Drinks: Passion Fruit Martini - Lyre's Dry London Spirit, premium vanilla syrup, passionfruit pulp and lime. Lychee Spritz - Lychee, ginger, lemongrass and lime. Masala Karak Chai - Very Authentic Starters: Mixed Papadums with a selection of Chutneys. Papadums were very crispy and they came with a fantastic selection of home made sauces. Momos - Steamed Nepalese Beef dumplings served with Tamarind, Ginger and Chilli dipping sauce. A delicious light starter with a freshly made dipping sauce. Papdi ki Chaat - it felt like I was in India. Classic Old Delhi chaat- Spicy potato and chickpeas, crispy papdi with sweet yoghurt, tamarind and green chutney. Mains: Tiger Prawn Balchao - This dish was unbelievable. The prawns were big and the flavours were mouthwatering. It was sweet, sour and it had a kick at the end of all that. By far one of my favourite dishes to date. Ghost Dum Biryani - The Biryani was absolutely delicious, the lamb was tender and full of flavour. It came with one of the best Riathas I’ve ever had. Gobi Matar - Again a massive hit. The Gobi and peas were crispy. It was a light but very flavoursome dish. We enjoyed this dish very much. Chicken Handi Murgh - It’s similar to a chicken jalfrazi but much more enhanced in flavour. Crispy peppers and onions cooked to a high standard. Peshwari Nan complimented this dish very well. Desserts: Pistachio Crème Brulee With Masala Biscuit - Very well presented. An extremely tasty dessert. Conclusion - A great dining experience. The interior of the restaurant was done to an extremely high standard. The food was even better. The presentation of the dishes were amazing followed by the friendly experienced staff. Thank you for having us. Can’t wait to revisit.

Came here a few weeks back for a birthday meal and booked the pod. Let me say the service and food was very good, the waiters arewent above and beyond to make the evening so nice. They didn’t have chips on the menu but made it for my daughter. We ordered a few starters but the lamb chops stood out so much the taste was so nice and came with a mash potato which was amazing. For mains had the lamb shank which was very tender and came with the gold detail. Will defo definitely be coming bak to this local Gem.

It was my birthday last Friday and visited the Cardamom room a new modern and contemporary Indian restaurant located in South Woodford The restaurant has a Central London vibe has a upmarket menu to match. Here's what I got DRINKS Amererto Sour £8 Lychee Spritz £7 Pina Colada £7 STARTERS Kurkuri bhindi £7 Seared scallops £10 Chilli Panner £8 Papdi ki chaat £7.5 GRILL Adraki lamb chops £21 Duo of chicken tikka £15 MAINS Butter Chicken £15.5 Gosht dum Biryani £17 SIDES Gunpowder Potatoes £8 Butter Naan £3.50 DESSERTS Walnut Chocolate Cake £8 Pistachio Creme Brulee £8 Mango and caradom sorbet £6.50 In general I was very impressed with the overall quality, presentation and taste of food. The starters were great, the massive portion of bhindi fries were so moreish, declious scallops, scrumptious chaat and the lmab chops which come with 4 were 1 inch thick, French trimmed, soft, tender and tasty, something you don't see in East. The biryani was a surprise hit, absolutely delicious, generous amounts of soft tender lamb and packed full of flavour, probably one of the best I've had at a restaurant (better than a £33 I had at central London restaurant) The decor has a dark modern look and you really don't feel like you are in East London. Prices are a little high, but you'll pay more for similar restaurants in Central, but the good point is this is a fully halal restaurant with no alcohol on the menu. The drinks and dessert were not on the same level as the food, needs a bit more refinement but still decent. Overall a fantastic addition to the food scene, kudos for the owners for a full non alcoholic menu, brave in such a middle class area. I went on a Friday evening and every table had a baby or child so that was good to see it's a family friendly plave. Free parking after 6.30pm with 1 hour free parking before. Close to the station. My meal was complimentary. Full Review to follow on the blog in a few weeks.

Visited this evening for the first time with my husband and was pleased with the first impressions and ambience of the restaurant. We were seated and given clean, quality menus. We ordered a pina colada, ginger ale and 2 diet cokes. Regular cokes were brought out in error and were quickly substituted. The seating was comfortable and we were brought out a small table lamp which was a novel touch. We ordered aloo tikki for starters, which took a tad on the longer side to come out, but no big deal. Well presented and tasty. Mains we ordered, chicken tikka, handi murgh, butter naan, plain and saffron rice. The bread was soft and rice fluffy. Chicken tikka was cooked just right, nicely flavoured. Handi murgh was also good, particularly because I prefer thigh meat. The pina colada was really tasty, I would have preferred a piece of fresh pineapple as the garnish rather than the dried one personally. For dessert we wanted the almond kheer, but it was sadly finished, so we had the pistachio creme brulee and the date sponge with chai ice cream. The brulee was really good and I'd recommend it. The sponge was a bit dense for me, but the ice cream was great. We had this with karak chai, which was lovely. I felt all portion sizes were spot on. If you fancy a nice sit down meal where the service is excellent, I recommend trying The Cardamom Room. The service was top throughout our sitting. Regularly clearing dishes, wiping the table and checking we were happy without being intrusive.

We went yesterday and even received 20%off our bill and liked the cleanliness and decor of the place. The lamb chops were delicious and the crème brûlée was lovely. The restaurant is non alcoholic but we still had fun
