Rasoi is a family run business led by Mr Khan, who was an ex-chef at Tayyabs, London. The eatery is fairly new having only been open for 4 weeks. Here they serve up delicious Bangladeshi cuisine. The restaurant provides an extensive menu, with lots of options at reasonable prices, making it ideal for families.

We ordered the small mixed grill, lamb chops starters, chicken jalfrezi with butter naan, lamb biryani and the orange and mango mojitos.

The lamb chops were charred, juicy and tender. There could have been more flavour from the marinade but we still enjoyed these! The small mixed grill was a good size and along with the rest of the food was enough for the two of us to share. The chicken tikka in particular was really juicy and tender.

The mains especially were excellent value for money given their size. The biryani included lots of tender meat which was fragrant. The jalfrezi was certainly not for the faint hearted as it was spicy, but equally packed a punch of a flavour too - we enjoyed this dish the most and it was a great accompaniment to the soft fluffy butter naan.

The orange mocktail was perfectly refreshing. We enjoyed the mango mocktail too but it was a little on the sweeter side therefore wouldn’t be for everyone.

Customer service was great and food arrived quickly.

The food is really delicious we enjoyed it and we will definitely be back

Brown Sugar Bubble Tea

The shop is amazing! I ordered a mango bubble tea with mango boba; it was so refreshing and accurate to the actual fruit! The drink also had real mango pieces which added a nice bite. The staff were very friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend visiting here.

Been to loads over the last few year, but have to say, Brown Sugar is in my top rankings, i mostly have Golden tea as its my local, but tried so many others Brown Sugar and Golden Tea is my favourites. Keep up the good work next am in East side will defo visit.

I was wandering around and thought this was an indian tea shop but they said it was bubble tea. I've never tried it so I thought why not. It was very delicious and good. Definitely recommend. I am now a bubble tea fan!

Very fresh and delicious food. Generous amount of grill and rice. Very pleased with their service. Would definitely buy again and recommend to everyone. I am so happy with price and got 20% discount for order and collection service. Best Turkish in the town.

We ordered a takeaway today and a big order for the family consisting of the jumbo platters. The food was fresh and made to perfection, could not fault anything! Plus everything we ordered was there and we did not have a missing item. It was generous portions and all the condiments! Junaid was very helpful and gave us excellent service.
Highly recommend the platters and the lamachuns. Sauces and bread are also lovely plus the salad!

The Baklava was soo good I couldn't stop talking about it, it was soft unlike most which are crunchy but I enjoyed it very much.

I'm going to start off with a special mention to Erisa who went above and beyond to ensure our food came quickly and we received everything. Super attentive and professional, I would give her five stars alone. I ordered a family special and the quantity of the meat, also the accompaniments were just so nourish, naan bread was delicious too. They are all just perfectly cooked. Great experience and 100% would recommend it. Keep up the good work!!!!

Food: After much deliberation (there’s a lot on the menu!) we decided to order the Tower Burger and Blue Cheese Beef Melt. Both burgers, to our dismay, were cooked too much and were quite dry. The Lamb Chops were good and so was the Mac n Cheese. In term of Cheesy Chips, we prefer cheese sauce rather than sprinkled cheddar melted in the oven/microwave. The Mocktails were our favourite, the Pina Colada was especially tasty.
Service: service was good but a bit slow.

Welcoming staff, so was a great start. The waiters moved us from what was initially a comfortable table to a much larger one to allow us to sit comfortably. Atmosphere was nice, music a little loud but okay. Staff were very friendly and helpful, recommending dishes as we went along. Whilst taking photos, the waitress had a light shining on us ready for photography.
I really enjoyed the company of my friends who I hadn’t seen for 18 months due to work commitments. We were celebrating a promotion a friend had. Overall the food was okay. Nothing special considering the costs (£153 for 3 started, mains and beverages).

I may return however given the extensive selection here in London, probably try elsewhere. Icing on the top was a parking ticket, beware how you park.

Great Experience, the staff are ever so polite. Excellent approach from the moment you enter, very friendly. The steak 🥩 was great, presentation is excellent. We tried the 24k gold blue beef burgers, 24k gold steak, Elvet Treasure Box with a surprise drink 🍹 was overwhelming. Complimentary Dessert after the meal. All staff were great can’t remember all the names, I can remember Sultan was like a personal service. Thank you

Steak was really good & it’s a nice place to visit if you don’t mind spending money and want to treat yourself. They also have a good gluten free menu which is unfortunately not common for most halal restaurants. Drinks were good too. Lamp chops were a bit disappointing but everything else was tasty. As for the not so great stuff, I received a reservation confirmation from them via email but they then tried to call me a few times to take a deposit. I had missed these calls and when I eventually called back they said they needed a deposit to secure the table, but I was under the impression from the email I received that it was confirmed. Maybe they should request a deposit through the email and make it clearer that it isn’t confirmed until a deposit is paid because this is slightly misleading. Also the music was quite loud and it was hard for the waiter to hear what we were asking him. He was confused about gluten free options as the menu had changed recently but staff should be aware of allergens regardless of when or how often the menu changes. Overall a good experience and great to have a fully halal restaurant with this level of quality.

Absolutely Excellent customer service. Very attentive towards everyone of us. We were all pleasantly surprised at the tenderness in the meat and clean presentation.
With the beautifully done decor area to take pictures, bubbly stuff and food that rlly speaks for itself - they’ve definitely ticked all my boxes.
Will definitely come again when I want to experience Halal fine dining with my special someone.

Haven’t been here for a while. And I can say it’s definitely been worth the wait drinks and food was amazing. We was served by Biggie who recommended the drinks to us. Was very helpful as he asked us what we like and don’t like to give us the best options on the menu. Will definitely be returning to try the other stuff on the menu. Thank you Biggie for the lovely service today :)

Been there many times, I used to go there regularly back in 2005-6ish when they used have sheesha, before smoking ban. Place used to look grotty as hell, but one thing, their grill chicken was something else, absolutely delicious. Been there recently couple of times and I’m happy that they maintained same quality on their grilled chicken and the place has improved a bit so all good. Highly recommended for food but don’t expect Michelin star restaurant service, other that all good and will return again.

It's 2.20 am I was call in restaurant to prepare my Food- Chicken Sharma. I check in restaurant at 2.30 am and sit in restrurant for food. Almost 20 mins later waiter tell me there are no chance to Eat in here. Because, they will close 3.00 am. I told them I order the food 2.20 am and check in 2.30 am. Almost 20 mins waiting and you failed to serve the food! Now, you told me to just take out, it's really rude and manarless behaviour. Seems like kick out customers. I am really upset and not recommend this restrurant. Manarless staff and rude guy's.

This place is 1hour away from my house, on my friends recommendation I went to Zu’s I would rate them 5star reason for this is food was amazing and one of the best in London. Food was really delicious and very friendly staff. Sam (owner) took me in the kitchen to show how the food is prepared everything is freshly made and very clean place. Good place for families.

Once upon a time, this used to be a restaurant and shisha place. More shisha than food really. As times change, the shisha has gone, and it is all about the food.

They serve turkish style and indian dishes. The mixed shawarma is lovely. The chicken kofte is very nice too. I love the chilli sauce.

Based on the busy Green Street. Seats around 35 people. Halal food, good quality and a wide range of options.

Ordered three platters the other day. I saw the menu online and the platter was £28 each. I called up and placed the order. They said, collection will be £26 each (£78). I thought that was great. After bringing the food back I noticed there where no chips (should have had 3 portions according to their website) so called them and they said, collection doesn’t come with chips and it’s the delivery order that comes with chips. That, to me, is confusing. I didn’t mind paying the £2 extra for the chips if they had told me that I wouldn’t get chips… I thought collecting food always had a reward as opposed to delivery. Anyway, they weren’t having it and kept saying, it’s delivery only… the kids had no chips so I was annoyed about that, hence my review. Otherwise the food was pretty good.

Also, it said lamb or chicken shawarma. Turns out they don’t do lamb shawarma anymore.

Time to update your website lads. But when it comes to money, ooh, that needs immediate attention…

Grill O Chicken

I ordered the doner kebab meal- which is the kebab and chips. Drinks are an extra cost. I didn’t mind as prices are fair. The portion was generous and the food was really tasty.

Good local takeaway. The owners have changed, the original guys were better to be fair. However, the food is still to a good standard.

They sell pizzas, lamb burgers, chicken burgers, wings, chips. The grilled chicken is their best offering. If you ask for extra soupy, they will pour some extra chilli marinade in the foil bag they put the chicken in. Then you tip out the chicken, and put your chips in the sane bag. Fold the bag, give it a good shake, you have, you have now got your own chilli chips!

The food is HMC inspected and certified.

Customer service is very good. We ate in the shop seated on cushioned chairs. The tray was unclean as as most shops in the area and they used one half sized grease paper to cover the tray where the food was put on.

Food: Ordered two chicken burger meals late in the night and they accommodated us just before their closure.

They made both meals fresh. 🍟 Unfortunately the chips were visibly overdone and it reflected in the taste - slightly bitter as though it's burnt.

🍔 The burger was in the same category of its cooking, over done and the thin parts (of different thickness) was hard as rock as opposed to crunchy. The thicker parts of the burger was ok.

They offered us lemon hand freshers both before and after meal which reflected their great customer service.

Ordered the fillet of fire meal which is not too spicy but a good flavour. Nice chcken fillets in burger bun.

The vegetable burger meal is on point for vegetarians. Well cooked and served well.

Really good chips which are medium thick, crispy and fluffy in the centre.

Lots of meals to choose from such as chicken, burgers, kebabs and grilled peri peri meals.

Good speedy service and food hygiene is on point.

Plenty of seating if you want to dine in.

They clean the grills and kitchen area well so the food hygiene is on point.

Excellent burgers. I tried the PB&J, Double smash and NYC. Patties were done to perfection and burgers were rich in taste.

Getting the ratio right in a burger makes all the difference. I'm tempted to return and see I they do as good a job with their chicken burgers!

Finally Green Street has a decent restaurant. I grew up here and there was absolutely nothing to eat apart from the run down restaurants. My family throughly enjoyed their food. The burgers were full of flavour and the chips were cooked to perfection. The staff were extremely friendly and polite. Keep up the good work!

Small burger place in Green street. Local parking is easy enough- decent seating area and decor- no music when we went there- wide range of burgers and sides- had the double smash burger meal costs £10- burger is a bit small and no veg inside so quite squishy- fries standard- and sauces only supplied as single sachets-  still hungry afterwards so had the Mac burger- smaller burger with even smaller patties- taste is decent enough for both but better burger places out there

Generally not a fan of burgers but this was excuse the pun, a smashing burger. The smash style burger has a unique taste which beats all gourmet burgers. The fries are amazing And I could easily had two portions.

Lastly service was top drawer, extremely friendly and attentive.

Honestly don't know why I left it so late to leave a good review. But if you're into a GOOD smash burger this is the place to eat at. Food is always delivered fresh and hot, chips always crispy. Been eating here since it first opened and the quality has remained top notch. Their smash burgers are the best.

Last weekend my wife and I were looking for a new breakfast spot and after a bit of searching she found @querkycafe
Which happens to be Halal so we decided to give them a go. They have 3 locations so we decided to visit the closest one to us in Forest Gate. 

When we got there I was a little surprised to find such a small cafe.. However they told me to walk down the side which lead us to a lovley secret indoor garden dining area. 

The menu has the Classic English breakfast as well a low carb Keto Breakfast option as well and there's also some brunch options like chicken N waffles. 

We went for a Big Breakfast which was actually enough for the 2 of us, all fresh and well made in particular the hash brown. You can also swap out items, we swapped the turkey rashers for grilled Halloumi.

Been a while since I had chicken N waffles and I enjoyed this dish. I was expecting something premade but the waffle and chicken tasted fresh and homemade. 

Ordering and payment is done via your phone and the system worked well. The staff were genuinely friendly and service was good. 

There's no fruit juices on the menu and no eggs Royale etc style dishes but, they have smoothies and other options. 

I'll definitely be back again. All food halal. No alcohol. I paid for my meal and was not invited.

Querky Cafe

I am spending a couple of months with my dad in London and Querky Cafe in Forest Gate has become my favorite place for a good and delicious meal whether it’s breakfast or lunch.  The customer service is wonderful.  The wait staff is awesome and treats me like a valuable customer.  They greet me when I arrive at the restaurant. I love the latte and the classic French toast is delicious!  I love the choice of music and it is never too loud.  Love it!!

What can I say? Just absolutely brilliant! Hidden Gem in the heart of East London. Beautiful coffee shop. Homely and Cozy environment. Went there for morning breakfast with kids. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff were extremely polite and welcoming. Thank you.   Me and kids loved it. Will definitely revisit. I highly recommend it if you are looking for something local with good food and cozy environment.

This cafe was such a cute place but I ordered a vegan breakfast and it came with eggshells. Which put me off my food. The lady was super helpful and we sorted it out. The next item I felt  safe to eat were  the chips which was yummy until I found some hair on them! I was really disappointed and wouldn’t go back again.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly! Enjoyed the food so much and took some home as the portions were quite big and good value! Definitely recommend this place for anyone craving traditional brunch or lunch food.

Love this place. Great coffee and brunch options including French toast and a full English. It's completely halal too. Prices are quite good too.

Have been going since it was opened and haven’t stopped! Food is always delicious and fresh. Never been disappointed. One the best Indian food in East London and would highly recommend.

Despite the negative reviews left on here I attended the restaurant with my friend for her birthday , we was so shocked about the service not only was it fast and Efficient the Staff were very friendly. Hygiene was 5 star. Customer service is great. Lovely restaurant . You really can’t be disappointed by the food here it was so fresh and devine . Very good value for money . If your ever in green street I definitely recommend popping in this restaurant it really is worth the hype !

Food was decent. The best thing I had there was the strawberry mojito. The meat curry was nice however, butter chicken was unusually sweet, wouldn’t recommend getting that. Mixed grill was fine, but the chicken was burnt. I guess it’s because they must’ve cooked it too quickly.

As for staff, extremely rude and unwelcoming except for one or two who were polite. We felt like they were pushing us out. Customer service not even worth one star. 👎🏽 fix up.

We went when it wasn't so busy so had a good experience, might be different when it's packed.
The food was good, really enjoyed the chicken on the mixed grill especially. The lamb was nice and the veg dish probs could have done with less onions. Service and quick and efficient.
