Bayleaf Restaurant

We had a wonderful dinner at this restaurant with modern twist. The food was delicious and the staff were friendly.  It was quite a bit more than usual local curry houses but it was well worth it for the occasional treat. When wanting more sophisticated South-Asian culinary delights in a relaxed atmosphere, this would be the place to go. We will be back.

Hands down the best curry restaurant I've had, even comparing some restaurants I've been to in London. Every single thing we ordered was delicious, starting with the wine, poppadoms, and chutney. The mains not only had incredible sauces but the meat quality was perfect, so tender and high quality. The rice was genuinely fragrant with a subtle sweet/spicy scent...I wish I could have bottled it up to wear every day. I know, that's weird but it was that good. The garlic naan had the texture of clouds with a very slight crisp on the outside, and the ratio of garlic was perfect. Then we got to dessert -- at this point I was so full but my partner wanted chocolate ice cream. I wasn't too fussed about ordering it as I just thought we could get chocolate ice cream at home. But boy was I wrong. This ice cream was also hands down the best chocolate ice cream I've ever had. Perfectly sweet with a beautiful texture of chocolate shavings whipped throughout. On top of the food being absolute perfection, everyone who worked there was incredibly nice and provided excellent service.

I'm so glad we found this place...we've been searching for a restaurant like this for years now and are so excited to return regularly. No other restaurants even come close.

Good food, good service and slightly overpriced. Definitely worth trying.

First time here and so impressed.  Lovely clean place.  Staff are very attentive and the food was absolutely amazing.

Excellent food, great service. Such a nice restaurant.
