Jashan is conveniently located on Hollywood Road by the escalators. There are lots of British expats dining there so the food must be good. Indian food takes an acquired taste because some of the spices can be strong and different, but there is nothing like a good curry in the UK. Anyway, dined here many times hence the photos. The buffet for lunch is also worth trying.

ashan is an Indian restaurant located on Hollywood Road in Central. They offer traditional Indian cuisine including Punjabi region and halal dishes while their kitchen is presently overseen by guest celebrity chef Harpal Singh Sokhi. There is a fair sized dining area at Jashan. Otherwise, you can order delivery through deliveroo if you prefer to eat from within the comfort of your home, office or area hotel. Opening hours are 12 to 2.30pm (lunch) and 6-11pm (dinner) daily. We recently ordered from Jashan and our food arrived in 36 minutes. We first tried the Parmesan Malai Chicken Kebab that was good, the chicken was tender and took on the subtle flavours just fine. We also had the Lamb Rogan Josh which was better. The curry had a bit of spice and fairly rich flavour. The lamb was slightly tender and took on the curry flavours nicely. This was a pretty good Rogan Josh. The palau saffron rice was a generous serving size and tasted as expected. For dessert, we very much enjoyed their gulab juman, the balls were perfect texture and the syrup was expectedly thick and sweet, a nice way to end an overall good Indian lunch from Jashan. Overall, while not a top choice for us in HK, this was still a pretty good lunch from Jashan. Food quality was there and flavours nice. We'll order from them again but may try different dishes next time around to see how we feel about other items on their menu.

I was very pleasantly surprised finding this place when friends invited us there. A beautiful decorated Indian Restaurant, stylish table setting with beautiful plates, cutleries, real copper water mugs...stunning! The food choices are plenty and because we were four of us ... we ordered quite a bit 😋... All dishes were well advised by the staff with a good balance from starters to the amazing curry main courses. Certainly a place we will go back to ... It was a wonderful experience for food and service and the setting made it all complete.

Quite disappointed!!! Majority of the items in starters and main were empty despite requesting the team to replenish. Rice was super dry and hard. Gulab Jamun was empty most of the time. One customer just walked out after waiting for items to replenish. Waitress was trying really hard to please. But, I feel the kitchen was not supportive and too clogged with orders. I could hear commotion in the kitchen just next to the Buffett area. I am not sure if I will go back again.
