Very overpriced. Service was very bad and they were trying to make me pay service charge. Food came in very small portions. Server tried to tell me that the service charge will come out of her pay check like I care cause I’m paying for the food anyway, that’s coming out of my pay check. Anyway, i highly suggest not to come her. Food was also dis-gus-tan!

Had the mix starter plate, was really nice, had a bit of everything.
For mains we ordered couple of different dishes with plain rice, the chicken coconut curry with Turmeric was lovely, we requested for it to be extra hot even though it already was, definitely my favourite dishes.
Would definitely recommend to try.

Great little Malaysian place in the west of London. A hidden gem, serving very authentic food! My first try at a Malaysian in London and did not disappoint. The chili ended up being too spicy that day (and this is from a Thai person, plus the Indian lady next to us enquired the same to the waiter) however I believe that was just a batch of chili paste being too expensive. Apart from that, everything else was great!

Came to this restaurant near its closing hours and the kind staff kept the kitchen open for our last orders. It was a decision we would not regret!

The food was delicious, starring a perfectly cooked crunchy sea bass with sambal sauce. You must try the chicken satay skewers dipped in their yummy peanut sauce. The satay plate came with a few rice cakes to make sure we have every bit of the sauce. 

Other delicious surprises included the breaded prawns, the Nasi goreng and the uber tender beef rendang. 

Another unforgettable dish was the kari lakhsa which was rich, spicy and super filling, coming with a very generous serving size.

We polished off the meal with sagu and ais kacang.

Overall, awesome meal! Definitely recommend it to anyone who discovers its hidden location.

Absolutely brilliant food - a taste sensation. Lots of natural light and green plants create a fresh atmosphere. Cocktails were well made,  not too syrupy or diluted.

Blown away with the food. As a vegetarian I was truly spoilt with choices.
What we thought would be a simple carrot side was a spectacular layered and textured dish, colourful carrots cooked to perfection with crispy tofu and a lush sauce. Hot potato was cordion layered potatoes in a rich but not heavy sauce.

Black forest is my favourite and dessert didn't disappoint. Light chocolate sponge drizzled in chocolate and deep cherry sauce.

Service matched the quality of food. Cannot wait to return and try other dishes and brunch menu.

Wonderful dinner at Bala Baya! Not only was the place beautifully decorated and modern, the food was insane! I’m a big mediterranean food fan and this was definitely on my top 3 of London! Definitely on the pricier side, but would recommend for a date night!

We got their hummus topped with meat, and aubergine dip! Both were sensational!
We also got their chicken and roasted cauliflower! Everything was a 10/10! Perfect pairings and interesting flavors.

We dined at Bala Baya as a group of four and tried a variety of dishes. My favorites were the aubergine mess, brisket doughnuts, and hummus so good that we ordered the latter two twice! The hot potato was tasty but small, the cauliflower steak was as good as cauliflower can be, and the kebab dumplings had a bit too much cumin for our liking. Service was excellent despite a delay in getting our table, the staff was so kind and helpful.
Overall the food was delicious, the atmosphere was great.

The Flavours was really good despite both my Prawn and Cauliflower dishes yogurt sauces looks similar but completely different. I like the complex and complimentary flavours for the Prawns.  Only the prawn head was bit darker indicates freshness but thank god they taste amazing.  I order the Mix  Salad but came the cauliflower but no regards 😋😋😋

Food was delicious, especially the sauces. Many vegan options clearly labeled. Service was a bit slow, the dishes would take quite a long time to arrive. But worth it and it’s great to be able to pay with Yums from TheFork!

I dined here last week Thursday and honestly, it was an absolutely spectacular meal. Thank you to Ashish who looked after us all evening - The service,  food, presentation of food, atmosphere… everything was brilliant 👏🏼 Hats off to the team

Food was decent, modern Indian with variety of choices and well executed. The atmosphere was chic/spacious but service/operation was all over the place….Ive been told they’ve only been open for a week … so Hopefully it will get better 😋

We went to Oorja Indian restaurant 2 weeks after it was opened. It was by far the best indian food we had in 3 years after coming to the UK. We ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic naan, Mango Lassi, Chili chicken, and Aloo tikki.
The service and the ambiance were very, very nice, and the location of the restaurant is just cherry on the top. Would highly recommend this place.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Oorja this evening. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the contemporary yet inviting design, which seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Indian artifacts. For a restaurant that has only been open for three weeks, the staff operated like a well-oiled machine—warm, professional, and incredibly attentive.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and escorted to a charming corner table on the street-level floor. Later, on my way to the restroom, I discovered a lower level, but I was glad to have been seated upstairs, as it offered a wonderful ambiance.

The meal itself was a journey of bold and exciting flavors. I started with the agriki aloo tikki chaat, a potato-based dish bursting with vibrant spices and textures. As a delightful surprise, the waiter brought out a box of assorted poppadoms in various shapes and textures, accompanied by three distinct dipping sauces—an imaginative and delicious touch.

For my main course, I opted for the chicken tikka chops with mint chutney and onion salad. The flavors were already excellent, but I couldn’t resist experimenting with some of the poppadom sauces, which elevated the dish even further.

To round off the meal, I chose a trio of kulfi scoops for dessert, paired with an espresso. Just when I thought the experience was complete, the waiter presented a palate cleanser—an aromatic mix of fennel seeds with sweet and salty elements that left a refreshing finish.

Oorja, which fittingly means energy, strength, and power, truly lives up to its name. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a meal with such an incredible depth of flavor. I can’t wait to return!

Booked a table for family of 7 pre-theatre. Had a great meal here, all the food was cooked to perfection and Devanchu (unsure of spelling) was an excellent member of staff, very friendly and helpful. Some of us ordered the pre-theatre express menu which was great value for money and tasted amazing. Service was a little slow but understandable as it had just opened and we could not complain when our food arrived!

We had a delicious meal here my husband got a burrito and I got the smashed nachos reasonable prices delicious flavors.
Really good variety of fresh hot sauces, and salsa .
They weren’t really good at substituting with the nachos. Even when I was willing to pay extra to add things, they said they couldn’t do it, which I thought was silly.

Rubina always bring so much smile to the customer. She's making sure the orders are well prepared and all is correct 💯💯
She takes care of the team in a very polite manner.

Food itself always looks and tastes fresh

I had high hopes for Tortilla, but it ended up being a huge disappointment. The food was bland, poorly prepared, and nowhere near fresh. The tortillas themselves were dry and tasted stale, while the fillings were either overcooked or barely seasoned. The portions were small for the price, and everything just felt slapped together without care.

To make things worse, the service was terrible. The staff seemed uninterested and unhelpful, and my order took way longer than it should have—even though the place wasn’t busy. When I finally got my food, it was wrong, and I had to wait even longer for them to fix it. No apology, no effort to make things right.

For what they charge, I expected way better quality and service. I won’t be coming back, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a decent meal.

I am regular visitor of this restaurant. Today the service standards were at its peak when I had noticed an elderly lady was helped in every possible way throughout her way. It was very nice gesture by the team.

Delicious and reasonably priced food.  Great flavor and freshness! A terrific respite from the overpriced and homogenized cuisine at so many more expensive places. Sara was particularly gracious and welcoming.

The fusion of Chinese and Indian food in this establishment is a gross understatement of what is possible in either kitchen separately. While navigating the complex favors of both cultures the chefs navigate it seamlessly and bring the best of both worlds. Through my wife's and my honeymoon through Paris and London this is by far one of the best meals we've had the pleasure of eating. We will definitely be returning to London just for this food and would recommend to anyone passing through or staying.

Delicious food and lovely service! Crackling Spinich was the best, ended up ordering another portion. Only gripe is their portion sizes are small. They could do with giving a slight bigger portion for the money they charge. Otherwise, overall food is superb.

We were attracted by the Chinese/Indian fusion concept, and went there with normal expectations. We ordered chicken and lamb momo, lamb chops, and other dishes, including 2 desserts -and I must say they we're quite tasty. Flavors are good, and service is great. Now, we payed over £180 for 3 people, and walked out half full. We ended up having a quick bite and drinks right after it. In conclusion, is too much money for what it is. Basic Chinese and Indian
street food, with small portions for what you pay.  Good lunch but not worth a second visit.

What can we say - BEAUTIFUL meal, fantastic Asian Fusion with lots of smaller/medium sized dishes with lots of incredible flavour, amazing relaxed but very cool vibe, great decor, and very attentive service. We sat at the bar which was great fun. Clayton and Tenzin were fantastic! We LOVED our meal and would definitely come back when we are in London again. Thank you so much for a lovely evening! Tried this place today! I had the Mexican beef burger, cheese chips and a drink as they were out of the shakes..

The patty of the burger was pretty good but lacked the spicy sauce and the bun was served cold. I would have enjoyed it more if the bun was hot. The cheese chips was really good! My friend had hawaii 50 chicken burger and wedges and was quite disappointed with the burger but wedges were good.

I'd recommend the Mexican burger and if I was to go there again, I'd ask for the bun to be warm.

Service provided by the two staff were good. Its pricey £35 for 2 burger, chips and soft drink.

This place in my opinion is average. Most of the seating is not great. The beef burger is better than the chicken. The chicken Judy needs a bit more love. The fries and olives were good. Price is normal for burger places these days. Service was great and friendly.

Worst customer service ever! On the 1st of July, I decided to try out their food, as I have read good reviews about it. However, I’ve been really disappointed. First of all, the customer service was really poor; while I was waiting for the food to be prepared, the two guys working there were having a really loud conversation in their language and making jokes. I found this behaviour very rude and inappropriate in that moment since i didn't understand what they were saying. Also, I clearly told the guy that was taking my order literally 10 seconds before him cooking it that I didn’t want the onions in some of the burgers, and asked for the sauces to be only on the side. However, they did completely the opposite of what I’ve asked. Secondly, their food was completely bland; the sweet potatoes were burnt, because they have fried them twice! And the beef patties and the steak were so bitter and burnt with a real bad aftertaste. Overall, the food had no taste and, didn’t meet my expectations.
I myself have years of experience in the customer service of restaurants, I can understand that having fun at work is important but with an empty restaurant ignoring the customer requests and having such behaviour was completely unacceptable.

The Ivy Asia St Paul's

My partner booked this restaurant for my birthday last Thursday. We were welcomed from the beginning and the place was absolutely stunning. The hostess showed us our seat by the window that was just perfect with the view of St. Paul’s. The Waitress Gabriella made us feel comfortable and showed us the Menu and gave us suggestions. She was always present and on point with food and more drinks!
The dinner was lovely, we had a selection of 6 different small plates, so delicious and with a very unique taste. We ended up with the red dragon for dessert and Gabriella brought a celebration plate with vanilla mochi and a candle for my birthday.

we are definitely going back to visit this restaurant!

Amazing…light and flavorful dumplings, salad was fresh and perfectly balanced, chicken skewers were off the chart, sushi was fresh and delicious and presented beautifully, atmosphere is lively and fun and staff is very attentive and friendly.  We did not have a booking for they were full but the made room for us at the chef’s table.  To top it off our waiter was one of the owners but did not tell us until the end.  He is a humble servant and he has trained the staff to perfection.  A must stop in London! Great view of St Paul’s Cathedral from every table.

I have been here for dinner and the afternoon tea and all I can say is, whatever the occasion and food choice it doesn't disappoint.
It is so beautifully decorated, with the lighting avocado floors to the beautiful pink blossom trees. I had the same waiter as last time. Daniel is such a lovely guy, attentive even though he is really busy, so calm, relaxed and such an asset to the restaurant. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Had a fantastic evening here at The Ivy Asia. The starters were incredible and the best part of the meal in my opinion, the main courses were good but not as good as the starters. Some of the meat was Halal which is always an added bonus and the atmosphere was great too! A bit pricey, but I guess given the location and interior of the restaurant, this is expected. Wouldn't go back in a rush but on a special occasion, I'd definitely consider it!

Delicious food in such a beautiful setting. Interior decor is outstanding. Great service. We were served by Christian who looked after us very well. Highly recommended for a special occasion. Great cocktails too, we all had a fabulous evening  :)))

Have been wanting to come here for a year and finally came and am so happy I did! Came with my Moroccan friend and we all loved the food and atmosphere! So lovely, so pretty and such generous portions! Would for sure recommend - also has vegetarian options. ♥️

The food were really great. We ordered lamb coucous and a platter of mezze. Even my Palestinian friend said that they tasted original. Sadly the service was a bit down due to error in the ordering machine hence the food came after waiting for an hour. The place is really accessible and the atmosphere is homey.

Exceptional! We were warmly welcomed by Walid, the friendly and hospitable manager. He added a personal touch to our experience by offering us homemade sweets his mother had sent from Morocco and even gave us fezzes to wear during our meal, he even let us take a fez home with us!

Lighthearted fun like this is always welcome and made our visit even more special.

**And the food?**

The food was excellent! The portions were generous, and every dish was bursting with flavor. We opted for the 3-course prix fixe menu. For starters, we enjoyed Labneh, Hummus, Falafel, and a thimble of harissa paste. The mains, consisting of chicken tagine and lamb tagine, were slow-cooked to perfection—soft and incredibly flavorsome. Desserts included a delightful selection of homemade baklava, Turkish delights, all finished off with a pot of Moroccan mint tea.

**Was it value for money?**

Absolutely. The entire meal, which was competitively priced at £95 for the two of us, offered excellent value. Coupled with the outstanding food and impeccable customer service, Souk is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Moroccan dining experience in Central London.

The restaurant is so cozy, quiet and allows for privacy. A very beautiful Moroccan vibe. The waiter was very smiley and kind, the food wasn’t late at all. We tried the sea-bass and couscous and it was amazing!! Reasonable prices, would definitely go again.

The food is really tasty and transports you to North Africa.. A hidden gem in central London that I wish I'd discovered sooner.
The ambience is really warm and cosy, with very charming decor..
The staff are also super welcoming and make you feel completely at home :)

Bedford Hotel

Very impressed with this hotel, as a member of a local hotel chain. Never had a room at the front so can’t comment, but all hotels facing a London main road does tend to be noisy. Food , room ,  clean corridors and lifts, all of great quality for a stared hotel. Special mention to a charming and attentive young lady on reception and restaurant greeter . Alexandra.

Location is central. Breakfast was okay (get there early for best selection). Room was small but clean (a little stuffy and paper thin walls). Garden side was quiet. Staff (especially Deep and Alexandra) were responsive (and being able to check in early after a red eye was great).

Overall a decent choice given the price/quality/location.

Staff was friendly and helpful and requests were handled promptly. Room was clean and while it was on the smaller side (single room), it still had plenty of room to store luggage and iron clothes.

The only low point was the shower - low ceiling, low water pressure, and wildly fluctuating temperature control made it a pretty miserable experience.

Given the value for the location I would stay again for a short trip.

A Truly Wonderful Stay!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly, always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made me feel welcomed and at home from the moment I arrived. The hotel itself exudes warmth and charm, with beautifully designed interiors that reflect both comfort and coziness. My room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. The overall atmosphere was peaceful and inviting, creating a perfect blend of luxury and coziness.The hotel's location is simply stunning, easy access to nearby attractions, making it the perfect spot for both relaxation and exploration.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, beautiful, and welcoming place to stay. I will definitely be returning!

We had a nice stay here. Great location in the city centre close to public transport and at a bustling street which you, however, don’t hear at all when you close the window. It’s a bit noisy within the hotel though, so you might hear your neighbours every now and then. Also, the shower has a curtain and is pretty small which is not the most convenient. However, we’re happy and the staff was friendly, including Alexandra who helped us at checkout. Would recommend.

BENARES RESTAURANT | MAYFAIR

The service was a premium, the decor contemporary, the location was easy to find (with free parking during the evenings, if you can find it).

The food was cooked well, the menu was detailed, and the overall impression of the restaurant was pleasant.

However, I can't quite justify the minimum spend with the food. While it was good quality food, I simply couldn't quite nail down why it was Michelin star worthy - relative to other places I've been to that where either cheaper, or better food.

No doubt the food was of a high quality, cooked with care, but I can't justify the premium.

Overall, would recommend if someone was in the area, but wouldn't return at this price point.

As soon as I entered the restaurant I felt catapulted to the ‘80s, the style it’s a bit dated 🙈 the food quality and the service though, make me want to come back very soon.
Everything was delicious and very well presented, furthermore, when they knew I was celebrating my birthday, they came with a lovely cake and a candle to celebrate.

I really wanted to like this, we were bought the tasting menu as a gift, and waited for a special occasion to use it. Unfortunately this was sub-standard. I would not recommend for the price.

Good points
- interesting use of seafood, never had a sea bream chaat before, and in all fairness this dish was the best we had.
- wine pairings were successful flexing between both white and red wines from Europe
- staff were attentive, although a bit quick to turnover courses
- door staff were lovely
- presentation of all the food was better than the taste

Negatives
- decor overall felt dated and old fashioned
- food was largely bland / over spiced and not enough flavour. Actually left my main meal of sole kebab as was rubbery
- overall atmosphere felt stuffy and not at all worthy of a special occasion
-price did not justify vs other tasting menus. I wouldn’t have wanted seconds of anything

I found this place while looking for recommendations on the web. I was really disappointed as it did not meet my expectations that were based off of reviews online.  I intend this to be a constructive feedback given the food overall was good and service was nice. My disappointment was mainly with the portion sizes of all dishes on the set menu. I don't expect restaurants to go out of their way in their generosity but this definitely felt below par.
I would love to hear others who have been here. Also wonder if there is a bar for portion sizes that even Michelin star restaurants ought to adhere to.

Exquisite food and excellent service. The wine list is an extensive selection if white, rose, red and sparkling, ranging from £38-£999. All the food was explained which would probably beneficial to someone not well versed in Indian and Indian fusion food. They also gave me some recommendations when I was stuck between two wines. The notes for the wine are not listed so if you are unsure it's best to ask them. My favourite dish was definitely the salmon which was both delicate and flavourful. They also bought a dessert out for the birthday we were celebrating. The only thing downside (and it was one my parents had rather than me) was it felt a bit busy/cramped with the amount of tables. However it was peak lunchtime so I believe this to be unavoidable. This isn't a cheap meal out but the price is actually worth it unlike some other Michelin star restaurants.

The chicken and lamb are certified halal. The venison and duck are not - and can be replaced.

Delicious spicy food. The flavours are truly memorable… my taste buds were tantalised! The service is super friendly and attentive (even on a Saturday night!). I will definitely return. I recommend the fish cooked in banana leaf… divine!

We had a very good time here. The ambience of the restaurant was so cool and calm. Food was very tasty and mouth watering. Strongly recommend to anyone who are looking for authentic Indian food. Special mention to Mr. Jey for his warm service. We felt home only because of him.

Honestly one of my favorite meals I had during my week-long trip to London. Staff was very helpful in recommending me a dish (I'd never had food from southern India before) and everything was delicious! Will definitely be back.

I thought the food was really good! The level of spice was just right and the flavours were brilliant. The ambiance of the place was very serene. I would recommend to go.

Absolutely delicious curry! Loved the flavours and spices! Our friends took us there for lunch recently and we had to go again within a few days it was so good. We'll visit again when next in town.

Great setting with incredible decor, service was very friendly too but unfortunately poorly executed. The food is mediocre at best, with many of the signature dishes being bland. As a group of 2, we ordered a main dish each - they forgot to bring out one of the dishes which meant that my friend watched me eat until his dish was brought out, at which point I had already finished my food and then had to watch him eat. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend or return.

Impressive venue with lovely decor but the service and food wasn't great.
To be honest I don't expect food to be great in these fancy restaurants but expected a much better service. The staff wasn't attentive enough even though it wasn't that busy. Hope they can improve on the service as customer's expect a good service when you visit these high end restaurants.

The food is great, the staff are super friendly but be prepared To pay a premium for the location. Firstly there are limited vegetarian options but there some. We are both vegetarian and the food they presented was of a very high quality and it tasted superb. With drinks, service charge and tax we paid roughly £25 per person which I think is decent in this part of town. They also had a live band playing which was very nice touch. The atmosphere, ambiance and generally the architecture of the building was also very nice. It’s a great place for a special date meals. I don’t think I will eat here again, though it’s a very nice experience, I think they’re a lot better Indian restaurants in London and do the food better for A lot less.

Indian restaurant in London with fairly good tasting food at a premium price as I suppose that is due to its location.  Not too impressed with the cocktails however the service and presentation on a whole is very good. Good to try out atleast once for a special occasion or if you are in Central London and fancy some Indian food.

Definitely pricey! But good food. Christmas menu works out to be more expensive than a la carte. Even though 4 items are shown on set menu, only allowed to choose 3. Fantastic decor.

Patty&Bun - Old Compton Street

Had the monthly special burger forgot the name but it had a juicy fried chicken burger  with Welsh Rarebit! and the brisket loaded fries. Taste was supreme. The brisket fries hit different 😋

A fun experience. Brilliant quality food. A nice ambiance. They accepted us in as a walk in and didn't judge us when we needed occasional help with dismembering our lobster. It was a fun experience. I recommend it. Great date place.

A bit pricey in my opinion comparing with the amount of food that you get. The burger was tasty indeed.  Good service and great music.

Everything from the cocktails to the burgers to the fries is amazing! Rum punch definitely packs a punch but is really tasty. The vegan options are really lovely, one of the best burgers i’ve had. Staff are really friendly.

Our lamb and chicken is Halal at all locations. Our beef is Halal at Kingly and James St.

Lovely quaint little place. Love the vibe. Polite welcoming staff, nice turnover of customers so not a place to linger long. It’s very small. Small cozy tables. Think it can seat up to 22/24 people guessing. Food was tasty! And I want to try more dishes! Loved the pork noodles spring onions and egg in the tonkotsu x I opted not to have the ear fungus in my dish. If you’ve never had it it has a cartilage kind of crunch to it. Just not for me. It’s well deserving of its name.
I 100 percent recommend the crepe dessert paired with a tea!
I was seated at table 10 where there was an under table vent letting in the cold winter air which had to be taped up as the plastic kept falling off. Apart from that lil issue I love the place!

Very good ramen, great staff and attentive!

Things went downstream when I went to their toilets, flies around the walls, very dirty, very disgusting and it says a lot to the hygiene, so kind of didn’t feel the best leaving. It is right next to their kitchen downstairs. Please refurbish your toilets and get them to a nice standard. Especially since it is right next to the kitchen. The taps were in pretty bad shape.

Their payment system says discretionary 12.5% fee. I tried paying online and maybe changing this and it didn’t allow me. Please give users to add more or remove it completely since this charge is completely optional.

The staff there though were great.

Good ramen at a decent price, service is quick, order came exactly as ordered.

Noodles cooked exactly as I requested, the tonkotsu broth was amazing, gyoza was perfect and the toppings were perfectly portioned.

I have been here 3 times now and it is seriously the best ramen I have ever eaten. We had the Tonkotsu X and the Gekikara (first photo) and if I could rate it higher I would. The egg is amazing, I always order extra everytime and can’t recommend it enough. The pork is fantastic and the broth is to die for. Amazing service by all staff members, quick wait times and really freaking good food. Definitely worth visiting. 100/100.

surprisingly there wasn’t a queue when i visited so we were seated very quickly and service was very quick. the staff are very friendly also.

the broth is very rich and yummy and the cha siu is great too!
the egg does cost extra but i highly recommend you get one! they have perfectly jammy egg yolks and so much flavour has absorbed into the whites.

we both got the noodles cooked hard (the recommended firmness) and honestly no complaints.

i think this is also quite a budget friendly place. i believe after student discount, the truffle ramen + egg was about £16 and the tonkotsu x was around £11. overall very good value for money!

this is somewhere i will be sure to visit again and i highly recommend others to visit too!

Honest Burgers London Bridge - Tooley Street

Absolutely loved it!!!! Had the normal beef burger with blue cheese and it wasn't too small that I wasn't full but not too big either perfect sizing. My friend had the Wellington and loved it as well. Drinks were fast and very tasty (great cocktails). Served by Sofia who was lovely and was very willing to help with any dietary needs our group had. Definitely coming here again!

Trendy burger joint. Friendly and efficient staff. We both had the Honest Burger, and tried both fries and slaw as sides. Everything was really good. Burger was juicy and had a nice char. Fries were crispy and perfect and the slaw added a nice acidity. There’s also some good local beers on the menu. Recommended.

Absolutely loved this place! It was a last minute find and all of us raved about it the whole weekend! It’s very cheap, delicious and the staff are lovely! Will definitely revisit when back in the area!

Even though it was very busy I got a table straight away. Service was good and food came very quickly. I had the chicken burger and wings which are tasty and the burger beer which is nice. Toilets were clean and prices are about what you would expect. The onion rings are good but have a lot of batter compared to onion!

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

The cocktails here are amazing!

I visited Cottons with a group of girls and had an amazing time. The food, drinks and atmosphere were amazing.

We initial booked to sit inside but it was such a lovely evening we asked if we could sit outside, which was accommodated with ease.

The only reason I knocked one star off is that service was initially slow. No body told us that we had to use our phones to download the menu. Consequently when we were asked if we were ready to order we were a bit miffed. Once we got our drinks, food came soon after and we continued to enjoy our evening.

I'd happily recommend this restaurant and look forwards to returning.

I ordered the jerk platter for two (£29.99). Don’t get me wrong the food was tasty but it didn’t have that authentic jerk flavour that I as a Jamaican know and love the sauce tasted a lot like chutney to me but like I say the food was lovely just not authentic. I felt that even though it stated it was for two the portion of rice was very small. They plantain wow that was cooked to perfection loved em 🤤  The biggest let down was the lack of food options for children. There wasn’t even any options for them on the menu. We only knew they did burgers and chips because we saw another table with children had them. But when they came it was really bad. A dry thin piece of what looked like frozen breaded chicken breast with brunt edges. Both my sons didn’t eat them. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I didn’t use the bathroom but the restaurant itself was clean. Love the decor reminds me of being on the beach.

My husband and I stumbled on this restaurant by accident. Was very pleased about this too. Food was very tasty. Service was slow to start but once food was ordered came in good time with apologies for having to wait. Standard of food far outweighed any problem re waiting times but what do you expect on a busy Saturday evening. I would recommend and would  definitely come back next time we visit London

We ordered a salad and had a whole bite of mud when we nearly finish it. The mud sticked on my teeth, took me a long time to clean them. When we try to tell the manager (maybe?) about this, funny thing happened. He refused to accept this could happen in this restaurant, because some how they have five star standard kitchen to clean every salad. If that’s true, I deeply hope other customers won’t have similar experience like me.

The staff here are all super friendly from entrance to finish. they created such an inviting atmosphere and provided great service throughout also.

Had the sharing starter, fried Plantain and some fries. Didn’t come on an empty stomach unfortunately which was a regret as all the food they offered sounds so tasty!

Cocktails looked pretty neat but I was boring and stuck to draft Camden pale. Plenty of choice on draft.

Facilities were very clean and well kept. Floor space in the restaurant is very spacious so no squeezing around and tables are well spaced out

One of the best steak I've ever had in London.
No words in the world would make justice to the flavors that you get the honor to enjoy here.
For sure it's a place not to be missed and should definitely be on your bucket list.
The service was outstanding and I'd like to say a big "Thank you" to Maria, our waitress, she was always there wen needed and never intrusive.
If you want one steak, only, in your life, this is the place to have it.

Food is good. Steaks are very well cooked. The other Macellaio restaurants are nicer (feel more authentic). Prices for meat range from £10-£15/100grams. If you are a meat lover, the final bill can get fairly high!

If you love meat, be careful not to get too greedy, as prices are per 100g, so you can end up paying over £100 for one steak. It is a once in a year experience as final bill was too much. The starters were delicious so if you want to stick to starters only, you will be fine. Steak tartare was amazing, truffle chips as well. It is a great place, good service, food, atmosphere and all but I would still go to a really nice all you can eat style steakhouse and pay much less for good quality food. But if you want to indulge on a special occasion, this is the place!

Went there on the 19th of Feb with my girlfriend. We managed to get a table at short notice and boy was it the best choice we made.

We were served by Angela, who was incredibly friendly and helpful and she made our stay very welcoming.

The food was delicious and the wine to go with it was superb. Will definitely be back again when we're next in London

First time visiting Macellaio as they have the option for two halal steaks on their menu. Unfortunately one wasn't available so we could only have the T-bone which was superb. We opted for oysters and the burrata and pesto salad for starters which were nice. The T-bone was melt in the mouth delicious. We had these with the truffle fries which were just the right amount of crispness to softness. We followed this with the raspberry millofoglie - really nothing to write home about or worth getting again. We were looked after by Catherine who was very lovely and just showed the right amount of attentiveness - great service from the door on arrival to leaving. Would I go again is the key? Probably not until they have more halal options on the starters side. Worth a try though.

Food: I feel really bad saying this because we actually really enjoyed ourselves at Novikov, but the food just didn’t live up to our expectations. The Singapore Noodles and Prawn Fried Rice were bland and flavourless, and the Sweet and Sour Prawns weren’t as good as they are at the Chinese down the road. The Prawn Tempura was okay, quite oily though, but the Baby Squid was probably the best thing we ate that night.
Service: The atmosphere at Novikov is incredible! We really did enjoy every second there and would definitely go back, more for the lovely service rather than the food though, haha. 😬

baby! In my Top 2 restaurants and has remained there
for years. Silly of me after a good few visits I've never
actually posted a review of it! Here we are now.
There's plenty of pricey restaurants in London to
choose from but this is the best for me. There's two
sections to the restaurant, Asian or Italian. We always
opt for Asian.
Well as you're seated they serve you some vegetables
with some sauce which I believe is called shizu sauce
this sauce is pretty remarkable, and it's so tricky to
describe the taste but it's so good we finish it all up
and request another set of it. It certainly is special and
that just highlights the start of this tasteful experience.
Mains:
Korean Lamb Cutlets: A serving of 4 and these are a
must order. The way it's cooked, the tenderness is
unrivalled. Then there's the thick glaze of a teriyaki
type flavour which takes the flavour up a notch. You
can also get these cooked how you want I.e medium
rare. I'll be honest though on this occasion they arrived
warm and weren't as amazing but still damm delicious.
Black Cod with Miso sauce. Spectacular. Never had
black cod as good as this, cooked to perfection and
with that sauce just another level.
Sushi: We ordered 3 different types and all were really
really good, as you'd expect at this quality/level. Our
favorite was the salmon and cheese one - overall the
yummiest even though we also tried a truffle infused
one.

Also their wagyu tacos are nice but not amazing imo
compared to the above mains anyway.
Dessert is also great but nothing too special.
Overall Novikov offers food on such a high level of
quality and taste, the price really is worth it and makes
a great dinner spot for special occasions - the level of
flavours is up there.

Novikov Restaurant & Bar

I was greeted and shown to our table quickly when we entered the restaurant. There was a nice vibe in there. The waiters were pleasant and knew the menu well. We ordered and didn't have to wait long to be served. The quality and presentation was fantastic. The food tasted great and we really enjoyed our meal. The only criticism would be that it was a little overpriced even if it is Mayfair. However, I would return.

It’s not that special… we went Novikov on Thursday at 8pm and the vibe was good. Our server was super friendly and the service was fast, as well as the starters and even main! We had the chicken tacos which I loved! The prawn money bags were 50/50, I just didn’t like the texture but the spice and flavour was perfect. We also got the California roll which was horrible…! He enjoyed his lamb chops, and I didn’t really enjoy the duck salad. The cocktail zombie was quite nice and strong. Overall the experience was nice, however I wouldn’t go back and I don’t think it’s worth it for me personally. It was also upsetting to see those live crabs in those small tanks outside.

Dined in the Asian side of the restaurant - The restaurant decor is nice and has an intimate feel to it. The presentation of food ingredients is also nice seeing all the colours of seafood and vegetables. The staff are helpful and always wizzing around. The food was nice and the portion sizes are very much decent👍🏼 although the egg fried rice was not nice tasting. I would be interested to try the Italian side of the restaurant to see the taste of the dishes there are like.

Dined in the Italian restaurant for a special birthday. Definitely not cheap and the tables were too close together but otherwise everything is perfect. Service was great, food delicious, portions generous. The candle in our desert and singing from the staff was a super nice touch too.

The food was very good especially the duck salad. We had a mixture of lots of different dishes which we shared before 4 of us. The king crab leg was very overpriced so wouldn’t bother with that again! The service was also very good. It’s not cheap and there is a minimum spend per person.

All halal items are clearly marked on the menu including chicken, duck and lamb. Please ask a member of staff for assistance if anything is unclear.

Have been here quite a few times for lunch and have not been disappointed.

Like it says in the name, the food is simple, healthy and actually tasty too, with a variety of options
(as long as you don't get there too late, as options do seem to sell out quickly).

Majority of the staff are very friendly and welcoming too.

Definitely a great clean alternative to stodgy lunches that wipe out your energy for the rest of the day.

Overall a very nice place for lunch. Great salad selection, and big portions if you go for the large box. I would of given them 5 stars but the chicken was very fatty. The spicy mayo is VERY spicy!

Cold chicken and undercooked brocolies. Service is fast and queue even on Friday is short. But extremely disappointing food. Ordered pesto chicken, but it was not able to taste any pesto at all. It had only a bit of green herbs on it. No trace of nuts :(

All veggies on the side were super raw. Had to bin brocolies and beatroot and microwave chicken back in the office.

At checkout they pack order, but don't put catlery in the bag.

That food and vegan, dairy free, gluten free sweets OMG accompanied with friendly staff.

I overall enjoy this place and eat here a lot for convenience. Good enough food and friendly staff. Main gripe is their portions are wildly inconsistent, usually on the smaller side. Sometimes it feels like they are purposely putting so little on the plate you need to ask for more. I shouldnt be able to count the potatoes just from a quick glance. I also usually come later and they have plenty leftover so I imagine they throw a lot away. So please train staff to not go so light on the salads - it will keep people coming back in the long run.

All Meat is Halal, Measures are taken to avoid Cross contamination with Pork. Locally sourced ingredients.

Incredible flavors, simple decor, cozy interior

My only regret about this place is I wish they were bigger and had more space inside! The flavor & spice combinations are incredible and feel homey (having Egyptian & Lebanese family, this feels just like something they would've made for me)

It's a cute, cozy place, and you really can't go wrong with any of their options. I'd very gladly come again to try more of their options and can't wait for next time!

My first time trying this famous street food. Brilliant. Tastes amazing and the spicy tomato sauce adds a real punch. Very simple dish, will try to recreate at home. Limited seating inside restaurant. Pleasant service

I was walking along the street and I turned to look inside it because it had a Chipotle type vibe. Said eat like an Egyptian so I wanted to give it a try. Tried the plant power koshari and the classic koshari, and the woman working was incredibly helpful with the sauces and vege options! I will definitely return the ingredients were so fresh!

Absolutely delicious koshari— a must try if you haven’t had it before! I’ve had koshari in Cairo and homemade by my friend from Egypt. So glad to find Koshari Street so I can enjoy this in London!

We had two classic koshari then added chicken and beef each , the taste was similar to the original Egyptian dish except hot sauce that was missing ,

COYA Mayfair

Amazing service, ambience was a bit dark but i personally liked. Was sitting next to a couple who complain to much of the food they didn’t even touch. My waitress was very good with her timing & made sure all our food and drinks was serviced at a convenient time. I also ordered the £110 wagyu steak but seemed pretty small for the price. Overall a must place to go.

Dined here for my birthday dinner with friends; utter perfection!

The food is a range of small plates. Between the three of us, we ate 2 starters, 3/4 mains & 3 desserts. The cocktails were also expertly blended and we couldn’t stop ordering more.

The service is top tier. Escorted to your seat (which has a pull out space to place your bag), orders are delivered in a timely manner, advice is in hand for recommendations on the menu (which was spot on).

The decor is unreal, right from the entrance, through the private members’ area, main restaurant and even in the loos.

P.S. you’re given the cutest box of truffle chocolates when you leave.

A nice place for a Peruvian dinner at Mayfair. We had a dinner for 2 for about 250 after tip and without any cocktails. The service was a little bit odd - no one explained us about the dishes, the music was too loud. The food was fantastic but I'm not sure it's a good value for money place.

Went here for my mums birthday and had a fantastic time! The drinks, food and service were all brilliant. The vibe and decor really add the the experience and I remember really loving the scent they used in the lobby. Would highly recommend and personally would love to go back!

Honest Burgers Covent Garden

A lovely Honest with fantastic staff that make you feel welcome. Ideal for a quick meal while shopping or visiting the theatres nearby.

My go-to at Honest is always the Honest Burger and onion rings, and they never let you down. Outside seats in the summer are also great if you want some air!

great Restaurant with several choices of burgers. had to wait several minutes to get a table but was wirth the wait. we tried the honest burger and the chili burger. both very juicy and delicious and by far the best burgers we had during our stay in London. the rosemary fries were also really tasty. the waiters were really friendly and attentive.

Amazing experience. Gabriel was a superb host and waiter. He made me feel so special and loved. Exactly what I needed after a long day of work. Will definitely be coming back 😭😘

Had a double covent garden special with fries and onion rings. By default the burgers are medium rare, which is what I went for. The burger was very nice. The rosemary fries weren't bad. However, the onion rings tasted weird - tastes like they put cumin or something on it.

WOW being gluten free it's always hard to find the best food ... Honest Burger didn't disappoint! From the onion rings to the burger all was out of this world. Amazing little spot - get there before opening! They are tiny but intimate. The service that was delivered truly was worth going back for. Thank you - I can't wait to visit again.

Patty&Bun - Liverpool Street

Nice place. The atmosphere around me was buzzing, music pumped up- a bit too much for my liking. The chips were very good, the vegan chicken tenders had salt sprinkled on top~ was no need for this, the salt dominated the flavour of the tender and accompanying chilli and lime vegan mayo, which by itself was beautifully balanced.
Maybe the meat options is where it’s at..? Still I think this is a great place to start a good night. Service was great.

Table service and atmosphere were fine, however the food could have been better overall. In particular, the chips/fries with chicken skin salt were not just salty but excessively so i.e. more or less coated with salt; even my partner who adds salt to virtually every meal agreed with me on this, so we find that to be saying something.

It was a passable experience as a convenient bite to eat outside of Liverpool Street station, but we probably wouldn't visit again.

Never disappoints- Lambshank Redemption Burger!!! I will risk a statement - Best Lamb Burger 🍔 I ever had!! The composition is just banging, aubergine, courgettes, feta just a pure explosion of flavors in my mouth 💥 Rosemary chips were great, made from fresh potatoes 🥔 with skin on it huge portion. One thing I was quite disappointed about was pricing, and fact that even though it’s not in their special burger menu set, it didn’t apply to lunch meal deal?! Why? Total with chips & soda £17+ 🙃please include it in your lunch deal.

Stopped by for an early dinner on my way from the airport - really good food. Service was very quick but it was also near empty so may differ. Cute decor and cocktail offers available, as well as student discount lunch deals.

Honest Burgers Bank

Popped in here for a burger, chips and a beer and I was really impressed. Staff friendly, chilled vibes and the burger itself (cheeseburger) was very tasty. Rosemary chips also decent, and a good size portion. And good value for money in area where that isn’t always the case. Will be back!

Strangely empty, especially given the burgers and sweet potato fries and dipping sauces are so good. Really enjoyed the food and the service was great. Definitely worth popping in for.

Let me start off by saying the place itself is cute; food is great I had the tribute burger with their truffle fries. The onion rings needed more seasoning. Our waiter Gregory was great but his partner who was a woman who wore a pink hair clip gave us attitude for them adding an extra item to our bill when we didn’t even order it and instead of taking it back decided to slam it on the table. Other then the rude waitress with the pink hair clip this place was a good choice.

Great and quiet place for a good dinner and to taste a good variety of beers. We enjoyed some Trappist beers while having some Mussels and Belgian-like beef stew. The staff was kind and helpful. We'll be back for sure!

Pelican State Bloomsbury

Good service and large portion was very filling. The food was not great though - the crispy boil items all tasted pretty much the same. The mussels were dry and calamari was very tough. The fish and shrimp were fine though, and the sauce was good. Overall perfectly fine for a lunch meal but probably won’t come back in a rush

I was very happy with the Boiled seafood combo and the delicious and well seasoned sauce on the bottom. The veggie burger however was bland. I think the way the ordering system works might have made some sense during covid but not now. During my stay (about an hour) there were 3 separate tables that had issues with it or needed explaining and is especially inconvenient for elderly people.

The place is a bit cold and not what you would expect from a seafood "let's get messy" restaurant.  Service is not very impressive but gets the job done. Food was somehow OK but calamari were chewy and the portions are not worth the money. Taste is decent though. Not a bad experience but simply not enough to come back for seconds.

First time eating at Pelican State, and I must say the food was very delicious. I ordered the XL boil combo with garlic sauce - which was definitely enough for two, and 2 portions of sweet potato fries as sides. I would highly recommend. The garlic sauce was super tasty :) Really friendly staff, and although it was quite busy around 1.30pm-ish, it wasn't a long wait for the food to arrive.

For your seafood cravings, Pelican state is one of the go to's. This branch is smaller than the one in Marylebone. The food is satisfactory and just hits you at the right spot.
They have a choice of seafood combos (boiled or fried) and now offer lunch menu combo.
The staff didn't smile too much but still served the orders.

Flesh & Buns Oxford Circus

I have been coming for years and it always so great. We got the chip and dips, the dips were lacking flavour but the chips were good. The fried squid was also great but the portion size should be more. The Korean wings, this is the signature and it is MUST try- they are coated so well yet are so crispy and moist on the inside. For the buns we got the duck leg, which the servers politely trimmed, and the brisket which is beef. Both amazing but I definitely lean towards the sauce from the brisket and the duck for the flesh. Our total bill was about £85 with drinks which is reasonable for the location. Service was good but could definitely be worked on. Overall, a great experience!

Awesome place! The service was good considering today's labor issues. We tried a variety of dishes but I must say the Squid dish was one of the best crispy calamari I've had. Yes it's called Squid here!

The sake options were plentiful. The overall experience was great and our party of 12 thoroughly enjoyed it!

A unique culinary experience. Every dish that we tried made us say "wow" and left us wanting to come back! The staff service is excellent and the place is very beautifully decorated. Perfect place for a night out with friends.

The venue looks very decent. Food did not wow me, sashimi portion is very small, just 2 pieces. We tried Scallop Yaki, Salmon Sashimi, Scallop sashimi, salmon & avocado maki, crispy piglet belly, Korean fried wings, and Matcha Mille Crepe for dessert.
