One of the worst restaurant experiences I have ever had in London, even 1 star is too much for them!!

Myself and a friend ordered the Cheetos mac n cheese, beef burger and fries. They only brought the mac n cheese (which was tasteless - the only flavour was from the Cheetos). About half an hour later still no sign of the rest of our order. Different waiters/waitresses kept coming and asking us if anything was missing! Then when we told them what was missing  they said they would go and check.

The supposed ‘assistant manager’ who also came over several times was extremely unprofessional, she was telling us about her personal life at home, sorry but keep that to yourself! When we asked her about the burger she told us it was sitting in the kitchen and was probably cold by now so would ask them to make another one! She also apologised for the delay and said this was due to the soft opening and that the waiters were inexperienced Indians which she had to deal with on a daily basis! We could not believe such racial language from a member of staff about their colleagues, she should be ashamed of herself!

Another half an hour later still no sign of any burger but miraculously the next table got their burger and they sat down after us! By this time we were fed up and told the waiter to forget the rest of the order and that we were leaving.

Having heard about our discontent, the ‘manager’ rushed over and was very apologetic and said we were welcome to come back whenever we wanted, to try the Matilda cake on the house (which by the way we were told was sold out on the day but saw about 5 plates being carried out to different tables, one of which we were told was the family of the restaurant owner! So you pick and choose which customers can order things on the menu, unbelievable!). The manager told us just to message her beforehand to get our table ready well surprise surprise, we messaged her yesterday morning (a couple of weeks after our first visit) and received absolutely no response!

If you think this level of service is acceptable then you really do not know anything about hospitality! I do not usually leave such bad reviews but I had to share my experience with others as you do not deserve one penny. How Jumeirah can have such a restaurant as part of their hotel is beyond me.

Appalling service. Sold out of Matilda Cake yet bloggers were there claiming plenty of free food including many items which were told as sold out.

Food is extremely overpriced for what is offered. Definitely not comparable to the Parkers in Dubai!

First and last time we will try this restaurant. We came only for dessert and coffee. First of all there are no pleny of choices. The karak was not hot enough. There was no professionalism in serving the dessert. The spoons are very big for the dessert.

Try the wagyu sandwich and the lemon chicken. Exceptional food and service. Love the location as well. Matilda cake for chocolate lovers is a must!

Came all the way from Manchester to try Matilda cake was sold out and very disappointed with customer service. Parkers Dubai better.

Tortilla and burrito joint that charges extra for guacamole!

Both my tacos and burrito were served atrociously cold, as if they were straight out from the fridge. Like if I am paying 8 quid a meal here for a supposedly-hot dish served cold, I may as well go to Sainsbury’s for a chicken sandwich meal deal.

Ingredients were not even properly assembled and it was a mess eating that.

I used to have such decent, comfort food from other tortilla branches, but this one is an absolute disappointment- won’t ever visit this branch again.

I ordered a Naked Burrito and a Burrito, with a side of Chocolate Filled Churros, and the food was good. Although the rice was a bit raw, the churros were not fresh enough. I would recommend this restaurant for a quick bite of Mexican Cuisine.

Unfortunately the Chicken in the burrito was full of fat, it was way better before. Felt like chewing  a GUM.
The staff needs to smile a bit that would be nice instead of feeling like they are trying to get rid of customers. Apart from the Asian young man at the till was great ✌️

The bin was also too full, takes seconds to change the bag. Wasn’t even busy.

Enjoyed some food here today. Got slightly lost trying to find it and then it became obvious with the massive sign 😂 food was hot made to order like at subway, polite staff, clean tables and over all nice experience.

HUGE burrito. Lots of different options. Really big and delicious meal for a great price.

Marvellous! It is so wonderful to have a lovely restaurant to go to that serves Halal meat AND has first class service! Olivia is truly wonderful! Our first visit was for a birthday celebration and we have been making it a tradition to go back for all occasions! We have been there for lunch and even enjoyed Christmas Day breakfast there which was delicious! The eggs florentine were perfect!!
Olivia is so delightful and warm! She really makes our visits to the restaurant enjoyable and she has a lovely sense of humour 😁
So glad The Carlton Jumeirah has re opened and the hotel itself looks really nice. The ambience in the restaurant is classy and the quality of the service is truly first class!! Thank you to all the staff and especially Olivia who adds more cheer to our visits ☺️

One of the best contemporary Italians I've been to so far in London. Incredible food, fantastic service and a nice setting. Prices match the quality £££. Solange and Alex and the rest of the team. were fantastic. Don't miss out on the Calamari (best I've ever had) and the insanely tasty French toast for dessert. Well done Jumeirah!

We had an amazing date night. The food was excellent and of the highest quality. We also had some cocktails at the bar. The ambience is warm and elegant, and the service is very attentive and thoughtful.
Would love to come back and visit soon.

Great contemporary Italian place with excellent food. House bread basket, Parmigiana di Melanzane, Vitello Milanese and Chianti of course are fantastic. Staff is super friendly so despite of the upscale look of the place experience is cozy and casual

We came for breakfast, the creme brûlée french toast is amazing. Service is great, however its very pricey for just breakfast with that limited options.

My sister warned me, "they are very indulgent". While I didn't have a chance to try the decadent Jubilee bun, the cheesecake and mixed berries variant won me over. The pastry is crispy and gives the whole experience a good crunch. The creamy filling is refreshing and heavenly. For my liking it lacks fresh berries in addition to the jam. Eating this bun with one hand can be a challenge as the filling is 3:1 pastry. It's a lot! Definitely worth a try and savouries next.

These are the best buns I’ve EVER had! The cream is SUPER fresh and the pastry was baked to perfection. Don’t let the look of them fool you. The mince pie bun was absolutely divine but since it’s seasonal, the runner up was definitely the cream and berries. Absolutely beautiful buns to treat yourself with or to share. Needs more stars!

Lovely buns. No pun intended. They are tasty y'all. Good service from the bun lady. They don't get 5 stars because they are a bit pricey. But then again I'm Mr Greedy, so I asked whether they do any deals. They don't advertise these on the window for whatever reason; but they do 6 for £18 on different varieties. You can have a more expensive variety for £21 for 6.  I attach some pics. Well worth tasting.

A quick stop after exiting the Sloane Square Station, just to the left, it does what most other bakeries should do: small menu but well done, tiny space, take-away only, no fancy, waste-of-money, lavish marketing, not putting their products' looks before their quality - a basic recipe for success that many London businesses seem to have forgotten.
...and one of the few spots where the cinnamon bun is not as dry as sand! The vanilla bun was an excellent add as well!

The only two buns flavours on our permanent menu that aren’t vegetarian are our ham and cheese bun and our tiramisu bun (pork gelatine). We are currently trying to switch over to fish gelatine but it’s proving harder than we expected. None of the permanent flavours contain alcohol. Occasionally, weekend specials will contain one or both of these ingredients, in which case we will be sure to mention this on the instagram announcement.

The food was exceptional! I was delighted to come across Madhu's 2 Go in Harvey Nichols. Can't wait to go back soon, the chilli chicken wrap was amazing. Staff were also super attentive.

Lovely food. The restaurant was empty except for our table, so not much of an atmosphere. Still worth visiting.

Small Art Deco room, with excellent food and service.

This is in my top 3 list of favourite restaurants; and with so many good options in London; this is a bit achievement; this is one of those restaurants you will remember.

The service was just brilliant and our waitress was lovely; I which I had asked for her name but she is from Ecuador and was friendly, professional and lovely - a pleasure to talk to her.

The food was excellent; we had 5 different dishes and each of them was excellent; I can't decide which one I preferred the most but they're all delicious.

It is also very central so easy to get to; the only thing I wasn't very keen on was the decoration as it feel a bit clinical; however, this is just matter of time as my partner completely loved it.

Select dishes are halal. Pork and alcohol present.

Having been to Nusret in dubai and turkey, it’s only right for me to visit the London branch. I’ve always been a fan of his burgers when I had them in dubai and the only reason I’ll only come to Nusret is for burgers. They are probably the best high end burger in London.

I am only comparing this burger with the best two high end burger I rate highly, one from cut45 and other one from Gordon Ramsey burger bar. It’s fair to say Nusret overtakes the both.

With the controversial steaks and prices. So if your ordering gold steaks expect to pay them ridiculous prices. My one was £85 which was tender and buttery. All the cuts are Wagyu, also some of these massive steaks with big price tags are for sharing.

What I don’t like at Nusret. The flower onion is tasteless. I only had this previously at Stax diner and it banged. However this was overly oily and bland. Also the short ribs when I had them in dubai, was soft however bland and super bland lol with regards to the tacos I had here, it was actually enjoyable, probably because the guacamole and other condiments kinda helped out, but nothing really mind blowing.

The burger is easily the best burger you’ll have. A very pricey burger however it’s just a super super super juicy burger. So juicy the juices never stop. The meat is soft and buttery.

The baklava personally for me is decent. Didn’t have the wow factor like the ones in turkey and dubai. Tasted like the ordinary ones we all have in any Turkish places.

All in all I love his burgers. My total came £250 which is standard central London high end spots. It’s an occasional spot I guess. I know many wouldn’t agree or don’t like the Nusret brand itself. But each to their own

The most amazing gastronomic experience in my life! The best choice for meat lovers. Lovely staff, very polite and professionals but also fun. Great atmosphere. A little bit expensive but totally worth it!!

Wonderful immersive experience rather than restaurant visit. Fantastic service, divine food, amazing cocktails and wine selection. You know it’s going to be pricey but it’s worth every penny.
The service so professional, happy, attentive with attention to details. Really enjoyed delicious steak filled with flavours. Will def be back! We went for a drink one Sunday and decided to book for dinner couple of days later. Had most amazing time! Really recommend to visit.

Expensive but a good place to be-

Food quality was high. The staff was very helpful. We were 9 adults and 8 children on a Friday night and still, the team did a marvelous job. Food-wise, Asado was the best. Don't forget the Baklava. Overall a very good experience.

Was very apprehensive about eating here but absolutely loved it. Did not go for the steaks (the cheapest was £85 and I just couldn’t justify it!) but we did get burgers and a range of sides. The burger was delicious- one of the best I’ve had in London. The truffle Parmesan fries were really good but could have been cooked better and more flavourful. They are missing out on having a range of sauces to eat with your food (we ended up ordering more of the sauce that comes with the onion flower to eat with our burgers). For sides we had the onion flower (everyone loved this), mushrooms (very good) & mashed potato (a little basic). I also ordered a virgin mocktail but it just tasted like juice so probably wouldn’t order again. I did not pay so not sure what the bill was, but I would definitely come back just for the burger meal. Service was nice and very attentive too, and the whole atmosphere was lovely.

Food was excellent. Service impeccable. Music surprisingly good. General Ambience could be better I felt. But overall, really worth it.

Most of our meat is Halal. Three dishes contain non-Halal meat. Please ask a member of staff for details or call in advance to request Halal.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse

Sensational, Michelin-starred restaurant in the heart of London

Lunch menu was perfect. Love the watermelon salad, such a refreshing beginning. Main course was pork belly, which is perfectly cooked with a great sauce, that balance out the fat of the pork. Ambiance was nice. Such a pretty glass tea room with  naturally lighting. Will be back for more.

Went on a Friday night. The place was completely empty. Had the 3 course tasting menu. Food was very mediocre for a Michelin star restaurant - not very innovative and pretty bland. Had a snack in the Library Bar beforehand and would recommend this over Celeste. The service was very good in the hotel overall.

Honestly pretty disappointed. The execution of food is really good in that everything is perfectly cooked. The let down is that the food combinations are, at best, only good and at worst unenjoyable. 

Given the price and Michelin star I had expected a lot more. Avoid the snail starter which uses snails that seemed less than fresh and has little to no flavour otherwise.

Mains and desserts were better but don't warrant the price.

Great for a romantic night out here. Food was pretty good, and service - though the waiter did knock over one of the drinks, but he also organised a new drink. 

The food was pretty good, we had the 3 course, but wasn’t like wow good. Surprisingly, their in-house baked bread really hit the spot. 

Once you finish, head to the library bar, it’s a great fit out, with a really aristocrat feel to it.

Beautiful afternoon tea, perfect service and tasty treats, highly recommend

All our products in our main kitchen (different kitchen from Celeste restaurant) are Halal, therefore there is no worry of cross-contamination. In our Celeste kitchen, at the moment we do not have any Halal offering. This is because we have approached game season (which we have in our menu). When Celeste does offer Halal options, then there is no cross-contamination. All our non-Halal products are stored separate from the Halal ones.

Food: Some of the desserts at Elan are actually to die for. We ordered the Rasberry and White Choc Chip Brownie, Millionaire Shortbread, Mix Fruit Tart and Rasberry and Vanilla Mousse. It’s safe to say that the two rasberry desserts were our favourites, especially the Mousse, which had a hard rasberry flavoured shell on the outside and light and fluffy vanilla mousse inside. The fruits on the Tart were fresh and sweet, but we felt like the tough tart case did not compliment the softness of the fruit. The Shortbread was also very firm and hard to break into. The Tea-Mojito wasn’t great guys, although you might enjoy it if you’re a fan of Green Tea. We both loved the Red Velvet Latte! 😍

Cute place aesthetic wise but drinks were not so great.

Beautiful and mesmerising cafe. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Great spot for taking photos. We were really impressed with the service and how clean the place is. Menu items are reasonably priced. 

We were served by staff member Elisa who really went above and beyond customer service, providing us menu, being attentive and approaching us for order at the right time, allowing us to move to the romantic table and taking pictures for us. 

All the staff at the store were very patient and understanding allowing us to take pictures comfortably. It’s rare to find excellent service and good hospitality like this in London.

Drinks were delicious and recommend the host chocolate with marshmallow on top. Best experience for our Valentine’s Day!

It's a really beautiful place. I came here with some friends while visiting London. The staff working here was lovely, the lady even offered to take a picture of us. Really great experience, amazing food !

Beautiful location but the menu is not the same at all the locations so you may want to browse the menus to see which location has what you want. Absolutely gorgeous!

Abdel Wahab Lebanese Restaurant

Really great, classic Lebanese food. Service is friendly and efficient. Felt very welcomed and everything was delicious.

What a fantastic restaurant, we went as a large work group and had a great time, service was on point atmosphere was excellent the place is nicely decorated and looks classy. The food was delicious very flavour sum. Been to a few places in Belgravia but this has to be my favourite, great place well recommended.

Very good service and reasonably priced for the area. The grilled chicken is excellent and we highly recommend the mixed grill. We got a free mixed grill and a giant platter of fruits, both complementary. The starters are on the smaller side, so get a few. Perfect for groups and for sharing. As a bonus there is a cigar room.  Go for the food and stay for the service!

Food was amazing! Surprisingly not pricey as esp with the location. Loved the vibe and the food was also great. First time in a while having dessert anywhere and it was yum!

Let's start with the good: the food is nice. Not great, but good. Would I come here again? Not of my own volition. 

An acquaintance had organised a small lunch of five and reserved a table under his name. When I arrived and mentioned the reservation, three staff members got involved, but none of them was seemingly able to work out which of the tables to take me to. They settled me on my own at a table of five and left me there (without a menu). Because they had seemed so disorganised, I had another look around the room and spotted my acquaintance at another table, so I went over to join him. Something similar happened to the other two people joining us. It seems strange to me that they seemingly could not work out which table the reservation was associated with.

We could see from the other tables that they seemed to have ordered a set menu. This was not offered to us and when we inquired about it, the waitress said that they don't have one. She asked the manager to come over and he said that they do, in fact, have a set menu and proceeded to explain it to us. The menu was £50 per person and it seemed like the quantity would be too much, so we ordered à la carte.

Overall, the experience left a lot to be desired and the food did not make up for that. You can get great Libanese food on Edgeware Road for less money and with better service (although the setting will not be as nice).

Who doesn't love a lamb chop! There's beauts are from @kahanilondon. I really different spice flavour to them which makes them taste different. These were little cooked over for my preference, but till really nice.

Kahani Restaurant Sloane Square

We had the six course tasting menu and it was exceptional. The service was perfect. Our server was a very sweet and pleasant fellow who was attentive and helpful. The food was incredibly fascinating and tasty. I think the guinea fowl was our favourite, but each dish was really enjoyable. The wine menu was comprehensive. The cocktails we had were gorgeous and delightful. They even prepared a special little desert because my wife and I were celebrating a job offer. This was a perfect meal and blew me away. We will be coming back!

We went to Kahani without much expectations, other than knowing it has a good reputation. Given the piece tag, it's always a risk as to whether it will be worth it. But from the second we arrived outside, and were greeted at the door, we were pleased. Having a pram with us, we were directed next door to the hotel's lift. ALL the staff were not only attentive but responsive and efficient. The process for bottomless brunch and each course was clearly explained. The portions were very generous and the quality of the food of a high standard. Value for money, can't recommend Kahani enough. Was just such a good experience.

We discovered this place after searching for a good but different Indian restaurant that we hadn't explored previously. The ambience was good. We were welcomed well and the service was friendly, attentive and thoughtful. The starter was different and nice, so was the dessert but we personally did not find the mains all that interesting. It might just be us, but the meaty dishes felt too rich and rice wanting a lot more love. All in all a decent experience. Credit cards accepted including American express.

We ordered the Bottomless Brunch and trust me you're gonna be full with the most delicious Indian food we ever tried in London yet... The desserts were impeccable and looked straight out of a Master Chef's kitchen.
Will be looking forward to go there again.

I've visited this place on December 2021, about 8:00 pm. It was packed, and very loud. We ordered, chicken, fish curry, rice, nan bread, cucumber & mint raita, and sambosa.
Nan bread was really good, so we made another order.
Also, they had 0.0% alcohol free beer which is really great.
The staff was very friendly and nice, the service is amazing.
I thought the food was good but not really great. The quantity of the food was little in comparison to it price.
The cleanliness of the food and place is 5/5.
Generally, I enjoyed being in this place.

Food: N and I have discovered our favourite way for steak to be cooked, thanks to Zelman Meat’s delicious food! 🤤 Asking for medium left us with a perfectly juicy and tender steak, and we enjoyed every bite. We also ordered the Grilled Aubergine and Roasted Broccoli; definitely the yummiest veggies we’ve ever tasted! 👍🏽

Went to @zelman_meats in Knightsbridge, 5th floor of Harvey Nichols where there's a good range of halal steaks available. I went with my food gang they got this platter of mixed steaks .

I just got 200g of the sliced Picanha at £7.50 per 100g. Despite it being the cheapest of the meat cuts available it was a popular vote amongst everyone I ate with that it was the best .

Initially, I orderd it medium rare but it arrived less than like warm so I sent it back. It came back off the Fire all chewy, you can't reheat steak after it's been cooked and rested and expect it to be good. So i asked for a new order and this time went for medium, which was a improvement and tasted better. The medium here is like a medium rare in most other places .

Good steak, I have to say I could event eat 100g of it, got a bit too meaty for me. Damn this diet I'm on I get an practically nothing! .

Steaks are halal. Alcohol served. We all paid for our food. #notainvite

The staff were really nice and gave us a drink on the house!. Their food is very exquisite. Worth the price. Would visit again 1000/1000

I had an excellent dinner here. I was looking for halal steaks and this place certainly delivered. The service was exceptional, the menu was diverse yet simple, and the food was served fast. I will certainly be returning. (Needless to say, the ambiance is different from a regular restaurant as you are still inside Harvey Nichols which is essentially a department store chain. But these guys have done a good job with the space they have.)

Pricey but average. Burger was good. Steak wasn't good . Prawn tempura was amazing. Not really worth it considering the price. Cauliflower starter was okay - something different but not too tasty. Ambience nothing special either. I guess okay food for your average steakhouse, but not for these prices.

Love love love Zelman Meats. The Ribeye is absolute perfection. Been here a number of times and all I get is the ribeye. Plus they joined the eat out to help out scheme to I would highly recommend people to go there this month.

The apple crumble is also delicious. A big slice of pie and amazing. 

The reason for only 4 stars is that on a number of occasions on my visit, I ordered a mojito, and I was thoroughly disappointed with the proportion of drink to ice ratio (its 80% ice). For £7 that is absolutely not worth it. Although the drink does taste lovely, it's something they definitely need to improve on.

This is a cute little restaurant on the 5th floor of Harvey Nicks with one heck of a steak. Very decent wine selection and the sides were perfect accompaniments to the meal.

We do have Halal meats available depending on location. Zelman Meats Harvey Nichols has more range available.

The quality of food was good. Everything tastes fresh and homemade. The price is on average and the furniture is all right. The service was fine, just a bit of lack of ambient / positivity in the atmosphere. 
We had 5 starters, 2 mains, 2 bottles of sparkly water for ~70£. The portions were enough for 3 persons.

Not the ideal location for the business but food is still good.

Very nice food everytime I came and not so crowded. Hard to find decent Arabic restaurant in the area but luckily this is one of them. Recommend

I wasn’t delighted with services, food and prices they asking. Tables look good and appearance of restaurant isn’t bad but to competitive in the area to certain standards it will require a bit more tlc and proper fresh cooking. Especially when nearby competitors do really well and food is much tastier.

Popped in after visiting Harrods, it's very close by. The restaurant was very friendly and helpful, and the food great and good value. My niece was tired and tamtrummy, the waitress gave her a few baklava and it cheered/quietened her straight away! A big thumbs up from us all.

Last Friday I was invited by @mangotreerestaurant to check out their Iftar meal deal at £38 per person. Food was filling, it's a 3 course meal, fruit juice to start, stater platter of chicken satay, spring rolls and prawn thingy. The mains were 4 different dishes, Medium spicy beef massaman curry with new potatoes and cashew nuts, Grilled boneless corn-fed chicken marinated in coconut milk and Thai herbs. Stir fried king prawns with vegetables, garlic and oyster sauce. Stir-fried noodles with chicken, squid, egg, soya sauce and spring onion. Nothing blew us alway, but it's a Thai halal restaurant and there's not many. .

Check out the blog for a special offer, for discount on the iftar menu .  A little disappointed that I was told there was a prayer space, but they actually meant a space for prayer.. Which was little space at the back which was not very private or practical.

Absolutely Wonderful!!!! I had my Birthday celebratory meal here and it was the most tastiest, accommodating, enjoyable experiences I have had. The service was flawless, the staff were terrific and the food was divine and the cocktails were perfect. The restaurant decor is sophisticated and the ambiance is fitting for various occasions, the seating plan is well thought off and considerate for different groups of guests.

Service was very slow but the food was definitely worth the wait

The set menu was an amazing experience, the food tasted really good and was really filling. But most importantly, the service was top notch!  Very efficient but maybe because it was a Wednesday evening. As I’ve been here before on weekends and it’s been crazy busy. Overall I’ll definitely be coming back here again.

As a last minute booking to the start of our weekend in London, the Mango Tree was a great choice. My wife and I love Thai food, and having visited Thailand, we've experienced the food as it should be. Mango Tree did not disappoint. We had the Luxury Set Menu, which gave us a lovely combination of dishes, and every one was delicious. Well worth the, very reasonable, price.

Highly recommended, we will definitely visit again next time we're in London.
