I went to @cristinassteak to try their BBQ Beef Brisket Burger. Such a epic burger. The beef was soo fatty, juicy and tender. With BBQ sauce, I personally don't like BBQ sauce much, but still enjoyed this, but would probably order it again with no BBQ sauce. The beef had a lovely smoked flavour as well.⁣

Also tried the slow roast lamb shank and chicken supreme for mains and starter with mushroom aranchini with beef bites. All lovely dishes.⁣

Finished the evening with the an amazing chocolate brownie and Eton  mess, tho I wasn't to keen on it in a mug.⁣

A great restaurant that everyone should try. There's not many restaurants like this that have halal options in London.⁣

Alcohol served, but most people that dine here are Muslim so you don't see any alcohol around. Halal status is confirmed by owner. As a thank you for previous visits and reviews I've done, my meal was given on the house. But this doesn't change my thoughts. Lovely food.

Went to one of my favourite places (and best discoveries) @cristinassteak in Barking for a quick lunch today.

Their lunch menu has some bangin deals. Got this delicious 24 hour Smoked BBQ beef brisket burger with chips for £9 (plus service) the meat was so soft and tender and packed full of flavour. Absolutely delicious.

On entrance, the table was dressed with festive decor and honey and chilli roasted nuts, perfectly sticky and crunchy. For starters we had the Cristina’s fish cakes which were soft with a crispy coating but they had a very intense fish flavour, which we personally did not enjoy. The pumpkin soup on the other hand was hearty and rich, with a delicious creamy texture and sweetness served with seasoned croutons. 

The mains consisted of rosemary roast turkey and butchers steak served to a medium pink, both of which were very dry even with the gravy and bread sauce. However the vegetables were delicious, the honey roasted parsnips and carrots were full of flavour and glazed to perfection with a slight char. 

To round off  the meal, we had the sticky toffee pudding with a moist sponge cake drizzled with a rich warm toffee sauce and the chocolate soufflé was indulgent with a perfect gooey centre and definitely rounded off the meal well. 

All in all the xmas dinner was underwhelming, but their usual steak, burgers and Sunday Roasts are definitely worth trying out!

Cristina's Steak

Wow Wow Wow OMG the burgers are amazing!! The charing, smokiness and the flavours are out of this world. The smokey BBQ brisket burger was by far the best, the meat was so tender and just melted in your mouth with unbelievable flavour. Can't believe I have never ordered from this place can't wait to try more. The best burgers I've had Ever! Highly recommended you won't be disappointed.

Update: I have also had lunch at the restaurant, great customer service and again the food was lovely.

Really enjoyed the food. The Stake was perfect, service was really attentive and friendly. The starter was not so good, maybe it was because we were late. But the stake tho- on point. You can park around the area. Eg Asda

Amazing food and excellent service. The restaurant is clean and a great set up for family and friends. We went for lunch and ordered from the lunch time menu 'Smashed Double Burger' (extra patty) and the 'Prime Bistro Steak' both with fries and the house lemonade. The burger tasted great! The patty is thin and full of flavour it wasn't dry. The steak was cooked to perfection, we ordered it medium rare. Very reasonable lunch time pricing all that for 2 people cost £20! Looking forward to their Sunday roast! Definitely recommend.

First visit. 2 waitresses, one is OK other one bit slow. Service average. Starters were not very good. We had the wings (cold and nothing special taste wise), prawns (slightly overdone) and popcorn chicken (nothing like the KFC ones as these were more like almost golf ball sizes and were made of minced chicken and very salty). Did not enjoy any of the starters.
Mains - we ordered fillet steak and the porterhouse. Both really nice. We ordered everything medium well. One fillet was slightly over but the rest was lovely, pink in the middle, nice and soft. Creamed spinach - lovely. Haloumi fries-nice. Onion strings (can't remember exactly what they were called but were lovely). Garlic mash - actually awful and dry. They were kind enough to discount the bill by 10%.
I would return just for the steaks, but not in a hurry. The ambience isn't all that but we were there at 3pm.

It was very quiet for a Saturday afternoon and we were asked if we had a reservation- I looked around confused but hey I hear they've been super busy with the eat out to help out scheme! So maybe it was only expected of us. The lunch menu is limited with no healthy options so salad goers this ain't a place for you. However, the dinner menu looked lush and so I opted in for the smoked brisket burger at midday #YOLO- it was excellent!

My partner went for the chicken and waffle dish which in honest fact was not edible at all. It was overly flavoured with Buffalo sauce and something else (maybe lemon juice). I mean despite being a huge spice and hot sauce fans. It was way too much to bare- The waffle was tasty tho.

Opted in for additional sides: sweet potato and halloumi fries. The sweet potato fries were undercooked and the Halloumi was fine. Oh, not forgetting the homemade potato fries with my burger was PERFECT!

Staff were great and checked in on us to ask how the food was. Given the lovely service, we never got around telling them the truth.

Moral of the story- my meal was delicious but not so much for my partner.

Perhaps next time we'll go for dinner instead and try the steak.
