Vietnamese street-food specialist known for its 'Pho' noodle dishes

Good place to grab a bowl of Vietnamese noodles. The soup is not overly salty and the bun sauce more sour than fishy. Service is friendly and prompt.

UPDATE: I have decided to downgrade my rating from 2 to 1 based on some lies provided by the business owner in their response to my review. I never requested the affogato with espresso or with condensed milk as they said "as mentioned before." They served the affogato as I described it. Also, it was not condensed milk ice cream as they mentioned in their response, it was vanilla and very poor quality (almost tasteless). This response from them leads me to believe they're throwing a curve ball on me which is even worse. Learn to provide an excellent service and learn from your mistakes, do not blame it on customers or the flu.

Don't recommend it, don't go through the same as me. Sadly, this visit was supposed to be a great experience but resulted in a bad one due to the poor service and the pedantic person with red hat (a chef maybe) that handled the bill in this restaurant. The service does not reflect Vietnamese culture at all. I have been to other restaurants and service is truly amazing. Too expensive for the quality of food, drinks, desserts, and service. Here are the details: as we entered the place my wife and I were not attended, we walked to the counter and finally were greeted. The place was not busy so we chose the table. The girl that served us was polite and attentive. We ordered pork & lemongrass meatballs, one spicy phò house, and one crab noodle soup. Plus two beers. We noticed a bad smell across the restaurant which came from the kitchen through the food elevator located inside a pillar next to the counter. We thought the food was going to be awful but it was very good. We liked all the dishes. We were left unattended for long between the starter and the mains, and the mains and the desserts. Still, we wanted to give it a try for desserts. We ordereded one Vietnamese affogato, you can see in the last picture that we were served two glasses. One had a spoon of vanilla ice cream, the other had "Vietnamese coffee." The presentation was terrible, and the coffee was not true Vietnamese coffee (no condensed milk, no espresso strength, and was cold). Vanilla ice cream was horrible, a Ben & Jerry's tastes better than this one. When the bill came, the person asked if everything was ok, I said my impression of affogato was different due to the coffee, I expected an espresso. He literally replied: "This is a Vietnamese restaurant. We only served Vietnamese coffee." I said I understood that it was a Vietnamese restaurant, did not want to start a useless conversation on Vietnamese coffee. I left feeling horrible, my wife too. We won't go back again, not even if the food is free.

Loved the spicy chicken curry & also loved the hospitality. Vishv patel was really lovely. Also the Vietnamese ambience was amazing, and the iced condensed milk coffee 💕✨

One of the greatest places of asian food in London where price and quality ratio matches up. Always excited to sit here for a quick lunch.

This place is absolutely fantastic.. The management and her team on duty at the time was second to none. The food was impeccable and decent price the vibe here is brilliant with an open kitchen and staff allowed to play their own music and seem to have a good hold on things and hard working which is perfect.

I don't even know where to start. I went to this restaurant (if you could even call it that) yesterday with a friend of mine. We ordered the tacos and nachos. To start off the tacos were cold, and wet. How were they wet? God bloody knows, the chicken inside was burnt and cold and was overall inedible. Moving on to the nachos which, as you can tell, were terrible. At first they placed 15 nachos inside the box? I asked the staff to put in more because i wasn't paying 8 quid of 20 nachos!! The cheese wasn't even melted on and all of the topping were cold. The overall eating experience was a 1/10, keeping in mind these two items racked up to a whooping 18 quid! The service was also appalling, the guy making our food gave us so much attitude when my friend and I were being very polite and friendly. You could not pay me to go back!!!

We've been going there twice a month (at least) for the last 6 months. All ingredients are fresh and tasty, the beef and chicken are cooked to perfection, the guacamole is full of flavours and the sauce in the salad is delicious. And the staff is delightful, we've now become regulars, they always greet us with a hello and a smile, we love this place!

10/10 as always, came back after a long while and I was so happy everything was still the same: delicious food and extremely lovely people working there!!! the restaurant was also looking better than ever, loved the new details (specially upstairs), very cosy!!

I recall the first time eating from this restaurant very clearly. I was at work and celebrating a milestone that we have reached within the company. The boss ordered a bunch of burritos for the employees, around 20, and everybody loved it. Even the Latin American employee said that this was amazing. Fast forward 3 years when I happened to be driving past it, surprised that it was still open considering the recent two years. It tasted just as good as it did back then, even still surprising me to this day. I highly recommend that you guys go to this restaurant and try out the burritos. I wouldn't recommend eating in as it is a very small shop, however, if you were to order this, it's worth every penny. If the owners are reading this. I'm the IKEA guy. 🙃

Loved it!!! I went with my cousin for lunch. We ordered Vegan Singapore laksa and blackened monks noodles.
Worth every penny, taste was bang on, decent portions and cocktails were really good too. Great experience - highly recommend!

Trust me you won’t get disappointed, full of  flavour and test with excellence of the presentation combined will made your day. Plus the ambience was perfect. Our servers were really polite and helpful. I will definetley come back again

We had a great experience at Banana Tree Islington. The food was delicious, it tasted fresh and so well presented. My favourite was the Laksa soup for starter. There are so many vegan options and variety of vegan alternatives (vegan pieces, tofu and another one I don't remember).  Prices are OK, I would expect a little less. Also 2 for 1 cocktails.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. It was our first time there and their food suggestions were excellent. The ramen were awesome! Hit the spot on a January cold night.

First time at this branch, had the other branch a few times. Taste is consistent and very authentic. Ample seating space and quite comfortable for small groups. Great service and friendly waiter. Personally love the spicy yuzu ramen.

Ramen is one of my most favourite food so I love to explore the ramen restaurant in London!Here it has tasty Japanese ramen! The soup taste strong but not very salty. Recommend to add a egg into the soup!

The vegan ramen was good with natural flavors. It didn’t have many veggies except asparagus and mushroom, so didn’t feel as substantial as other items on their menu despite being in the same price range. Have had better and more vegetarian options in other ramen shops.

The spicy yuzu ramen is very delicious, just the right amount of spice, savoury and citrus.🍜 The meat itself is a little dry at times need to be slow cooked much longer. The broth on the other hand is full of flavour.

An intimate restaurant setting with the chefs just a stone throw away. Nice service and we visit regularly when in need of a ramen fix in London.  🇯🇵

I've been ordering from this place for a while. The donor box with fries tastes delicious. Always a satisfying lunch meal that is very well priced. The food always comes on time, warm and with all the condiments required to enjoy the meal. I would highly recommend this place.

Usually the food is great BUT today I ordered at 10:50 in the morning and look at the picture!!

The chicken is dry and burnt and not even half warm while it should be tender and hot. I feel like I was served left over food.

Very inconsistent quality and I would not recommend this place for out of peak hours order.

We met with friends at this spot for a meeting. This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend.  Well, we were not disappointed. The staff members welcomed us with a smile and we felt very good. The meal was fresh and delicious. We enjoyed every moment and we will visit this place again. Warmly recommended.

All meat on our menu is Halal. Please ask our staff to see the Halal certificate if you have any doubts.

Gordon Ramsay Street Burger - Islington

My boyfriend and I dropped by Street Burger after seeing photos on social media, and we weren’t disappointed.

We came for the burgers (of course) and they were gorgeous! We also had the i onion rings which appeared a tad unconventional, but they were delicious too.

The staff and service was also fantastic.

I’ve docked a star based solely on the prices. Fresh burgers are not few and far between, and the portions and quality are on par with a lot of other restaurants.

The food was brilliant don’t get me wrong, not quite as good as I would expect for a restaurant with Gordon Ramsay’s name on but still good. The decor was interesting, I get that the vibe is a “street” style but it seemed untidy in parts and almost dirty. Having said this the staff were wonderful and in addition to the good food we still had a good experience, I would visit again but we are hardly raving to go back. Compared to many other places it is very good but with the expectations that come with a business like this I was slightly disappointed.

After eating Ramsay's steak at his Chelsea location, I expected the burger to be an equally ecstatic experience. Unfortunately, it was just average, a burger like many many others in London. The price was reasonable and the staff was very nice and attentive.

This has to be the best burger place in Islington!!! Food is fabulous everything cooked to a high standard juicy burgers met with quality ingredients! As for the chef always making sure everything is spot on and all requests never an issue I personally can’t eat egg yolk and usually have a problem when I ask for egg white only? In this case it was no issue and executed to perfection! Thank you so much for the fab food and also the surprise old skool desert compliments of the chef such a nice gesture and touch! Honestly guys check it out you won’t be disappointed!!

Authentic street style interior, tasty burgers and very polite staff. Unfortunately, paying 22£ for a regular burger, fries and small can of a beer is a bit too much. I am sure they could work out better menu deals as well as the prices👍

Our halal options include the JFC chicken burger, our Not So Simple vegan burger as well as our vegetarian Butternut Bhaji burger.

The portion size is great, staff are friendly and  the taste is perfect! 
In general it’s much better than chipotle or Taco Bell !

Great food if your looking to eat cleanly. Decent selection of beers and very cozy inside. I just think for the prices around the area it's a bit on the pricer side but not too pricey.

I was very impressed by this place. The large burrito is massive and generously filled with nice toppings. The staff are friendly and genuine and the food is tasty and reasonably priced

A few days ago, I've been there for burrito, I've been served by really lovely employee, Michael? 
He explain me everything, customer service was one of the best.
The food was delicious, I had to invite my family for lunch.
But what I saw today 21.01, a tall, bearded boy in a black shirt shouting at colleagues across the restaurant, swear words. After this experience, I will never come to this restaurant again!

Loved it.. great food & excellent customer service.. modified their dish to my specifications and added more ingredients than stated in their menu & all with a smile..
