Family-style Sri Lankan cooking in vibrant, relaxed surroundings

Revisited @hopperslondon in Wigmore St for a meal with the new family as my bro got married so he and his wife treated us .

I wasn't that hungry as I just had breakfast so only had a little bit of a few dishes. The best thing was definitely the lamb shank curry (£16) good deep flavours with a touch of sweetness .

They have changed up the menu as well so there's new items. Other recommendations are the chicken wings and the devilish squid .

We had the private dining area but i wasn't too impressed with the service, nothing major just gaps in food arriving without explanation and having to ask 3 times to refill water is not ideal. So I asked for the service charge to be removed. Never be shy in asking for service charge which was £20 to be removed if it was up to standard. #halalfoodguytip

Food: For starters, we opted for the Calamari Fry and we wern’t disappointed; spicy, tangy and full of flavour. The Masala Dosa was also exceptionally tasty and so was the Lamb Shank Kari. The meat fell off the bone beautifully. The item we most recommend is the Mango Slush, we honestly could’ve had a whole jug 🤤

Hoppers Soho

First trip to Hoppers after hearing recommendation on Off Menu podcast. I absolutely loved it. Soho has so many good Asian restaurants and this one is a gem. Thin and crispy dosas with a perfectly spiced and generously portioned goat curry. Can't wait to return

Incredible! Staff were super friendly, seating outside was well spaced. Food was probably the best I've eaten, anywhere, ever. I hope you'll always be allowed street seating in the summer months!

Be careful with new offer menu!! Food was alright but kind of organised rip off during eat out to help out scheme. They made an exclusive offer menu which says £20 for entire table. You are tricked to buy that thinking with 50% off you will only pay £20. But its not true, they will charge £20 each person, which they avoided to put in to confuse customers. so be careful.

Superb food, with lively ambience, loved the podi dosa and chutney. However, I wish they sold more options in Dessert and chicken.
