upon seating.

Food: Thankfully, the food wasn’t bad (well done babe! 😂) The Banana Tree Spiced Noodles that I asked for was full of flavour and so was the Malaysian Prawn Kari. We also ‘combo’d up’ our mains so we got Indo Salad, Corn Cakes and Indo Crackers with our meals. The Corn Cakes were delicious!

The quality of banana tree has gone down a bit from previous years. I did really like the laksa ramen, it was quite tasty although quite spicy. My friend didnt really like the katsu burger as said the bread was dry. The mango chicken was very sweet but I think she liked it. The coke was a bit flat. We ordered prawn crackers and never got them. However service was quite nice and still overall food was okay.

There's a lovely range of dishes with Southeast Asian flavours, including Curries, Stir Fries and Noodles.

I didn't have high expectations, but the Banana Tree Curry with Tofu was rich and creamy and it was really comforting. The Sweetcorn Fritters were crispy and crunchy and packed with flavours, a good little side.

The staff were lovely and the interior was aesthetically pleasing, perfect for a group catch up with friends.

I order the Sweet Mango and Lime Chicken. The food was very tasty and fresh. The chicken was soft and well cooked, and the mango and lime sauce had a perfect balance of sweet and sour flavors. The aroma was amazing and made the dish even more enjoyable.

The portion size was good and filling, and the food arrived warm and well packed. I really liked how flavorful the dish was without being too spicy. Overall, it was a great meal, and I would definitely order from Banana Tree again. I recommend this dish to anyone who enjoys sweet and tangy flavors.

If you want, I can also make it shorter, more casual, or more professional 😊

This was the first time I visited and it was really great. Alex was amazing and made sure to check everything we had was gluten free as I have coeliac disease. She was really kind and patient and we will definitely come back to try more dishes!

Pleasantly surprised by this little location in Soho! I've never seen a Banana Tree location before but chose to give it a go on a whim with a partner with no booking. Some other reviews say the place is a little slow on service, I found it fine but the place wasn't busy when I came. I imagine when it's busy, they are arguably understaffed.

The food, on the other hand, is amazing. It tastes great and is presented well and fast and the £10.50 meal deal is a good deal for the quality and portfoon of food you get with a drink.

Wish we had one of these in my home city Newcastle 🙏

Really good time out, the broths were tasty. Got one spicy, one mushroom and one braised beef. Really recommend the braised beef, it was perfect balance of sweet and salty.   Mushroom was also good earthy, but felt it lack compared to the braised beef.

We got a bunch of meats, seafood, beef, chicken. The seafood was great, I loved the squid tentacles which were chewy, and also loved the ox tongue.  It’s got a chewy texture but I love that and it tasted so good when cooked with the braised beef.   The whole read sharing platter was also great and looked amazing.

The staff and atmosphere was also good, a lot of birthdays for which they sing to people. We also got the kung fu noodles which come with a dance which was great entertainment

Only thing I’d say disappointed is the chicken, put simply wasn’t a fan of the flavour. Also as a warning it’s very easy to lose the food you cook in the hotpot (unless I’m doing it wrong) so be aware of overcooking. Otherwise a very positive experience. The staff were super friendly and would check up on if you need anything without intruding

Went there at new year eve today. The food was good. But the service made it extra ordinary. Yi He was one of the best one there. She took care of us and checking up on us constantly. She was so sweet. I love the atmosphere. It was busy for new year eve. But still got the best service from Yei He.....

The service was very good. Our server YI HE took a very good care of us. She was very attentive and so sweet. She was always refilling the water and checking up on us constantly. And also she gave us a panda it was so cute.

We were a group of four. We had reserved in advance and everything was sorted within just ten minutes of waiting. As it was our first time at Haidilao, the lady who attended to us explained everything very clearly and helped us understand the portions. There was also a lovely staff member, Ye Hi, who made sure everyone was having a great time. She kept refilling our water glasses and was kind enough to treat us to ice cream and fried buns on the house. She even clicked pictures for us. We had a wonderful evening, thanks to the excellent staff and the great ambience.

Really good food! Filled up with the my friend  and I had such a good time. It’s my first hotpot experience and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back

This is too good! It is delicious more than enough! They broke my expectations and ruined my standards! I cannot describe it.

This was the best Iranian food that I ever tried. Definitely!

I waited to get a place on the bar outside, around 5-10 minutes, and they offered me a tea during that time. I was lucky because I came early and alone, other people had to wait more, especially for tables inside.

The staff were very very friendly and nice.

Prices are higher though! But I think even if they make it expensive more I will come back!

Location was easy to find limited sitting. And bar table perched outside is the only spot available. If it was raining this would have made it impossible.

Food was great, some were okay but the chicken was tender and delicious. Definitely worth coming back and tasting the other menu items. Fresh off the grill.

Service was good, they made a mistake on my order and tried to rectify it. Staff are friendly but no one smiled behind the counter. Friendly and timely.

Our experience at Berenjak was absolutely wonderful, from the warm hospitality to the incredible food. Bart, the general manager, was especially welcoming and gave us excellent recommendations that really elevated the meal. The dishes were full of rich, authentic Persian flavors that truly stood out.

The only small downside was that the dessert recipe has changed. I really loved the previous version and was hoping to have it again. Still, everything else made for a memorable dining experience, and I’ll definitely be returning!

I visited Berenjak Soho at the end of last month and had the best experience. I booked a table for 5 for a birthday and the service was exceptional from start to finish. As a Persian myself, I can confidently say the food is truly authentic and absolutely delicious. We chose the lunch set menu (£35pp) which included a starter, bread of your choice, a main with rice or salad, and it was amazing value for the quality. I also had a cocktail which was the strongest I’ve ever had in the UK and tasted incredible too.

The team were so lovely and accommodating. They even let me come in before opening to drop off the birthday cakes which I really appreciated. All the staff were polite, friendly and created such a warm atmosphere for us. A special shoutout to Adam for being so kind when I arrived early, and to the two lovely ladies who served our table so beautifully.

Highly recommend Berenjak Soho — can’t wait to return!

I rarely give 5 stars on food, but this deserves it! This was hands down the best food I've had in a long time! The burger was so soft and juicy. I ordered the Shackmeister and it was amazing! The chicken bites and the chips just added to it, and the caramel shake was so good! 😋 they even had honey mustard too!! Try this food, you won't be disappointed.

Stopped at Shake Shack on Tottenham Court Road for a quick bite and it delivered exactly what you expect—fast, consistent, and solid across the board. The burger was juicy and well put together, with the usual soft bun, melted cheese, and good balance of sauce and seasoning. Fries were hot, crisp, and not greasy, which is not always a given with fast food. The shake was thick, smooth, and tasted as it should—rich but not overly sweet.

Service was fast and efficient, even during a busy stretch. Staff were polite and kept the queue moving without cutting corners. The space is clean, seating was available, and the turnover was fast enough that it did not feel cramped.

Pricing is what it is—higher than average for fast food, but still worth it for the consistency and quality you get. You know what you are getting, and they stick to it well. A dependable option if you are in the area and want something quick but better than the usual chains.

I would also suggest that they have the world’s smallest sink in that toilet lol! Should’ve been much bigger!

I absolutely love Shake Shack! The food is always fresh, and the burgers are to die for. The ShackBurger is a must-try—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The crinkle-cut fries are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just the right amount of salty.

This is my first time trying this location and Lochitha welcomed us with a smile and helped us with our order, which made the experience even better. The vibe at the location is always great, whether you're grabbing a quick meal or hanging out with friends. I also appreciate how clean and well-kept everything is, which shows how much they care about quality.

Delicious food, quiet and spacious, but extremely expensive. We orders for two people, a burger, fries and milkshake for both of us, and i believe the price came up to around 50-60£

The chicken we use in our Chicken Shack and Chicken Bites in every UK Shack is halal-certified, including our 2021 festive Black Truffle Chicken item.

This is a bit of a late review. I've been here a couple times last year, received good service by a lovely lady named Neha (we'll miss not seeing you there anymore) but the overall customer service is also good.

Really enjoyed the food here, served piping hot and delish. Will definitely be back again soon :)

I recently dined at Bergeri on Malborough Street and had a fantastic experience. The restaurant is advertised as halal, which is a big plus for inclusive dining and it certainly delivered on quality. The food was excellent with a really good variety to choose from — from a strong selection of vegetarian dishes to hearty Angus beef and tasty chicken options. Everything we tried was full of flavour and beautifully presented.

The service was equally impressive. Staff were attentive, friendly, and made the visit feel welcoming from start to finish especially Masuma, who was amazing. The atmosphere in the restaurant was relaxed and vibrant, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with family or friends.

Bergeri offers both great food and great service, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat with plenty of choice.

Music was a little loud but that was just my personal opinion not a criticism 😃

Basically meat used in the burger is not good. The prices are nice at the beginning but then after tasting the burger you wish you did not sot in this place. They are slow as well and the best service. Do not recommend this their is a lot of other places in London

Burgeri is really delicious! The onion rings are light and not greasy, the hot dog is amazing, the buns are soft, and the burgers taste great. The spicy burger with jalapeños was a bit too hot for me, but still tasty.

Service was quick, and the staff were helpful – though they could definitely be a bit more welcoming and make customers feel more appreciated.

One area that needs improvement is cleanliness: the tables and chairs weren’t the cleanest, and it would be nice if they paid more attention to that.

The space itself is quite big with plenty of seating, and we didn’t have to wait or deal with crowds. Overall, a solid spot I’d come back to.

Burgeri is a halal American style burger joint.

The staff are friendly but the food didn’t quite live up to the price.

The strawberry mock tail was £6.10 and easily the highlight for me as it was delicious and very refreshing. I’d come back just for this.

The b special burger was £7.90 and wasn’t bad and the cheese was nice but the overall taste didn’t stand out. I’ve had better locally.

The chips (large) were £4.70 and were disappointing - thin fries are not my style and the peri powder wasn’t tasty.

Sauces like tomato ketchup and mayonnaise are free.

The price overall was £18.70. I feel that the price didn’t match the quality of the food so I wouldn’t come back unless I was nearby.

Madhu's of Mayfair

We had a wonderful lunch at Madhu’s this afternoon and couldn’t be more delighted with the experience. The food was absolutely delicious — I ordered the Royal Thali, which was beautifully presented and packed with incredible flavours, while my husband chose the set lunch menu, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
The venue was perfect for our special occasion: elegant, welcoming, and with a warm atmosphere that made the meal even more memorable. The service was outstanding from start to finish — attentive, friendly, and truly professional.
For a three-course lunch, the prices were excellent value for the quality offered. We both agreed it was a fantastic dining experience and we had such a great time.

Absolutely stunning experience at Madhus at The Dilly.
The moment you walk in, the dining room takes your breath away chandeliers, mirrors, gold detailing, and a beautifully decorated Christmas atmosphere. It truly feels like dining inside a palace.
The food was exceptional. I tried the express lunch menu and everything was incredibly flavourful from the naan to the rice, sauces and curries. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented.
A special mention to Vinoth, who looked after us the whole time .very polite, attentive and kind. He made the experience even better.
It’s the perfect place in London if you want a luxurious Indian dining experience in an elegant and unique setting.

We visited Madhus for an afternoon tea and we had such a lovely experience. The place is perfectly located, few steps away from Piccadilly Circus. The location is charming, elegant and with a really relaxing atmosphere. The food was delicious and tasty. The tea selection was fantastic, we tried the English Breakfast and Moroccan mint, both perfectly brewed and full of flavour.
A special mention and a big thank you to Vinoth, who looked after us so well! The service was amazing, and everything felt special from start to finish. Definitely one of the nicest afternoon teas I’ve had in London.

Had a lovely experience at this restaurant, celebrated my birthday and I would definitely recommend this place, if you are going then do ask for priyanshi as your waiters she did an amazing job , she treated us really well.

Talking about food , chilli panner was spot on, panner tikka was perfectly cooked in tandoor.

For mains we had dal makhani i will love to have it again and again and the karahi panner was good and the garlic naam i would die for that softness and the smell of garlic 😋.

Drinks we had lassi and a mojito. They were great as well. If you have a special occasion i would definitely suggest go for it. Just one advice it is a place of quality and experience not quantity so if you are a heavy foodie then order more food.

Where do I start?! The whole experience was EXTRAORDINARY!! We opted for the 6 course tasting menu which was absolutely delicious, dare I say the best food I’ve ever had! I went to ASSA with my family for a birthday dinner and we really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was bustling and every table was taken which meant there was a significant wait to get a table (about 30-40 minutes), but the staff were clearly working hard; no one was idle and they were whizzing around serving diners.

I'd say cleanliness was moderate because the water jugs were covered in visible water spots but the cutlery and table was clean. The table setup was basic but efficient and created a homely feel.

Staff were polite and attentive when they reached us, though it could be difficult to get their attention for extra toppings or broth top-ups. Though that said, they did refill the broth twice for us so there were no major disruptions to our experience.

There was a good range of base options and toppings to choose from. We ordered the chicken and mushroom hotpot with ramyeon noodles, king prawns, fish cake and tofu. The presentation was clean, the portion sizes were good, and the food exceeded my expectations. My family enjoyed their food as well.

We paid £58.50 for three people and all left satisfied. It’s a great choice for a relaxed, chatty dinner, and I would return.

I have regularly come for lunch for the last three years and love love love Assa! They offer tasty and affordable lunch options but don’t be afraid to explore the rest of their menu - I always like to try a variety of their food! The music is always great and the staff are lovely! It’s difficult to find places in Soho that offer a proper sit down meal for lunch that’s nourishing but doesn’t cost you loads and that’s why Assa is my go-to (especially in the winter time when you want a hot bowl of food and a warm place to spend your lunch break)!

We were recently invited to visit Apple Butter Cafe in the Seven Dials area of Covent Garden. The food is a blend of Middle Eastern flavours with a western twist, making it very unique.

Firstly we tried the Slow Cooked Beef Pasta and the Rigatoni all’Arrabbiata, which we’re both cooked exquisitely. Both displayed some amazing fresh flavours and the pasta was perfectly al dente. The former of the two dishes was particularly unique, as the dish was packed with flavours, while the beef and the pasta sauce blended beautifully.

Finally we tried for desserts, the most talked about dessert in Covent Garden right now- the Apple! This was a desert shaped like an Apple, coated in white chocolate and filled with apple mousse, with sprinkles of chocolate cookie crumbs, dried apple and honeycomb surrounding it. It was as heavenly as it sounds! 🤤 This was by far one of the most unique desserts we’ve eaten.

Overall, this is a great, cosy cafe with some amazing quality food and high standards at very reasonable prices in the heart of London. The staff are great too, which is always a massive bonus. We will definitely be returning to try out more of the menu! 🙌🏽

Truffle Burger | Soho

I really like burgers and I didn’t want to leave London without trying some.

I found this place thanks to chatgpt (:p) and I was surprised by their burgers.

We had their truffle burger and cheeseburger burger and some very delicious potatoes with blue cheese. If you are in London you absolutely have to try it.

I’ve been eating Truffle’s burgers for years and yet have never left a review here - their OG Signature Truffle burger remains my favourite burger in London/ of all time (and I eat many)! It has the juiciest patties (a mix of beef and smoked bacon), tonnes of melted raclette, lashings of their divine truffle mayo, crispy onions and a fruity fig jam which perfectly compliments the intensely rich and meaty flavours of the burg - all in a fresh and fluffy brioche bun. It is insanely delicious and perfectly balanced. This is just one of their burgs; the entire menu is awesome and has been consistently excellent since their opening, and there is something for everyone (including non-truffled options if you don’t like truffle 🤣) 🥰

Soho is their original permanent residence and will always have a special place in my heart - it’s a great vibe with a super friendly team. I can’t recommend Truffle more highly!

Truffle burger was really good. I selected the double one and it was slightly salty to me so maybe a regular one is a better choice. The service was pretty quick. The interior created a very subtle feeling of uncleanliness but overall it was fine. I recommend this spot for a quick burger bite for sure!

Unbelievable find on a day out in between bars. Service and atmosphere was superb. Two of us sat at the counter and could see the chefs prep the food. We were really impressed with the quality. I ordered the Truffle burger 10/10 Truffle fries 10/10 and Chicken tenders 10/10. All absolutely bangin’. Benedict served us and was very patient with us and recommendations were top drawer.

Got the truffle burger and truffle + Parmesan fries. Burger was good - they blend the bacon into the patty which is great for flavour but gives some stringiness to the texture which wasn’t great. Fries were fantastic and high recommend but you have to eat them quickly before the cheese cools and congeals.

Our beef is Halal. Or you can go for the truffle burger without bacon and you will need to let us know to remove the bacon when ordering. We have a separate grill which we use in Soho to cook the beef separate from any pork products.

Undeniably the best kebabs we have ever had!  This is the bees knees of kebabs! Delicious Super Bowl! Lovely, gorgeous and helpful staff, fabulous food, super fast and efficient service …what more could you want!!

The food was delicious and the vibe was very cozy! I got the chicken kebab and they were able to make it gluten free with a GF wrap! They also had the option to make it with a salad base instead of the wrap. Definitely would recommend!

Been here and the Covent Garden location several times. The peppers as starters are a succulent meal on their own, get the broccolini and the chicken open wrap with the crispy chicken skin it’s very very delicious indeed. I’m not living in london anymore but this is one place ill sorely miss!

Visited Heddon Yokocho on Heddon Street last night with my wife and loved the experience. The street itself had a great, lively atmosphere, and stepping inside felt like being transported to Japan. The decor is authentic, and the food tasted just like dishes we enjoyed during our trip there — fresh, flavourful, and spot on. Prices were reasonable for central London.

It's a good place to try. Ramen and gyoza were all tasty and fresh. Nothing exceptional though, maybe I was a bit unlucky and just picked the wrong ramen.
Staff could have been more attentive and welcoming. On one hand there were qr codes on the table on the other hand I got menu from the waiter but he never came back, so I didn't know if he will take an order or I should just use qr code. Strange, I'd expect it to be clarified right at the start by the waiter.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this Japanese ramen restaurant! The ambiance was absolutely charming, with beautiful spring blossom decorations that made the atmosphere feel romantic and inviting. We ordered ramen, and it was incredibly delicious—rich, flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles. I also tried the octopus balls, which were a highlight of the meal—tender and soft. That was my favorite.The combination of great food and lovely decor made for a fantastic experience. I would definitely return to try more of their dishes!

Staff were a little abrupt when speaking and not particularly friendly but were professional overall. Ramen looked great but tasted horrible as the broth tasted bitter with an almost spoilt meat flavour. The matcha was delicious and the slice of cake was very nice too, despite the slice being far too small for the price charged.

None of our meat dishes is Halal but we do have vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Japes is a new Pizza Parlour that opened recently in Soho and is, apparently, the first place in London that does Deep Pan Pizza! 🍕 So naturally, we ordered a pizza (the Medditerannean) and the Parmagiana. The pizza was tasty, and that was mostly due to the fact that we love deep pan, cheesy pizza. We did expect more from the toppings though. The Parmagiana was literally just... cheese. All we could taste was cheese 🙂🧀. Not a great veg lasagne! The Garlic Bread was also VERY dry.. took us a while to munch through it while watering down our throats 😂

Very disappointing experience.

We visited on Monday evening with my family. The restaurant was quiet, with fewer than 10 tables occupied. Our Chicago-style pizza was made incorrectly and had to be remade. One staff member handled this professionally, which we appreciated.

However, the main issue was the unequal treatment by another staff member. While we were briefly speaking on the phone, an older male staff member with a beard came over and asked us to lower our voices. At the same time, the table next to us—around five British customers—was speaking much louder and laughing constantly, yet no one said anything to them.

We were the only Asian customers in the restaurant, and this selective enforcement made us feel clearly targeted and discriminated against. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and completely ruined the dining experience. Fairness and respect should apply to all customers, not just certain groups.

I strongly urge management to address this incident seriously and provide proper staff training to prevent this from happening again

It was such an amazing experience! I went with my friends for an early dinner around 6 PM, and we mainly tried the Chicago-style Wicked Chicken Pizza — honestly, it was the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life! We also tried two or three other varieties, and each one was delicious, but the Wicked Chicken Pizza was definitely the star of the show. The flavors were incredible, and one pizza was easily enough for two people.

My first Chicago style pizza and I was sceptical but it was really delicious. I definitely go again because there were so many more I wanted to try but it’s very filling. The only slight down was the salad which was very bitter and drenched in  dressing. Lovely waiter too.

Japes in Soho is one of my absolute favourite places to get pizza, and last night once again reminded me why!

We were served by Nole, one of the main members of staff who is always there when we visit. He treated me and my friends with genuine respect, remembered us, and made us feel truly welcome. That level of consistency and personal care is rare. He even said, “We are friends now,” which is exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to keep coming back. He kindly gave us desserts as well, which was a lovely touch and very much appreciated by all of us.

We come here regularly and recommend Japes to friends all the time. Quite a few of our friends have visited because of our recommendations, and they always say the same thing about the food, atmosphere, and service. There is a lot of consistency here, which really says everything about the place.

The only small negative we have experienced is with one particular waiter. We have been served by her a few times, and every time it feels like she does not want to be here. We genuinely hope she manages to find peace in her life and eventually give better customer service. She even turned us away on New Year’s Eve with a lame excuse even though there were plenty of tables available. I myself come from a customer service background, so I understand how stressful high pressure environments can be, but that does not mean it should be taken out on customers. This does not take away from the overall experience enough to lower the rating, which is why this is still a full five stars.

We were really hoping Nole would be working when we came in, and he was. The food was great, the service from him was excellent as always, and we all left happy and not disappointed at all.

Japes remains one of our favourite pizza spots in London, and we will absolutely keep coming back.

I had an amazing experience at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen. Every single dish was incredibly delicious — full of flavour and beautifully cooked. The food was genuinely outstanding.
The staff were warm, friendly, and attentive, and the whole place has such a lovely and welcoming atmosphere.
Highly recommended — I’d definitely come back!

Fantastic Syrian culinary experience. Dishes are tasty, flavorful and greatly presented. Portions are fairly balanced. We loved everything we had.
We walked in without reservation and got lucky in finding a table, it was off peak hours. Staff and service were up to standards. Highly recommended, for couples or group of people, we'll definitely go back as soon as possible to try more of their menu.

Wow, what a find! The food was incredibly delicious and fresh. Some of the best falafel and hummus I have ever had. The hostess and my server were so nice and helpful, I wish I had gotten their names (I was there on a Monday night and dined at the window by myself). I also enjoyed a really tasty pomegranate lemonada and Syrian chai. This is a new go-to spot for me in London.

I went during the Christmas break with my cousin, I had wanted to go come here for a long time, the food was AMAZING, my favourite were the beef skewers and the pulled lamb, it was all very good.

I love that they have sharing plates and a great vegetarian selection also. The Hisbiacus tea is also very good and if you close your eyes and eat you might think you are in Damascus…

I will be back.

Best Syrian food in London, right near Oxford Circus on Carnaby Street!

My partner used to bring his colleagues here because it’s such a great central spot with amazing food. They have delicious lunch dishes that come with a few dips like hummus and baba ganoush, and you can choose chicken, lamb, or falafel.

I’ve been here many times with him, and the falafel is an absolute must. We order it every single time. The food is always fresh, tasty, and full of flavour.

I've been at many korean BBQ places both in and out of London, and this one is definitely tied for the top of my list. We went for the special bulgogi, which was excellent. I'd say it's a very good amount of food for two, and the dish is served with a different style of grill than the other bbq options on the menu that mixes the meat juices with a broth and various vegetables. We were also served with a portion of korean fried chicken on the house, which I probably would not have ordered, but will absolutely do so next time. It had a great sauce and a slight crunch to it.

I have unfortunately forgotten the name of our server, but she patiently explained how various things are intended to be eaten and even helped us grilling the food. I could not have asked for better service. This restaurant will be a must-visit for me next time I'm in town.

If I could give this place more than 5 stars I would!

Not only were the prices already on the cheaper side for the food quality and consindering its in central London, the staff was so nice, they gave us free miso soup and mochi for desserts!

My favourite Korean restaurant in London — affordable prices and delicious homemade side dishes. I always recommend this place to any friends looking for good Korean cuisine. During peak hours, it is better not to walk in as they are usually fully booked, so it best to reserve a table before heading over. I absolutely love the authentic Korean flavours here.

This restaurant was such a discovery! We ate so well today. The portions are big, the food is super tasty and the girl working was very nice. They play Kpop and the prices are totally ok for the center of London (actually cheaper than many other restaurants we saw).

The decorative in the restaurant is nice. Food was served very slow even we were the only table for a Sat. lunch. We like the garlic aubergine starter but the Harira soup was a bit too salty.

For the main dishes, chicken Tagine with prune was too sweet; mixed grill came with very tough/dry meat, although the “gravy” sauce was nice, it’s not a memorable dish; and the grilled octopus wasn’t very good quality of seafood. In general, we were slightly disappointed…

We arrived very late, just as the restaurant was about to close, yet they still kindly agreed to welcome us, which was incredibly thoughtful. We were seated in a small, very typical room full of charm — it felt authentic and cozy. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, the service was excellent, and the food was truly delicious, with a strong sense of tradition in every dish. They even offered us tea at the end. If you’re visiting London, this place is an absolute must — charming, warm, and genuinely memorable.

Great modern Indian restaurant in the heart of Soho. The decor is classy, service is great, food is fantastic (everything was very tasty, special mention to the starters - crab cakes and samosas - only the lamb shank was a bit of a letdown). It’s a bit on the pricey side so be warned. We booked the private room for 8 and it was a quiet and colourful room. I’ve been to many good Indians and this one ranks amongst the best. Forget Dishoom which has turned very bad these days, try the Tamarind Kitchen instead, I highly recommend it!

Omg!!! I just found an amazing Indian food with amazing cocktail restaurant! We were hungry and I am definitely gonna say that this have been by far my amazing experience dinning in london🫶🏻 …. Very decent and delicious food, lovely atmosphere and great service! The chicken korma worth getting ur hand on!

My wife and I had an amazing dining experience here. Our reservation was for 22:15 because we were coming right after a show and the kitchen closes at 22:30. We knew it was a bit of a stretch but the service was sooo amazing nonetheless. They accommodated everything and more for us. I did not get the names of the members who accommodated us but it was a young lady and gentleman and they were awesome.

The food is another thing. A1! I recommend the lamb shank FOR SURE! I will most certainly be back and will be happy to patronize this wonderful restaurant again.

Went in for a very late dinner and caught them just before kitchen closed. We were lucky! We had a mix of a coupe small plates, grill plates and a veggie solution. It was all very good and tasty. It was pricy given we didn't have a single main though.

We dined at tamarind kitchen for a date night. We were given a table and requested the hostess for a different one which she kindly accommodated. The drinks cocktails alcoholic and non-alcoholic was fantastic. The papdi chaat was tangy and delicious. The main course portions were big and filling. The Briyani was flavourful. The butter chicken was slight thinner which is  unusual to texture of the dish but tasty. Overall a good dining experience with good service and ambience.

The staff of this restaurant has verbally confirmed halal status.

Visited with my wife following a show at the Palladium. We had no reservation and managed to get a bench seat outside (although in a covered space).

There was a busy & lively atomsphere in the shared complex serving multiple bars & restaurants. Christmas carol singers brought a good deal of Yuletide cheer to all & sundry.

Service was swift & courteous throughout leaving appropriate pauses and minimal interruption.

The food itself was decent fare, well faced and it didn't feel excessive or miserly. Sauces, glazes, & rubs are the order of the day in regards to flavour profile.

The bill came in strong at a crisp £90 precisely with an included 12% servixlce charge. However, modern cost of living, ingredients, staff wage expectation & it being London on a Saturday night it is to be expected.

We enjoyed our meal, we were not blown away but certainly we were satisfied with our meal before heading home.

Me & my partner spontaneously came here in the evening for dinner. My review is solely for what I ate.

I ordered the No Beef burger, two portions of skinny fries, two dips of Sriracha Mayo & apple juice. For £14, I think it’s a disgrace that the burger does not come with fries. I even had to order two portions of fries & another dip because the single portion of fries & dip was small & unsatisfying. The burger tasted good but was luke warm which further spoiled a bad dining experience. Even my partner only ordered two starter dishes & that alone was £25 in total. I would laugh if it wasn't so enraging.

The staff did the bare minimum & didn’t even check in or ask us how our meal was.

This was a very disappointing and frustrating dining experience.  This establishment is one of the most grossly overpriced restaurants l've come across in a while and I would not recommend it to anyone irregardless of dietary requirements. My partner also shares these sentiments & expressed that it’s a mediocre restaurant that charges high end prices.

There are many other restaurants that are better value for money that provide better tasting food.

Never been here before but looked at the menu and everything looked delicious.
Was sat outside under a nice warm heater and a blanket which was incredibly cosy and made me feel all Autumnal.

The service was quick and efficient. Jashir my service was amazing. Fast, friendly & bright eyed. He was attentive and made me feel not pressured to make a decision on what to eat until I was ready. Even turned the heaters back on for me when they shut themselves off. Grateful.

The food was sooooo worth the wait. First time trying fried chicken and waffles together and my god they were amazing! Could have eaten more and more of them.

Came to Dirty Bones with my sister and mum, with them both having already come to this establishment. The food was good, and prepared fast, would have preferred if it was a bit more, we all had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was enough as show in picture only suggestion would be the waffle. That is my only gripe, we were served by Luca who was lovely, polite and consistent. Always checking to see if we were satisfied and if we needed to refill our water. Would happily return if in the area again.

Had an amazing solo dinner at Dirty Bones Carnaby! It was fully booked, but Rory found me a seat at the bar and made me feel so welcome. Mati and Jared kept me company with great chats, incredible cocktails, and amazing service throughout. Namsa was super sweet -she even charged my phone when it died! Such a lovely, attentive team. You guys honestly deserve a pay rise!!

The best place in London for fresh, exquisite Japanese cuisine. Of all the meals I enjoyed in London and Paris, this was my absolute favorite. The ambiance and entrées were outstanding. I will definitely return on every visit to London and highly recommend it to anyone traveling there. 🤤🤤

This is a fantastic spot for an elevated dining experience. The stylish, dimly lit ambiance is perfect for a date night or celebratory meal. The Unlimited Sushi Platter offers incredible value, and the quality and freshness of the fish were consistently top-notch. Beyond the sushi, don't skip the small plates—the crispy, flavorful Katsu Buns and the delicious Takoyaki are absolute must-try appetizers! Great service sealed the deal.

I’ve been wanting to visit Aqua Kyoto for a while, and it truly lived up to my expectations. The interior is stunning, and the menu offers a great variety, including a fantastic tasting menu for first-timers. The service was impeccable—staff were polite, genuinely positive, and clearly proud of the restaurant, which was so lovely to see. The food was melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the atmosphere felt like a refined, quiet understated luxury rather than something loud or in your face. I would absolutely recommend it.

Aqua Kyoto in London is a great spot for anyone who loves good food and wants real value for money. The set menu is genuinely impressive — unlimited sushi, unlimited cocktails, a main course, and a shared dessert all included. The sushi was fresh and tasty, and the cocktails didn’t feel watered down or rushed, which was a nice surprise.

The food overall was very delicious, and each dish felt well put together without trying too hard. For what you pay, you get a lot, and it feels worth every bit. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the staff are friendly and quick to help without hovering.
I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Great overall experience. Very different to anywhere we'd been before. Bit of a club/restaurant hybrid, which we enjoyed very much. Service and food were both excellent. Very good choice of dishes and everything we chose was wonderful, particularly the Sakura Blossom dessert. Amazing!

All meat is halal (except Wagyu). Alcohol is served.

I visited on the weekend morning. There are seating area both indoor & outdoor but it’s super windy so I chose to sit inside. The area in the shop is quite small and cannot fit if customer has a baby pushchair. Also, the high table and seating area downstairs are not accessible which is definitely not kid-friendly.
I’ve ordered a pistachio crossiant which the taste was not bad but absolutely not worthy for this price. The staff seems nice and can tell that he’s trying his best to serve 3-4 groups of customers alone.

I had never visited Elan before, assuming it was more about aesthetics for the ‘Gram. However, I was pleasantly surprised the coffee and cakes were actually quite good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Plus point they stay open late (until 11pm)

Tiny cute space, with different pastries. It’s good. Pretty expensive for what it is but it’s London.

Was in the area and wanted to try somewhere different to Pret which is across the street. Got a falafel wrap which was decent but was most wrap with only a small amount of filling towards the ends. Ends were also hard so wasn't about to eat those. They "ran out" of all fresh juice opens so I went for the lemonade. This place is nice to try out once for the 'gram but would opt for the sweet treats instead and go somewhere else for savoury.

Small but very nicely presented.

The stairs going down to the bathrooms are very steep and not for people with difficulties moving.

The pistachio Spanish latte was sweet and creamy.. very nice.

I have been in London for 3 months for a study abroad program and this is bar none the best restaurant in the entirety of London and all of the many places I have travelled while here (Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast, Galway, Barcelona, Amsterdam, Paris, Brussels, Luxembourg, and Berlin). If you ever travel to this side of world I can not recommend this place enough for it is the best place I have found to the point where I have come back once a week for the entirety of my time here. I cannot recommend this place enough if you have any love whatsoever for the taste of chicken whatsoever. May this place remain open for years to come so if I ever return I may enjoy its delicious chicken once more.

I visited Wingmans with my two brothers after hearing great things about the place. Overall, we had a very enjoyable experience and would give it 4 stars.

The halloumi cheese was delicious, the chicken katsu was fantastic, and the squid was cooked perfectly. However, the chicken wings were a bit too saucy and heavily seasoned for our taste.

The burger with the breaded chicken breast was a little too heavily breaded, but still tasty overall.

The service was attentive and friendly, which added positively to our experience. I would recommend Wingmans for anyone looking for good quality food with a lively atmosphere.

This time we tried Wings Wednesday buy one portion of wings and get the second portion half price. (£11 per portion inc 8 wings and £16.50 for two portions 16 wings)

Nice friendly staff, atmosphere is great and food is second to none!

Elevated fried chicken experience, unfortunately doesn't work as delivery with holeless boxes leading to condensation and soggy fried chicken. Would recommend to stick to dining in. The flavors were good. I got the boneless versions which were a little to thick would have preferred smaller strips.

A genuinely great place for wings, with so many flavor options and all the ones we tried were genuinely really good! We also gave the pork belly bites a try which did not disappoint, will definitely be coming back to try more of the wing flavours

The place was super busy on a weekday too which was telling for the food, but we still got seated quickly - staff were nice and helpful and the location is obviously super convenient

All of our Chicken is Halal. We don’t use alcohol in any of our sauces. The Short Rib is also Halal.

Masala Zone Soho

Criminal Portions. (Response to Restaurant at Bottom)

I have to say I was shocked. I’ve been to Masala Zone before a few times but this will be the last time I go.

Firstly the food was ok but where I was completely thrown off was the portion sizing. For 3 people we spent £130. 3 starters. 1 meat main. 1 Black Dhaal side and some rotis 1 rice.

The rotis were the size of my palm, enough for 3 mouthfuls. It is plain flour and water. £5+ for 2 which is not even the size of 1 regular. The rice equally bad portion. These are some of the cheapest ingredients to make and to be served that?

The lentils were an equally criminal portion. The meat main was loaded with cardamom and not in a nice way

Disgusting portions sizes actually.

Never again.

I’m not going to fill out some long form for you. Fix your silly portion sizes. How shameful of you to be charging over £5 for rotis that are the size of a palm. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Same for the main courses and side. Such terrible portions.

Our first time to try the Masala Zone restaurant, we opted for the one in Soho as it was closest one to us. The place was nicely decorated, quite busy. We came a bit early so waited a few minutes till our table was ready.
The menu is quite interesting with many options, as it was our first we wanted to try different utensils and share which was a great idea.
We ordered the Samosa Chaat and Chicken 65 as starters, both dishes were delicious. For mains we went with chicken chops, butter chicken, lamb biryani and Malai chicken tikka, all tasted amazing but my favorite was the Malai chicken and lamb biryani.
We also took the steamed rice, black dal and Raita as sides.
Desert we opted for Gulab Jamun, mango sorbet, mango srikhand and gajar halwa, I favorite was the gulab followed by the sorbet but not a fan of the other two but that’s my taste as at the end everything was eaten 😋.
The service was amazing, very helpful staff with friendly attitudes.
Will definitely go again.

This place genuinely feels Michelin star–worthy. I absolutely loved the experience.
A big thanks to my friend ritu, who works here and recommended the restaurant and took us along — the staff behaviour was exceptional, warm, and very welcoming.
Coming to the food: we ordered shahi paneer with naan, and it was absolutely delicious. Even though I’m a non-vegetarian and usually go for biryani, the shahi paneer completely won me over — rich, flavourful, and perfectly cooked.
If it’s your first visit, I’d highly recommend ordering the shahi paneer with naan, and definitely try their thali as well — it’s amazing.
Truly enjoyed everything here and looking forward to visiting again, many more times.

i am very satisfied with the service and the staff was very helpfull and very informative, not really crowded and we got our seat very fast i love it and all the food came about 10-15 minutes. keep up the good works 🙌🏼

We ordered Karwari Crispy Fried Prawns, Butter Chicken with Cheese Naan, Shahi Mughlai Chicken Biryani and Sorbets(blood orange) for dessert. The waitress was very friendly and the food was great. Will totally visit bargain next time we come to London!

We had an excellent lunch here today,
every course we ate packed a punch of delicious flavour. The dumplings were fantastic that sauce is to to die for, the scallops were great loved the chicken stock and the mushroom croquette was flavoursome. For the main we shared the lamb pie and the pomme Anna which looked beautiful. It was my first time having Filipino food - what a great introduction.

Had a fantastic meal at Donia last night. What a fantastic representation of Filipino food.
My friend had suggested it and mentioned it was in the Michelin Guide and it definitely exceeded my high expectations.

We had the adobo mushroom croquettes, the sea bream kinilaw, the chicken inasal and the aubergine and tomato ensalada on a pomme anna.
Everything was insanely delicious. Well balanced, with interesting combinations of flavours that kept your intrigue and attention. I honestly couldn't pick a favourite between the kinilaw, the chicken or the ensalada. And even then the croquettes were great, just didn't wow like those three did which had all something new and different to offer.

Very much would love to go back and try other dishes on the menu. Well worth a visit!

Simple birthday celebration of my son Vinze at Donia Restaurant in London. It was a great experience with them. Foods are phenomenal. Top notch. Well presented and so delicious. Still twist of Filipino Causine. The staff are very accommodating and they serve us so well. At the end we had free ice  ube ice cream for the celebrant. Definitely we will be back again.

Excellent excellent excellent. Every dish slaps with flavours and I basically drank every sauce with rice. Not even sure how you cook pork that tender with skin that crispy. Chicken is juicy and beautifully charred. Hot plates and clean plating. Great service and interior.

And the price is amazingly reasonable.

Definitely coming back.

Came here last week to celebrate me and my boyfriend’s 4th anniversary and we had the most welcoming, and amazing dinner experience here.

We ordered the pandesal and pork and prawn dumplings for starters and lechon and caldereta pie for mains, which I all recommend. Every dish had such a unique flavour profile and the sauces here, are done really well. I loved the liver peppercorn sauce that came with the lechon - such a nice twist on Mang Tomas. Even the jasmine rice had a hint of garlic, replicating the classic garlic rice in the Philippines. Honestly, I could go on and on about how each dish surprised us and had a twist we didn’t expect.

Besides the food, the service was 10/10. Everyone was so lovely and really made this anniversary such a special day for the both of us, from the rose tea we were able to try (and loved) to the ube ice cream. It really made our experience here such a great one, I can’t wait to come back to bring family and friends. And will definitely be back to try the scallops and chicken inasal recommended by Ana, who was the sweetest ever and really looked after us too.

I definitely recommend Donia for any special occasion, or to just try a fun twist on classic Filipino dishes.
