Dave's Hot Chicken

Freaking exceptional. Super juicy and well seasoned chicken. Huge portions which a lot of spice options. The spice level is pretty true to the name. I ordered medium and it had a kick. I plan to go back and try some of the hotter options.

The tenders here are some of my all time favorites. Take out is super quick and easy

So damn delicious! I did one medium and one hot sandwich. I did the #2 combo,  it consists of 2 sliders and French fries.  These sandwiches are quite large. One was more than enough for me. I only had the medium while there and took the hot one home. The fries are heavily seasoned, I enjoyed them..I had to try the Mac and cheese , which was really creamy and the Kyle slaw , that was crisp and fresh. Both were great. The atmosphere is nice.

With multiple heat levels to choose from you can't go wrong.  You can choose no spice up to Reaper.  I've had both medium and hot tenders.  Both had excellent flavor.  The tenders are large pieces of breast meat with a crispy exterior and tender and juicy interior.  I got the combo which comes with fries, dry white bread, pickles and Dave's sauce.  The crinkle cut fries are lightly seasoned with their spice mix and cooked to perfection.  The Dave's sauce makes for an excellent dipping sauce for the fries.  The bread, in my opinion, adds nothing to the meal, in fact I now just ask not to include it, as I hate wasting food.

Overall, I think Dave's is one of the best chicken places around.

I had such high hopes for this place. I was hoping to find a new go-to for fried chicken. Unfortunately, I would still choose Buffalo Wild Wings over this place.

First off, the chicken tenders were not nearly as juicy as all the reviews claim. My extra hot tender was so dry that it practically fell apart into dust when cutting into it. The rub was so salty and dry I was coughing as soon as I put it into my mouth.

My hot slider was *edible*. Honestly all I can say. Lack of flavor, cheese was soggy, coleslaw didn’t add anything to it and the bun overtook the tender. And if that’s supposed to be “hot”, they should be ashamed of themselves.

I’ve had better (and tastier) Mac and cheese from a frozen stouffers box. Tasted like soggy cardboard noodles.

Tried the coleslaw by itself and it tasted like straight kale. No other flavor profiles at all. Granted, I understand it’s kale slaw but you need something else to balance that earthy flavor.

Cheese fries and Dave’s sauce were probably the best part of the whole meal. And that’s really saying something considering they were soggy, cold, and over salted with whatever seasoning they use.

I will not be returning.

This is fast becoming a go to favorite for my wife and I.  Great service, friendly staff. The food was just right for our heat levels.  We ordered medium heat.  I ordered the 2 sliders and they are too much to usually eat at one sitting! Will be back!
