Visited on their opening day, booked for 7.15 - very easy booking system. Food was superb. An excellent range of burgers, fries and sides to choose from, all executed well and clearly cooked fresh. The milkshakes are also worth a mention as they were absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding, Mike was charming, witty, attentive without being overbearing and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be back soon!

That was probably the best vegan burger I've had in ages and the fries and onion rings were perfectly cooked and crisp. They had a great selection of meat and vegan options and it was difficult to choose because they all sounded great. I'm not vegan but the Oprah Sin-Free burger sounded too good not to try. The burger and fries arrived quick and hot. The table service speed and friendliness was top notch.

I heard such great reviews about Fat Hippo but maybe because it's so new, the didn't live up to the hype. I ordered a salted caramel milkshake which turned out to be a chocolate milkshake with a bit of salted caramel sauce on top! Seriously!!!! I asked the waitress to change it, I swapped it for a basic strawberry milkshake which wasn't sweet enough and lacked strawberry flavour. OK onto the main meal. I have to admit, food looked amazing but tasted horrible, I mean horrid. The chicken thigh was brown, greasy and not easy on the stomach. The cheese wasn't melted properly. The dirty fries were cheap and tasted like they were a supermarket's own frozen fries. The staff didn't look like they wanted to be there and didn't even query when I asked for the bill after taking a bite of my food and dissecting the rest to see what was edible. Best part of dinner was leaving the restaurant and deciding where else to go!
