KFC London - Farringdon Road

Food was of decent quality but no more than I would expect from a chain like KFC. The issues with this branch though are customer service and cleanliness.. went in twice for evening meal while staying down in London (love kfc) and both times my food was practically thrown at me by 2x different workers. Went to go sit downstairs as upstairs full and both time it was disgustingly messy like my photo.

And my astonishment that after driving to the place. I stayed another 15 minutes waiting for my order and the people who made the requests on site were met faster
Lack of professionalism until the time of delivery in bags all cloved and neither bags has paw delivery food, too much garbage on the floor trash bin without cover all, no hegiene conditions space and food safety

Nice little KFC.. not the best but good enough.. popcorn chicken was kinda dead. Restaurant has a quite a few seats & has some more seating downstairs.

I came In this very evening, at peak hour, and I saw the demand on a high scale with only 1 staff serving more than 20+ customers, and she kept her cool and was polite and professional. I felt so bad that I left the unit In order to make her burden 1 less customer demand. She pleaded with me to stay and make my order but my conscious wouldn't allow me. when I did come back after an hour and it was far less busy, She still had the same energy and was happy to see me return and welcomed me back. She then went on to do her job and I asked one of the staff about her name and they replied her name is Soumaya! I wanted to know her name just to mention it in this review, KFC is lucky to have such a wonderful staff, under pressure and yet kept professional and provided 100% customer service!

The chicken did not have any flavour like it usually does. The bun was soggy and I had to add gravy to the burger to add some flavour. We ate in the restaurant and the servers at the till couldn't even understand what we wanted or really speak English. Very disappointed as KFC is better in other places.

HFA has certified KFC's products in these stores, and the store environments, as halal. KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. KFC only buys high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, and this will not change.

We been here a few times already. It was always a good choice, never disappointed. We decided to go alcohol-free today and their mojito.. just yummy. Staff is friendly and attentive. Great place for a meat lovers!

Whenever I want some nice steak and unique starters, this is my place! The food is delicious, the signature drinks are really nice and the staff is simply adorable. I particularly like the tartare and the lard bruschettas, and also one of my favourite dishes is the tuna tataki whenever I feel like not having meat. Thanks to your lovely approach I have become a regular client and often go to this restaurant to celebrate events!

A wonderful and great restaurant. You’re greeted by the door and the staff is very attentive. The menu is made to look like a newspaper, where you can scan the QR code for a wine list.
The food is delicious! You can get Italian fine dining and prime steaks at one spot.
I’m definitely coming back.

Meat lovers’ paradise.

The Fassona beef is the star here. Matured for a very very long time. Best enjoyed as a shared rib of T bone.

Pasta and Tuna dishes also available.

Great service, always, from friendly staff.

Daniel ordered in some off-menu Bottarga (tuna roe)  as  I mentioned how much I had enjoyed it on a previous visit.

Great wine list with excellent house wine.

Not cheap but then true quality never is.

Edit 16.04 Another amazing experience and tastes! I had the soup with noodles and chicken and the prawns for starter. Delicious. Also Marina was super helpful. We'll done guys!

Loved it!!! I went with my cousin for lunch. We ordered Vegan Singapore laksa and blackened monks noodles.
Worth every penny, taste was bang on, decent portions and cocktails were really good too. Great experience - highly recommend!

Trust me you won’t get disappointed, full of  flavour and test with excellence of the presentation combined will made your day. Plus the ambience was perfect. Our servers were really polite and helpful. I will definetley come back again

We had a great experience at Banana Tree Islington. The food was delicious, it tasted fresh and so well presented. My favourite was the Laksa soup for starter. There are so many vegan options and variety of vegan alternatives (vegan pieces, tofu and another one I don't remember).  Prices are OK, I would expect a little less. Also 2 for 1 cocktails.

I didn't like the other picture so here's a new post... Honey roasted duck breast with apricots, jersey royals potatoes. I normally never eat duck, but glad I tried this. Yes, it's pink in the middle 😲

I’m still buzzing from my lovely and delicious meal from The newly opened The Great Chase. It is the ONLY FULLY HALAL restaurant in Zone 1 London, It’s also fine dining. There is only halal served and NO ALCOHOL on the menu or allowed 🍴 
The restaurant has only been open for 2.5 weeks, currently in it’s soft launch not officially opened. During this time you can walk in and get 20% off or pre-book and get 30% as long as you mention the offer.

The food is a contemporary take on traditional British and European dishes. The ingredients are top quality you can tell with each bite that the standards are high. You don’t need to add crazy spices to get flavours when the quality of the meat and cooking is this good. They have a great ethos of sourcing foods locally .  I really have to tip my hat to the owners. Well done 👏

Everything I ate was great. The Chicken was so soft and tender, how they managed this with chicken breast really baffled me, this is what you get when you use Free-range, corn-fed chicken it gives a notable mark of quality. The same goes for the Duck breast. 
It's so rare to see a restaurant that offers up halal eaters a chance experience this type of cuisine. The food here is different and might be a first time for some readers. However, I really want to encourage you to go

I really could write for longer but just want this to be a quick post. Full review to follow. The menu is limited to 4 starters and  4 mains due to the soft launch.

The Great Chase

Visited this place for a special occasion and was an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

The service was friendly, prompt and just had a really homely feel to it.

Had a beef taco that tasted lovely, a great array of flavours. The prawns also tasted great, loved the crispiness.

I had fish for the mains that tasted fresh, which surprised me.

The dessert as well had a lovely contrasting taste of flavours.

Really creative meals combined with a lovely service and homely setting makes for an enjoyable experience.

Personally, I do feel that due to the pricing, this is a special occasion type of place. But, I certainly can’t complain about the quality of the food.

Highly recommend.

6 stars. Could not fault this place one single bit from the second we stepped in. Everything from the food to the service was impeccable, every single mouthful was an explosion of flavour. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful. Timings between food servings were absolutely spot on to allow the taste buds to refresh for a brand new palate. A true fine-dining experience.

Took my family to eat here for the Sunday roast. This is the full end to end experience. Wonderful and cosy venue elegantly designed. Food which is delicious and cooked with so much attention to detail. And magnificent customer service. Because it's not a huge venue you feel properly looked after and not rushed. Take the people you value there because it's that kind of place. Book in advance though because they fill up fast !

I went there with my wife for my birthday, I had the surf and turf, lamb rack and the bakwell. The surf and turf was a good start to the meal with a wide verity of different flavour, this starter has a prawn and scallops as well and lamb included in a nest of vermicelli.

The lamb rack was cooked we'll the the sources that came with it were very nice. The crumble also tasted really good with the ice cream that it came with the hot and cold contrast was a good touch, the pudding wasn't too sweet.

The drinks were very good, the staff know which drinks go well with which meal so make sure you ask for a recommendation.

It was a good experience, and all the meats are halal.

I was served by Kathy who was a great host.

We went on Sunday and had the chicken and beef roast. I really loved the different flavours that the roast included. It wasn't just some veg cooked in butter, but you could really taste the flavour they have put into the veg. The chicken was a bit tough but nonetheless still very flavourful. The beef was sirloin so not the best cut. But still great flavours. The drinks where great and had amazing taste to it. We got their weekend desserts as well that was very well presented and tasted great. Everything is halal and the owners took great care in explaining this and also seemed very passionate about their product. Only thing I'd say is that it was a bit pricey, for two of us the bill came up over £90, but you pay for the quality and service I guess.

Will go again probably for the regular menu next time.

We only use halal meat in all of our exquisite dishes. Completely alcohol free.

Honest Burgers King's Cross

I love honest burger. They have really Good Gluten Free Options not just bread for your burger but also many different sides that are gluten free. There are so many great combinations to choose from, although most of the time I just like to keep it simple and focus on the quality of the meat itself.

I have visited multiple honest burger restaurants and this is probably my favourite a great location and a good place to go to escape from St Pancreas if you are nearby.

Absolute best vegan burger I've had in my life and the best vegetarian burger I've ever had. I spent 2 weeks in London and on my first night picked up the vegan bacon burger for take away. It was incredible. The vegan bacon on that burger has the best texture of any vegan bacon I've ever had. Then, on my last night in London I dined in at the establishment and had the bbq burger that was the special of the day except I subbed the meat and bacon with their vegan patty and vegan bacon. It was delicious. Also worth mentioning, their mint lemonade is perfection!

First time eating in this restaurant and I was really impressed. The food was excellent, burgers are not the hardest thing to cook but they are so often done poorly. Staff were excellent as well, so much so that my 5 year old niece drew a picture of the waitress and they put it in the wall. Very kind

The BEST burgers we have ever had! My partner and his friends are burger mad and we’ve been to pretty much every burger bar available and I wasn’t jumping for joy to go to another for a friends birthday. But Honest burgers were absolutely gorgeous. Everything was sooooo tasty!!!! And the staff were 10/10, so lovely and welcoming. Cannot recommend this place enough. Definitely return here when we’re back in London without a doubt!!

They do burgers....they do them extremely well, cooked to perfection and taste divine. One of the best burgers I have ever had.
The rosemary fries were exactly that, you could taste the rosemary and were excellent. Also had a side order of onion rings which were again brilliant.
Staff very friendly and manged to sit inside as it was quite cold, only a small indoor seating area but lots of out door seating about that is covered. If you want a good burger and in the area.....I would only come here as food, quality, service and value were top notch.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

YORI (King's Cross)

Just can’t get enough of the food we ordered in this restaurant. The cheesy tteokbokki was flavourful and just had the right spice and sweetness. The vegetable pajeon had the crisp and softness to it. The pork belly that arrived on our table looked really fresh, and tasted so delicious when grilled. Overall, it was just a satisfying experience. Side dishes were authentic. The staff are really nice and attentive, too. Definitely a place to come back again.

It was my first time having Korean BBQ and I honestly have to say it was the best meal ever! The staff was kind and attentive, the food was delivered quickly to our table and delicious! While the restaurant is small it only added to the experience of being personally attended to! I had the beef BBQ selection and once I come back, I will be having it again. This place is not to be missed! One thing I do recommend is that you book beforehand since this place could get very busy in the evenings and most especially at weekends.

A small Korean restaurant, cramped. I just imagine if the place was full how tight it would have been.
I was expecting a lot more atmosphere but a good time was had.

The food experience was good.
We ordered the Yori barbeque selection and the steak was sublime.

YORI King’s Cross was an lovely experience overall. It was very booked up, be sure to reserve in advance, yet the staff were kind and quick. Got the Yori Selection BBQ, I’d say some of the meat was lacking flavour and the portions for the price were less than anticipated, but the fresh lettuce and sides to make ssam made up for it. Wish the rice was included in the Selection but oh well! Would recommend overall :)

We really enjoyed the Korean BBQ, fried chicken, kimchi pancake and soup. Comfortable seating. Friendly service. I will definitely visit again.

It is my favourite corner in London now 🖤 Went here on Christmas Eve Day and the place is absolute 10/10. The cake and latte is great, but it is the environment that makes it my top favourite. It is a small corner where you can have a cup of tea, some nice cakes with peace. The only thing is you can’t work within the bar, but the garden outside is a great place for work, though it closes a bit earlier though.

Gorgeous tea shop with a fantastic range of exquisite teas I had never tried before. Gorgeous tea ware, knowledgeable and friendly staff and all beautifully served.

An elegant and relaxed place with quality teas and a few healthy sweet treats. Full of oriental experiences. Highly recommend.

Nice tea bar focused on Korean teas. Secret place at the back! :)

Black & cinnamon tea with oat milk - a must try! Definitely can't get more autumnal than this. Grabbed a tin for myself on the way out :)

The tea garden at the back is very cosy, a secluded spot great for spending time sipping tea and conversing with loved ones,  but do make a reservation, it is tiny.

As I was saying the whole experience couldn't get any better, I heard ambient music playing through the speakers - impeccable. 10 out of 10.

Amazing food, drinks and the most lovely staff!! Came here for date night and we will most definitely be back. All the food was so yummy and surprisingly reasonably priced. Recommend if you’re in the city, super close to Farringdon station. The manager even gave me a free shot for my birthday :)

This used to be my favourite place for lunch when it was a Turkish grill  I was gutted when it changed to this new guise but having had lunch in the new place I was very impressed.  Food was very tasty and well priced. The refreshed interior is a great improvement.  All in all a big thumb's up.

Food was very great I loved the steak. Cocktails were just right. Food came quickly. Perfect atmosphere. Hostess was very lovely and polite. Staff was very good as well they know their jobs.

Very nice restaurant with lovely decor. Rumi the hostess was welcoming and all the staff really attentive. There were a lot of options on the menu and the food is plentiful so make sure you turn up hungry! The manager was really sweet and let us know where he gets the dates which are the best we've had!

Very nice food the meat was perfect . Very lovely cocktails and staff was very efficient and welcomed. I am recommending to everyone. I loved the food and price was reasonable too. Hostess was great and polite very lovely lady.
I will upload some of the prices from the food I had.
Will be back again. I had lovely Friday night!
