Tanoreen is a Palestinian restaurant, if you are familiar with middle eastern food then you will definitely recognise a lot of the dishes served here. From the starters like the leafs in rice, humus, and the levantine rice to lamb chops and there go to the lam shank. The flavour was good and the food was all well seasoned and spiced. We didn't make any reservations however Tanoreen was kind enough to give us a table. I really liked the vibes here and the atmosphere was very chill and relaxed. I would recommend this restaurant, if you haven't tried Palestinian food before and want a high end dining experience here, the staff are super cool and friendly. Just remember to make a reservation.

Visiting from LA and stopped here, so impressed by everything about this place. Creative cocktails, great service and everything fresh and delicious. Will be coming back next time I’m in the city!

The atmosphere is quite nice, especially the Arabic vibe that matches reflects the origin of the restaurant as a Middle Eastern restaurant.
The service is excellent. Very friendly and professional staff. The food is good. The menu offers verity of dishes. It's just the grilled kebab doesn't have the taste that I'm used to in the Middle East. The appetizer was very good.

Hands down, THE BEST PALESTINIAN FOOD IN NYC! Everything on the menu cannot be missed. But we loved the lamb shank, was so flavorful. Hummus, falafel, baba mezze is a must for starting up. Don't forget about the salads too! Cheese knafah and walnut dessert are served best with thier house cardamom spiced coffee ☕️ 😋

supremely decent spot for great vegetarian options. had a lot of tasty appetizers along with some okay entrees. the tea and baklava were also great dessert options. overall would recommend trying a bunch of appetizers that you guys might like and perhaps next time I will include some skewers on the list.

The food here is hands down delicious. I very much enjoyed the taste of Lebanese culture that was expressed through the food I had here today. My friends and I decided to split the supreme mix which consisted of most of the meats served here, all cooked to perfection and flavorful. The rice was nothing special and I enjoyed the salty fries.
The reason I rated three starts is because
1) it was a hot, humid New York City day & the restaurant barley had AC on, luckily I wore lots of deodorant 😂.
2) this place has been getting some attention lately so how could they let their bathroom be out of sorts? My daughter ran out saying she saw a bug on the toilet and it made my heart drop. When I checked the bathroom there was in fact a small roach but even more strange… no toilet seat!
3) like I mentioned earlier, I had brought my daughter (7 years old) who asked the waitress for lemonade and when coming around toward the end of the bill the waitress had asked if she wanted another one, my daughter being a child excitedly said yes however I strongly said no… low and behold the waitress brought another lemonade and decided to charge us for it too…… the only thing worse than paying for something you ordered is something you didn’t want/order? 😂

Lastly this place looks very big in pictures but it’s definitely deceiving lol.

Love this place. Ate here for the second time on Friday. I lived in Lebanon for five years and can attest that the food is authentic and well prepared. We were a group of 4 women- had a hummus and fattoush (salad) to start and then the deluxe platter. Yes it is an expensive platter at $89, but it was enough meat for all 4 of us and we didn’t even finish it all! So we felt it was fairly priced. Service was great also, highly recommend

The food was the best Lebanese food of my life, other than my grandmother’s! You can rarely find sfia on a menu, and this was a total highlight, spiced and cooked perfectly, from the baked dough to the beef mixed with pine nuts, to the touch of cinnamon and allspice (I think!) The tabbouleh was also perfection, heavy on tomatoes and parsley, very light on bulgur wheat. We loved the vegetarian grape leaves, the labneh with a delicate layer of olive oil on top, the hummus and the fattoush. Be sure to get the vegetarian sampler plate so that you can sample all these dishes.

Another wonderful Halal spot. Our waiter Mohammed was a wonderful person to be around and the food was so delicious. My favorite was the hummus with lamb. A very tight spot and I would recommend getting there early to be able to get a good place to sit. Love it. Oh and definitely try the baklava.

Went for lunch, staff were very friendly and efficient. Sat in the outside dining area which was very fancy for an outside dining area. Had the dogs with me, and they were warmly greeted and well looked after as well :). Ordered the shish kebab and the chicken salad. They were cooked to order, which took an extra couple of minutes but lead to beautiful things happening on our plates. Absolutely delicious, nice big portions. A real gem. Will definitely be going back.

Wow. This restaurant blew me away. It does everything it is supposed to do right, right. From the moment I was first greeted at the door to the moment I left, everything was great. They truly understood the Restaurant Week assignment and executed every dish that we ordered, to perfection. They will have my business in the future for sure. We ordered the hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, black iron shrimp, salmon, chicken breast and the two desserts. Everything was amazing. It was a new burst of flavor, texture and temperature with every dish we ate. The service is great, each course of the dinner was checked on by our waitress and the waters were always full. I will say that this restaurant can certainly step up the furniture in terms of the chairs and tables, and it will be the finishing touch it needs. The chairs felt slightly flimsy and too laid back for something that I’d like to lounge in. The table itself can use some real candles instead of the fake ones. I appreciate the technology with mobile payments through the wait staffs mobile devices, but I felt uncomfortable touching the screen multiple times to pay for my meal. Overall, great experience that can be enhanced through minor touches.

Oh Ilili, I have nothing but compliments for this restaurant. The ambience is simultaneously homey yet upscale (God bless the interior designers and decorators). You’re definitely going to feel welcomed as the guests and staff represent various ethnicities and shades of melanin. And no matter the occasion (family dinner, date, special occasion, or casual meal), you’ll feel like you’re in the right place.

The food is AMAZING! Dinning here was my first Lebanese cuisine experience and there isn’t another Lebanese restaurant I want to try because the menu here is delicious. The mixed grill platter with lamb, chicken, beef, potatoes, and veggies, is absolutely delicious and I order it every time. My lovely friend took me here for my birthday and Valentine’s Day, both experiences were more than worthwhile. The seasonal drinks are also very good and you definitely get the bang for your buck!

What makes the overall experience so outstanding, is the staff! They make eye contact with you, smile, and make sure your needs are met in a timely manner. The restrooms are always clean. Lastly, making a reservation here is easy but not necessary (I recommend making a reservation though because it does get busy). Enjoy!

The venue is spacious and gorgeous. We ordered hummus dip, lamb shawarma and lamb sausage. Everything was made to perfection, super juicy and delicious. Highly recommend coming if you want some affordable upper class dishes.

I came across this place while browsing where to dine Middle Eastern food in midtown west! The ambiance was great, the servers were courteous, the place was busy but everything was flowing smoothly and the food came faster than we expected! The food was delicious and loved every moment of it!!

Very fresh food, high quality vegetables and pickles and large amount. Don’t waste too time being served. 10% tip option and you order at a kiosk. We need more of this.

Ordered a wrap sandwich and it was fine but nothing special. I was excited that they had lavash bread but it turned out to just be a tortilla. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. Service was great and staff was really nice and friendly. 2.5 stars rounded up to 3.

We have to talk about their sauces because no one’s really mentioned it yet which I feel is a cardinal sin because their Shattah sauce is a tiny little container of PERFECTION.

Seriously they need to find a distributor and bottle it up, because I’d be first in line at the grocery store. Or even just sell bottles of it. It’s so good there are times I’ve gotten food elsewhere but will do an entire order of just that darn sauce because nothing else compares. Buffalo who? Sriracha where? A1 what?? I’m officially ruined for life because I don’t know how my tastebuds will survive in the future without it. Beware it’s spicy (I have high spice tolerance so to me it’s just a slight kick). TMG & Taheni Sauces are also mouthwateringly delicious. But garlic sauce I wasn’t a fan of.

Zaatar fries are fantastic, though their shawarma fries are my go-to. Deliciously crispy and more filling since it’s topped with chicken and tons of that delicious TMG sauce.

For the wraps, I’ve had better in my life, but these are quite solid. Probably second best I’ve had in the neighborhood (best by a mile is Kotti Berliner Döner Kebab, and is so good you might actually cry - so very hard to beat). Chicken option is good, though I do find it doesn’t have much seasoning on its own and is definitely helped by sauces. Gyro option is great, though you can tell its not high quality meat - kinda has that common mystery meat texture. Great flavor though! Steak…not so no good - meat was pretty unseasoned and relied heavily on the sauces & fillings for flavor. Not worth it given the higher cost. I’d go for gyro if you want beef. Same applies to the platters.

Their TMG Chicken sandwich is nice but I kinda wish it had an option for a regular bun, as the cheese pita is a cool idea but a bit too heart attack inducing. Same with the Halloumi fries - would be nice to have a basic grilled option with no breading & deep frying.

5 stars for food, 3 stars for delivery/takeout as they deliver fast but are very unresponsive. Have called on different occasions and no one’s ever picked up. Have also added order notes (like asking the halloumi cheese not be fried) that go ignored. Hopefully that improves.

Food tastes great, and portions are big with a decent price. Service was good too, person at the cashier was very polite and helpful. Only thing they need to work on is appearance, the place looks a bit neglected, eg. Dusty windows, some litter here and there on the floor, dried looking plants, etc. It's not nasty, just unattended in that regard. Would still come back for the food.

In the past I would have given this place five stars. The food is usually quite good so this review is based on current visit. The kiosk is never easy and I kept getting kicked back to the beginning so I paid cash.

I ordered the lentil soup which they did not have for awhile. The soup had tremendous flavor which to me was too oily and salty with good lemon flavor. To me adding all these ingredients should help bring out and add to the flavor of the lentils. It seemed the oil, salt and lemon over powered the taste of the lentils.

To be fair it is only one thing on the menu and as I said usually their food is very good. Given I have had such good experiences here I always expect a delicious meal. To me a good place has consistency.

I look forward to coming back and will order other items I know will be delicious!

ISTANBLUE KEBAB HOUSE

Noticed this new place in the neighborhood and had to try it. We ordered 2 lamb shish kebab sandwiches as a baseline test. One was on pita and the other was on Turkish pita. They were both delicious but I recommend trying the Turkish pita. The woman on the phone who took our order and the guy who rang us up were both very nice. We will definitely be returning to try some more items off of the menu.

Me and my little child came in to take out and the guy who calls himself manager was there. I asked his help cuz there so many kind of meat. He showed me and instead to take my order at the cash register he left me in front of the counter. He just switched to a couple who walked in. After couple 2 officers and the lady approached. And I was still standing there until a young lady asked what I want. I placed an order with her. And I ended  up leaving last. He served every person who walked after me and then I was the last who left that place without food. They got my order wrong! He started apologizing. He stated that girl was new and she made a mistake. I understand you could tell she was a new. But why didn’t he finish taking my order he just left me there standing. I simply told him and he knows that I am the one of the first customer who is with them from the beginning. And last time when we were dining there they just dimly forgot the dish we order and when I wanted to pay it was in the check. And I was still nice to them and I said it’s fine we will come back to have whatever was missing. I figured that man who calls himself manager doesn’t know how to run business and when owner is not there everything goes wrong 😑. I didn’t take my food cuz it wasn’t what I ordered. I won’t go back!

Great addition to the area. We got takeout dinner and everything was fresh and delicious, properly seasoned too. The restaurant has an area to sit down, which is nice. Staff were very friendly. Will come back again.

I had it once by chance. Every time I call there's an issue. I can't understand why they say they open at 11am, when I saw the workers coming in at 11am. I called at 11:15am, giving them a chance to settle in, I placed a simple order and told it would take 40 min to have my order ready. I was told they had nothing ready nor prepared and had just come in. So why not say you open at 12pm? Or have the employees come in earlier to set up. I could see them sweeping and cleaning, shouldn't this be done at night? I think the owner is cheap with the employees and doesn't want to pay for more hours, hence the non ethnic (to India) employees.

Favorite spot. Recently the hours changed and I have no way to visit after work for my usual date night, but this is the best food I’ve ever had. I only have sundays off, and they’re closed then. The owners are so kind and treat you like family if they know your face, I’ve been going here for years now. My only wish is they were open later like they used to be. Affordable and impressive always.

I absolutely love this restaurant. One of the few authentic delicious Indian spots in long island, and they’ll adjust the spicy level to your taste. The owners are so kind and are from the neighborhood. If you’re looking for amazing authentic flavorful Indian food I always recommend this location. I saw some of the negative reviews on bottom and am truly shocked I order from them once a week, and haven’t had one bad dish yet.

As always the food is delicious and full of flavors and the spices are very delicious. I wish they can have different sauce base for the various plates. Still, absolutely delicious

Great go-to in the area to hang. Aside from some awkward table and chair placements, it's a great bar and restaurant and awesome for hookah enjoyment. Meatballs are fantastic and the octopus salad is delicious. Presentation is awesome. Would go again asap!

Very rustic place. Also a hookah lounge. Interesting menu. Good appetizers, try meatballs and hummus. Good avocado toast. Greek salad was chopped in really large pieces, like half of tomato large. Good ingredients just wrong cooking, I also added chicken for $8 and it was completely dry. Good service and friendly staff. Hookah looked good, but we didn't try it.

The food was delicious as always. Happy hour was great. Quick service by the waitress and waiters. Always a pleasure to go back to pergola and get good service. 1 thing is the hookah charcoal doesn't get changed quick enough but I'm not going to knock off a star for something so small like that. Hope they fix it next time.

Ali Baba restaurant and terrace has been my go to place for years for amazing service coupled with great food and atmosphere. My wife and I also celebrated our wedding anniversary here. It was an amazing evening and the staff took great care of us.

We arrived at this place for dinner. my friend recommended this restaurant.  Well, it was very successful. the crew were so friendly and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We had a great time and we will definitely return to this restaurant. Recommended.

It was a great atmosphere for sit down with a group of 2-4 it looks like there is seating in the back for larger groups. The food was great. I had the lunch prixe with the 3 Veg Mezzo starters and the falafel wrap which was good. I would def go there again.

NAYA Mezze & Grill is a great addition to New York scant yet growing Mediterranean options! We walked in and the chef greeted us and was very sweet, as was the server who helped us all night. Amazing food, can't beat the price or service! Highly recommended if you're in the area and craving great Mediterranean food!

Love this place so much!! I like to have Sunday breakfast here. I always get the halloumi sandwich with a cold brew. It's so delicious and I'm sure everything else on the menu is too. The servers are very attentive and nice.

Great food and great service, but only one of three restaurant workers was wearing a mask. The cook was wearing a mask, but the guy assembling salads and the host handling the takeout bags were not. Y'all need to wear masks at all times if you're working around food and interacting with customers picking up orders. This is NOT just for the customers, y'all can get infected too! Protect yourselves, protect your establishment, protect your customers, and help us end this pandemic.

i made an order for pickup yesterday via caviar and they lost my order so i had to wait an additional 20 minutes even though the app said the food was ready. the cook bagged my food with no mask on, the cashier handed me the food with no mask on, and they didn’t hold the peppers on the salad like i asked them too (quite nicely) because peppers make me sick. i wouldn’t be so bothered if they even acknowledged they made a mistake or gave me a discount or a free drink or something. it was disappointing because their food is so good, but i couldn’t even eat some of it because of the peppers and the lack of masks (the pita was placed in a an open bag and the last thing the cook grabbed and put at the top of the order in a bigger bag. two people handled the bag like that maskless.)

I got their chicken kabob on post mate which I forgot to take a picture of. The food came in a paper box that is safe for the environment and it was clipped. I was happy with the food but the sauce I chose I wasn't crazy about. Will definitely got their food again and choose a different sauce.

Awesome little gem of a café that serves really decent food. Seriously, if you're in Brooklyn, try it out for brunch. Great Yemeni tea and the food is delicious.

I had the chance to travel from Long Island to try this restaurant based on reviews. First of all the waiter are constantly on your table to ask you as if we didn't get enough time to enjoy our time or meal. They wanted us to leave asap, asked us to change the table twice. We ordered appetizer and drinks and this guy came and asked five times if we ordered something or not. There no sanitizers around, and tables or chairs were not disinfected properly. Food was not up to the quality, bland and fries were not done properly. I tried Chicken Ceaser Salad Wrap and I had food poisoning the next morning.

I have been going to Opera for years now. Food is always delicious and well done, the staff is very attentive and responds to concerns or request for anything. The hostesses are also helpful and very patient. My families favorite place to go! :)

Two stars today was not happy. I got a Chicken Shawarma on Pita for lunch so I got there at 12.15 pm you would think the chicken would fresh and just right to eat. Not today 20% of my chicken was dry and hard like it was from yesterday and mix in with days meat not cool Mr server.  I'm a regular and used you guys for lunch meeting at the office. Next time I will call you out and bring back the food.  I know you can do better. By the way I left a 30% tip.

Have been here a few times and the food has been on point every time!  Good and tasty meat, fresh vegetables.  Really like the Greek Salad.  Authentic Middle Eastern food.  They include a bite-sized piece of baklava  when you order a lunch platter.  There is some space to sit in the restaurant but not close to 12pm and not before 1:30pm-2pm.  You can probably get seating but might have to wait a while.  The line can also get pretty long during lunch time.  Many find it is worth the wait because of the quality of the food and then the excellent service.

Absolutely delicious and fresh Mediterranean food. Staff is super friendly and the place is clean. Prices are really good during lunchtime and service is also really quick. I really recommend it, it’s filling and delicious!

Was a great experience and highly recommended to everyone who likes Mediterranean food. Chicken Adana and Shawarma were really good. I got a free Baklava after my meal which was fantastic! Nice  environment and good service.

Very good Mediterranean food in Manhattan. I was visiting Mexican Embassy and stumbled upon this place. Very nice Falafel and Baklava. Also prices are unbelievably affordable!

Great place. I reserved a seating for two but didn’t need to since i went during the weekday.
Food was great and great portions.

This place is my number one restaurant.  Of all restaurants I know I favor it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this restaurant. everytime  I I need a good supper, this restaurant comes straightaway to my mind. good and many types of  food and a rich menu.generous staff members, and great mood. And very important, the cost is reasonable. I suggest this restaurant with no hesitation.

Amazing food and great service. We were visiting NY from Calgary, Canada. I read reviews of this place online and decided to go for lunch. It was worth the walk. The servers were attentive and courteous. Would definitely recommend to friends visiting NYC.

You can find a great variety of mouth watering dishes in Turkish cuisine, which is mostly the heritage of Ottoman cuisine. It is the mixture and refinement of Central Asian, Middle Eastern and Balkan cuisines. Therefore it is impossible to fit Turkish cuisine into a short list.

This is one of my go to restaurants for delivery as well as for out of town guests who only know Turkish food as Gyros. Aba is one of the oldest Turkish restaurants in the hood, and I’m writing this because I hope they continue to get customers and stay open. They are wonderful and aside from having delicious food have never screwed up my takeout order, and were taking over a decade of living in the neighborhood. While everything is delicious, my fav is: Lamb Adano, meatballs, Sheppard salad, the egg plant app, and the liver. Yup, that’s right liver. It’s really some of the very best liver in the city and that’s despite the fact I usually do not like liver. If anyone tells me they like liver, I take them here. Def give them a try and continue to support them. Currently they have outdoor seating. Also, this establishment is BYOB. They are super nice about it as well.

Mamoun's is legendary!!! Been in the Village for as long as I can remember, always tasty, always cheap, always good. With COVID going on you basically order then wait outside for them to call you. I'm so happy to see they are surviving somehow and I'm happy to continue giving them my business, even though it's now $4.50 for a falafel. I got spoiled on years of $3 falafel, but the times they are a changing.

Been going to the original for years! Been to all of their newer locations. Mamoun's was the first Middle Eastern restaurant in the US. How can you give them less than 5 stars?
 What is unique about the other locations is that the food tastes the same! 
Most places with other location only have one that tastes good and the others suck. Mamoun's is unique in that way! 
The pictures are of the Hoboken and New Brunswick locations in Jersey which we have gone to on the way home from the shore.

I have been coming to this place for over 40 years. I can remember back in my NYU this was the spot for falafel in the village. That has not changed. If you are in the mood for one of the best falafel you will ever have drop by  Mamoun's. It is well worth the trip.

We ordered the beef and chicken shawerma skewers (Gyros). They were the best😍
The beef and the chicken were juicy and the provided sauces were perfect

I am giving them 4 stars because they don’t allow reservations even when u pass by the restaurant and ask them personally to reserve. You have to wait may be 30 minutes or more for an empty table

The service is great!  Drinks and chips/salsa are always served timely, the employees are friendly and really do rush to get to all of their  tables served  as quickly as possible.
Food is fresh and delicious and very consistent.  I really love their chips and salsa too.  The Sunday brunch is an AMAZING and a great value.
So glad to have a good local place to support!

My experience was some time ago but the ambiance was mellow, so serene. Food was extremely delicious and delightful with the many condiments they provided. Elegant, clean and neat. The impression stuck! Definitely going back.

Amazing middle eastern food with the perfect ( for me )amount of spice. Delicious halloumi salad, fries, hummus and falafel pizza.

Fair food, proud unaccommodating service. Did not allow 5 min presentation on a laptop for our business meeting while we waited for the order. We offered to sit on a nearby bench away from other customers. This was not acceptable either as it would be confused with co-working. Have been coming and welcoming friends here for years, so the food is good. Some years ago following a concussion I asked if they could lower or put on some less upbeat music as it triggered my head, which they would not.

Istanbul Kebab House

Clean and well-kept place. Went there late after 10 p.m. and they were still open. Ordered the sampler of four vegetarian cold appetizers. Hummus was a bit salty but nice otherwise. Different than Jordanian hummus that I am used to.

I've tried various beef, chicken and fish dishes and all are great.  They also have yummy rice and soup.   It can get busy so it's helpful to call your order ahead.  They also have marinated kabob that you can take home and BBQ too.  There's a few parking spots in the back and I can usually find one.

Really good place. Very generous portions and amazing prices. Definitely loved it and will be returning when I can.

I eat in this great spot many times a year! This is my favorite restaurant to dine.  I go there frequently. The cooking is very good, the staff members are helpful and the rates are affordable. I like being in this place over a good supper.

I love turkish food and hence decided to go to this place...Its just not worst turkish food, its the worst food ever...undercooked chicken, stale gyro/doner, squishy baklava, bland hummus...and they call themselves #1 Istanbul kebab house...

Adel's Famous Halal Food

This guys are the best. Way better then halal guys. The rice is excellent and well seasoned. And the meat is also phenomenally good. If you like halal guys give these place a try you won’t be disappointed.

I travel all the way from Suffolk County, Long Island weekly just for a lamb Gyro. Best Gyro ever hands down!!!! All of their food is amazing but there’s definitely something special about that Gyro!!🥰❤️

I love the falafel. They have increased the price to 7$ but it's worth the price. The falafel is spicy and delicious, having the perfect crunch and it's freshly made too. It's a good cart when there's a line even at 10 pm.

They make the world best chicken over rice plates and gyros. I visit from Austin and always eat atleast once or twice here. Visiting this place here for almost 10 years, cant get this taste anywhere else.
