The food is amazing, it was brought over very quickly and was hot. Portions are huge too. The tables are really close together so felt like we were sat with strangers while we ate. The restaurant is clean and is nicely done out. Service was a bit slow though with regards to waiting for drinks and the bill etc. It's a busy restaurant with a quick turn around. For a quick bite to eat I'd recommend, but not somewhere you could take your time.

We had a great time at Fat Hippo. The food was really good, burgers were delicious and the sides were awesome. I can definitely recommend the dirty waffle fries. Menu is good and has a lot of options for people who don’t eat meat which is good for a burger joint. Really impressive selection drinks too including some interesting and delicious cocktails. Staff were really helpful and enthusiastic, our server, who’s name I didn’t catch was particularly energetic and engaging. Prices are bang on, you get a really good amount of food for your money and the drinks are reasonable too. Overall, really enjoyed the experience and would definitely go back again!

A very close 5 star! With a few tweaks I would happily rate 5 stars for this amazing place. The food was massive and tasted incredible, the fries and chip were both so fresh, and the staff were very friendly! The reason for 4 stars is that, both orders received chips when one was asked for fries, this was sorted by a member of staff extremely fast however. And the other reason being it was slightly confusing getting to the toilets as it was right by the kitchen, and the labels on the doors were quite small, exiting the toilets the floor was pretty slippery also. Overall an amazing experience, and with a few improvement a this place is a definite 5 star.

Had a wonderful experience eating at the fat hippo today. Food stunning and amazing staff. Thanks again to our waiter (Irish fella forgotten his name now sorry dude) who made us feel most welcome. Will be recommending to all friends and family. Can’t wait to visit again soon

Visiting wales ? You need to stop here 🤩 Fat Hippo was a must pretty much just because of their name, we had no idea if it would be good or not and boy did they impress! Service was prompt, polite and patient. All clean and organised throughout. Food was incredible, I went for the Fat Hippo burger, this doesn’t taste like normal burgers it was delicious. I enjoyed every bite. Now if you go make sure to have the Wachos, yes WACHOS. Fat Hippo have killed nachos with this dish. It was so good we have spent most of today thinking of how to make it back in Norwich and become overnight millionaires. Do it, your palette will thank you.
