Halal Reviews for La Vaca Birria Mission District

Best authentic Mexican food I have had, and it's Halal!!! What more can I ask? All of our orders tasted so good.. Large portions... Reasonable prices given the location and the quality of the food... I'd come back in a heartbeat everytime I'm in SF.

Well, this place is really deserve to spread the word. At first it is very well hidden in crowded 24th street-surrounded by many Mexican/Spanish restaurants -not easy to find. Second, they have very spacious kitchen even bigger than dining room! This space allows them to produce some ingredients in house like tortillas. I never seen it anywhere else, very cool. Third, service was absolutely amazing, they work by pay first get you food after model and cashier/server left absolutely wonderful impression, very positive and nice man. Food was just amazing, tacos had a lot of stuffing and house made tortilla was super soft and delicious. I recommend to try their green hot sauce-yammer. Michelada wasn't mine thing, overly spiced but don't let me turn you around, try it on your own.

We walked into this place an order at the counter. Then self seating and waited for our name to be called. They have an orange and green sauce that I was indifferent about. The quesabirria was good with a flavorful consomé. The trio plate is worth is because it comes with 2 fried empanadas, 5 shrimp, and a large side of tajin fries. Horchata was good and creamy.

Quesabirrias are bomb!! We started eating right away so the pic is half way through. The Quesabirria Azul was delicious and a homemade tortilla.... can't beat it!!
