This was my first time eating here and it was amazing! I got the Chicken Phat Box and every bit of food in it was delicious and just the right amount of spicy. The jerk sauce was delicious as well!

Visited @afrikana for the first time. They have branches all over the UK I visited the one in @lakeside 📍 Level 3, Food Court, Lakeside shopping centre, 429-430 West Thurrock, Grays RM20 2ZP. You get given a buzzer when the food is ready to be collected, did take a while however was very busy! We ordered ‘My Main Chick Wrap’ which was Gilled chicken wrapped in a tortilla with mixed veggies, crispy leaves and cheese, mixed with sauce that you choose I got mixed Peri sauce this was £9:95 and came with fries and coleslaw. Also ordered ‘Butterfly Bun Burger’ which was Grilled butterfly chicken in a brioche bun with melted cheese, lettuce, tomato, crispy onions and peri mayo sauce again came with chips and coleslaw and was £10:95. We both enjoyed the food and had no complaints minus the chips portion being quite small. We both also tried out two of the mocktail options which we enjoyed we got ‘The Afrikana Fruit Punch’ & the ‘ Passion Please’ both cost £3:50.

Really enjoyed the food from here. We tried the phat box which was a good portion. Good quality and good flavours. Customer service was very good.

First time in Lakeside and saw a huge crowd around one place so I went to check it out and I understood why after trying out the food! Most amazing variety of food to offer and the owners were so kind and welcoming. They advised me on their best options, which are the Phat Box and Island Fish and Chips. They were not wrong and I enjoyed every single bit of it. I went back to order dessert and again, I was not let down! The Pistachio Bombe is one of the most amazing deserts I have ever had and I have never come across it before! 10/10 service! 10/10 food! 10/10 taste and flavours. Go spend your money without any doubt 💥

Initially attracted by the large crowds outside the store and after ordering I can see why it’s so popular! For was well cooked, great portion size and tasty. Staff were very friendly and smiling despite how busy it was. I have already recommended to friends and family and will definitely be back!
