Last night I made a trip out of London to St. albans to check out the burgers at @the_meating_room. 
The restaurant is small and can hold around 16 people a max. 
I ordered the St. Peter’s (cheese burger)£7.95 Beef patty, gem lettuce, beef tomato, red onion, homemade burger sauce, mature cheddar with sweet potato chips. 
What I liked was the burger foused on quality ingredients. The beef patty was  thick, juicy and you could taste the natural flavours meat. 
I liked the the burger. I like places like this, they focus on the burger with no gimmicks. I would rank the burger is similar standings to uptown burger, Leyton. The only thing missing from the burger was the option of added fired onions. 
The sweet potatoes fries were perfect and I'm glad they had root beer on the menu. 
I had a bite of the chicken burger which was also good. 
So if you find yourself in St.Albans I would definitely check this place out! 
Oh and I got 50% off using a tastecard! So value for money is brilliant.

The Meating Room St Albans

We went here for a burger break and it was really tasty. Decent priced meals, decent portions and nice atmosphere. The restaurant is quite small thought. Better if you ring and book a place. I recommend The Meating Room 👍

I had a take away meal from The Meating Room for me and my team (totally complying with government guidelines and socially distancing of course).  It was very tasty and we were all very pleased with our choice. We will be back for more!

Small cozy place with warm hospitality. They bake the brioche buns there and the meet is locally sourced and that's what gives the beef burgers authentic taste. 

I went for the House Burger. The patty was exactly as I asked, medium, the relish was the right temperature and as I said the secret ingredient brioche makes that big difference in taste. The sauce was a bit sweet for my liking, perhaps I will go for the hot one next time, but I would still give the burger 9 out of 10.

We also ordered chipotle chicken wings, not that hot but they were good. Buffalo wings next time 😁

Nice little burger joint and I really do love a good burger. Upon arrival we we politely greeted by a member of staff who was busy making milkshakes so we sat ourselves down after grabbing a few menus. Staff came to our table quickly and took our order and the food arrived promptly. We ordered 2 Meating Room Burgers, BBQ wings and a side of coleslaw.

The burgers were flavourful and served on a lovely soft brioche bun. BBQ sauce oozed from the burger upon my first bite and I loved it. Juicy tomato filled my mouth with every bite. I do love a well constructed messy burger. The BBQ wings were tasty but lacked a little something for me.

It was an enjoyable burger but I would've liked a bit more "bite" to it. Maybe more breadcrumbs and egg to bond everything together. The wings: I was expecting piping hot, tender pieces of chicken but I got tasty wings with crispy coating but the meat wasn't as tender as I had hoped.

Overall an enjoyable experience and I would make that drive again and try a different burger.

Ok burger, reasonable price.

It used to be my favourite burger place a couple of years ago, but quality seems to have gone down since then. 

Dish presentation was nice, but burgers were nothing special and fries were completely tasteless.

On the plus side, the location is great and the courgette fries were very tasty.
