One of my fave Japanese restaurants not because it’s refined but because it’s no fuss great food which hits the spot and is so reasonable. the menu has everything you could ever fancy and more. They have dishes which only the most authentic Japanese restaurants would bother having such as natto , soft chicken bone etc.

This was the second time dining at this Eat Tokyo and it will be my absolute last. We were seated in what looked like a basement. White empty thin cheap walls, tables super close together, only seperated by clear standing frames to abide social distancing. Completely pointless if you ask me, shouldn't have that many people coupled up in one small room anyways! One of the worst restaurant experiences, due to a super loud rude obnoxious family of 10 people. Talking very loudly, getting drunk. We asked for a quieter table but we were told the upstairs area was busy, which we didn't believe as we could have happily waited for a table to free up. We had no were else to go so decided to deal with it and try and make the best. As the night went on the family got louder and louder, then got to a point where another family sitting between them and us had enough and asked them to be quiet. They were met by a rude family member who decided he wanted to fight. The other family member were trying to calm the situation down and at this point the restaurant manager came down. Who I thought was absolutely out of his depth, had no idea how to deal with the situation, instead of literally just asking them to leave. We ate super fast, we couldn't wait to get out of there and all we got was an apology, nothing was on the house for the inconvenience and I told the manager he should not have people like this in the restaurant. Its disrespectful for everyone around having to deal with it and then having to pay for a meal which was ruined because of this expense. I thought this would be an authentic lovely evening which just ended up being a night at a drunken pub.

Great Covid friendly environment with a huge selection of food. The drinks are really good as well. Price is quite fair for the location. This sake right here is the winner. Good food great prices.

Simply the best, better than all the rest

I've been to Eat Tokyo many times and I always find it delicious and very good value! Their menu is extensive and overwhelming but you can find most foods to satisfy your Japanese food cravings...but like us, you may end up ordering too much food if too many things catch your eye. I will definitely be returning again.
