Taco Taco

Went for the Prime Beef Corn (gluten free) Taco which was fresh and delicious. The fillings were amazing and the ambience in the place was cool. I’m Gluten free and they had so many options for me on their menu. 100% recommend.

Had the salmon and prawn tacos. Super tasty. With the side of crispy corn. Properly one of the best tacos I’ve had! Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Seriously delicious, fresh, fast, friendly and Knowledgeable staff happy to recommend but not pushy at all. Clean and fun!

This is a new Taco restaurant in the heart of East London. Premises opened on 15/09/2023. My visit was on 18/09/23

To get to this restaurant, you’re looking at a 11-13 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station. Overground, Central Line, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Circle & District Lines (Underground Tube)

Firstly, I like to start off by saying that Michael and his brother, were very, very hospitable and a very warm, excellent customer service from the outset.

Okay, so what was purchased.

Peruvian Chicken, Mayan Veggie Bites, Salmon Poke, Mayan Veggie Bites, Corn Elote Salad

Was kindly given a few freebies; Albajores

I’m going to be brutally honest about each Taco flavour and to manage expectations, don’t expect an authentic Mexican Taqueria (lugar de tacos)

Peruvian Chicken - very dry and no seasoning on the pulled chicken. Have suggested to do a Birria style pull chicken

Prawn Star - no citrus balance and most definitely no Smokey prawns. Think naked prawn cocktail.

Mayan Veggie Bites - this was the sleeper hit Taco for me. However, the only criticism i have is the flavours are not Mayan related, more Asian theme. So have suggested to what ingredients that the Mayan ancient civilisation did use; i.e. Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, etc.

Salmon Poke - I’d customised mine and made it slightly better. The salmon has no soy sauce marination or citrus tone. A vital  ingredient to use for salty, acidity tones to the profile of the taco. Have suggested to use Ponzu sauce marination for the Salmon.

Corn Elote Salad - regrettably this needs an overhaul for its recipe. It was to me just corn in mayonnaise with a sprinkling of seasoning which doesn’t assist the corn whatsoever. This side was very weak.

Albajores (Freebie) - lack of filling and very, very dry when consumed. It zaps away any moisture you have in your mouth.

Beverage selection was okay. Had a raspberry lemonade. This is branded and not in house made.

They have a disabled toilet.

Parking will be somewhat difficult to find.

They will be opening a second location in Covent Garden.

An interesting concept but still requires some tweaks here and there on their food menu. Don’t know how many food tasting samples they had prior to launch?

Decent spot for lunch. More on the pricier side out of the spitalfields foods.

The chicken and curry was delicious. Very tender and well cooked chicken. Curry sauce was well spiced. Not too salty and not insanely hot. Great for universal taste. I expected more from the pilau rice. I’m no pilau rice expert but have tried enough a few to determine it missed something. Maybe a hint of another spice or a garnish.

Service was also friendly and people were very helpful.

The menu might have been a bit confusing but might just be me being very unaware of the foods.

Worth a try if you love trying all south Asian foods in town.

I travel and lived several years in Pakistan, and tandoori dishes was always a unique dinning experience over for me. I can say without any doubts that the tandoori chicken that I had here, brought me back to my unforgettable time in Lahore! Was amazing, thank you so much for this, was a present for me and my wife.

The Chicken Briyani is not bad here. Nothing extraordinary, but it certainly does not taste bad. We ordered the spicy fries, which I would rate slightly above average. Ignore the soup dumplings in the photo; they were purchased from Dumpling Shack.

I ate the half tandoori chicken.
I got a lot of chickenmeat and a lot of rice.
I loved it! I'm lucky to have found a place to sit within the market itself, in which this foodplace is situated.
The staff was very friendly, kind, helpfull and fast.
I definitely recommend this place!

Delicious Masala Dosa and Mango Lassi!! Fantastic group lunch in Spitalfields, Shoreditch. Great commitment to sustainability as well - they have joined junee so you can get your lunch in a reusable bowl! Definitely recommend on all levels.

Excited to try this place after hearing good review but I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves. Look how pink the chicken is, how is this acceptable for a place that’s so popular??

Service was great and quick. The chicken tasted delicious but they we’re out of grilled vegetables so I asked for two helpings of salad. For £9.95 I expected a decent and nice salad, I ended up with just lettuce. Although the food tasted nice I don’t think it was good value for money so I probably wouldn’t visit again. I can get a bag of lettuce for a £1 in Tesco

No longer as good as it used to be since they moved to London wall (east cheap branch is way better if you want to visit a location). I’ve visited this branch 3 times in the last year hoping they would impress me but it’s just the green sauce they’re living of. The veg/chicken were cold.

The chicken is tasty, the rice, potatos, veg and salad is average, but the chicken is the main star of the meal. I like the green sauce and hot sauce on top. All in all its a great lunchtime option. My only real negative is that it's a bit pricy at £10.

The food is fresh and the home-made sauce is very tasty. Although I doubt there is any difference between normal and large portion. Some people in the queue also complained about the same thing. Just order the normal portion.

Chicken is Halal and HFA certified. Pork is served but prepared and handled separately to prevent cross-contamination.

Patty&Bun - Liverpool Street

Nice place. The atmosphere around me was buzzing, music pumped up- a bit too much for my liking. The chips were very good, the vegan chicken tenders had salt sprinkled on top~ was no need for this, the salt dominated the flavour of the tender and accompanying chilli and lime vegan mayo, which by itself was beautifully balanced.
Maybe the meat options is where it’s at..? Still I think this is a great place to start a good night. Service was great.

Table service and atmosphere were fine, however the food could have been better overall. In particular, the chips/fries with chicken skin salt were not just salty but excessively so i.e. more or less coated with salt; even my partner who adds salt to virtually every meal agreed with me on this, so we find that to be saying something.

It was a passable experience as a convenient bite to eat outside of Liverpool Street station, but we probably wouldn't visit again.

Never disappoints- Lambshank Redemption Burger!!! I will risk a statement - Best Lamb Burger 🍔 I ever had!! The composition is just banging, aubergine, courgettes, feta just a pure explosion of flavors in my mouth 💥 Rosemary chips were great, made from fresh potatoes 🥔 with skin on it huge portion. One thing I was quite disappointed about was pricing, and fact that even though it’s not in their special burger menu set, it didn’t apply to lunch meal deal?! Why? Total with chips & soda £17+ 🙃please include it in your lunch deal.

Stopped by for an early dinner on my way from the airport - really good food. Service was very quick but it was also near empty so may differ. Cute decor and cocktail offers available, as well as student discount lunch deals.

Our lamb and chicken is Halal at all locations. Our beef is Halal at Kingly and James St.

If you are up this way, this place is certainly worth a stop.  Right in the heart of the City of London, you can get an excellent Chicken and Sticky Rice meal for under 7 Pounds.   They even offer you a glass for all the water you can drink.  Food is attractively laid out, tasty and the staff and wonderful.  Its become  my new favourite place to eat in London!

FANTASTIC PRICES and GREAT FOOD. Just like they have it in Japan. Probably the best value quality food you can get in London and some of the most authentic udon as well. Can’t recommend enough. Also has this little unlimited refill bar with water, spring onions, ginger etc.

Tried rice with slices of chicken as well as gyoza with vegetables and fried chicken. Tasted good, so I have eaten the whole portion, but nothing special at the same time :) Seems to be a good food.
Worth mentioning great interior, nice lighting and quick service. Lots of space to seat-in🪑Unlimited soda refill🥤

Second time I've been here and never have I been disappointed, the restaurant is clean, bright and fresh. I can't remember the name of the dish I had, but it has 2 pork slices, a light spicy pork mincemeat, a egg and slices of spring onions and udon noodles. The staff are great and friendly. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves noodles.

Tried the infamous Udon Place. We waited about 10 minutes but you get a tray and order your food choice. It was really good and it’s a lot cheaper than most places! The only disappointing thing is the battered chicken (it was cold) but everything else was good for a quick brunch! Would visit again for the Udon!

P.s. My brother ordered large and it was too large.

All our chicken is from a Halal supplier. However, whilst products are prepared separately due to our open kitchen and fresh prep we cannot guarantee there is no risk of cross contamination within our kitchens. Please also note that all fried meat and seafood are fried in the same fryer. We have a separate fryer for vegan products.

Please also note mirin and soy sauce are used in a number of our dishes which contain alcohol.

Fen Noodles

Every time I’m in London I have to get these noodles! They’re so so good, you can taste they’re freshly made and very authentic. Just be careful with the spice level. Although I usually handle spicy food quite well, the normal version is almost a bit too much for me. I’d definitely recommend choosing less spice if you can’t handle it well!

I asked for an extra chilli oil on my garlic aubergine thin noodles and oh gosh … it was tongue numbing hot. I find the portion to be too small for the price £9.50. I didn’t enjoy the dish as much as I expected. Would not get it again.

Got the aubergine handpulled noodles and they’re really good! Very very garlicky and the Aubergine is really soft
But: it is incredibly spicy!! I had to stop halfway through and take the rest home because it was so spicy. Hands down the spicest food I have ever had.

Four stars instead of five because I’ve had handpulled noodles before and the other ones were slightly better. Also: it’d be good to actually note how spicy the noodles are because it made it difficult for me to enjoy them. Had I known, had I chosen “less spicy”

Beef noodles with Biangbiang were excellent. I like the lamb bbq too. Perfect lunch place. Recommend it

Wow! I did not expect a noodle place in a touristy place in London to be this good. I got a mix aubergine and lamb noodle. The noodles were chewy and fresh. The spice packed a punch but you could taste other flavors. Really excellent for the price too.

Update May 2022: they no longer have lamb. It's just beef now. I tried the flank steak and it tasted low quality. The noodles are still chewy/delicious but the sauce and the meat wasn't good. Down rate to 3 stars

Amazing experience! The food was delicious!
Fresh, great flavour, great portions! My husband and I enjoyed the night. The wine recommended was great, the starters were delicious, the burger had great size, the Chateubriand was delicious with bone marrow, truffle chips and creamed spinach were amazing.

We also had the prawns, perfectly grilled juicy!
Dessert was really nice balanced! The apple crumble with blackberry was a great idea!

We will definitely go back for more!

On arrival our coats were taken and we were led to a nice booth which we were pleased with, the first thing we were told however was that the a la carte menu was not on offer, on the website we had checked out the NYE menu and would have preffered the a la carte for the steak options... (online it said you could choose)
Service was long. Like 3 hours for 2 set menus long.
At first I appreciated the time as we were eating and chatting and relaxing but eventually the wait times got exhausting and we didn't want to be sat there waiting any longer.
Overall I would say a set menu like the one we had probably didn't justify £85 a head. And we would have happily spent more than that on a really good steak experience. Little bit disappointed but I think they probably know as an experiment it didn't work, no kitchen wants such delays at finishing a cover.

Had a very nice meal here, unfortunately when we went early on a Saturday evening it was full of shouting, overly noisey hen parties, the staff were very nice and moved us to a quieter table away from the noisey prosecco filled females. Best to go during the week as you get the office staff from surrounding area and not so noisey. Staff very friendly and efficient, food was excellent. I would recommend eating here. And sorry to moan about the hens, but they were noisey.

The whole experience beginning to end was amazing. Zain was especially attentive and loved the background history John shared of the building. I would definitely being going again.

We had a reeealy delicious meal with absolutely excellent wine.

Yum Bun - Spitalfields Market

Ordered pork bun and chicken bun, very tasty! True Asian fusion :) the pork bun is bit similar to the Beijing duck approach. 9.5 pounds for 2 bun. Not too many choices but good enough for workday lunch. Only downside was the queue was too long during workday, had to wait 20+ min.

I do like this place, everybody loves the fluffy bao and this didn't dissapoint, had the bun box where you can mix n match 2 types of bun, comes with vege gyoza and a tasty slaw. I went for 1 fish, 1 pork...they were both really tasty pork won on flavour and those 2 were actually enough for lunch, quite filling..not soggy at all which can happen. Loved the variety and a deal, will be back!

So yummy! Got the pork bao & chicken bao. Tasted delicious, good value for money in my opinion, as I got the set of 2 (which I think cost £9.50? before discount) they also had a 15% NHS discount which was great! Love it and would definitely have it again.

Pork bun is really tasty. The soft bun coupled with savoury pork with hoisin sauce makes this petite bite a lethal combo. Also recommended to try the hot plum punch especially for cold weather.

Absolutely delicious mushroom bun! I thought I’d give the vegetarian bun a try and was pleasantly surprised by how flavourful and filling it was.

Lunch for 4 people - service was fantastic, speedy and delicious food. 1x plant burger = very happy vegan, 3x local burger = one of the best we've had at an honest burger! Dangerous to have it so close to the office...

The menu is nice and simple. Food is really tasty, and the onion rings are huge. I totally recommend it.

Great burgers and chips. There's a lot of space is very a chill atmosphere. Great place to work out of the office while having a meal.

When I woke up that fateful tuesday, I thought that the day would hold little more than the usual crowded monotony which one always expects in the concrete jungle of the city. Everything changed when I found myself wandering into honest burger after a hard day of reading figures. I do not hasten to use the hallowed term 'divine' in describing earthly pleasures, but surely in the case of this location and the burger experience it offers such extreme praise is warranted.

I give the restaurant a 5 outta 5 as they have one of the best burgers in London, absolutely outstanding, delicious, indulging, comforting and flavourful.
The staff were all friendly and smiling. A special thanks to our waitress Benedetta, who made our expiration really special!
High energy atmosphere and really good music playlist too. Will definitely be back!

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. The staff were polite, quick and efficient. The food and drinks arrived quickly and were freshly prepared. The burger and fries portion was big and very good value. I would recommend this place for a quick burger and fries.

Busy place, very fast paced. Delicious burgers, wasn't impressed with onion rings they were very oily. The best highlight was mint lemonade - the best lemonade I had.

This was an excellent honest experience. An extremely competent hostess, spacious and lovely inside and the best chips we've had at an honest burger this side of 2019. Delicious!

It's hard not to beat Honest, Honest is always fantastic and fills you up for sure. The only downside I'd say upon meeting was the service which wasn't fantastic. The staff upon a Sunday  wasn't great and had to urge the staff to serve us. Improving them would be great

The restaurant itself it’s beautiful, the food is amazing although a bit expensive in my opinion, but everything very fresh and full of flavour.
I recommend to try the pomegranate and orange lemonade, simply delicious and refreshing!
We ordered the mezzo platter for one and shared between 2, and was completely worthy.
The mains were delicious and next time I will be definitely leaving some space for deserts!

Loved the interiors, so beautiful, place was cosy and quiet.
Though on the day some dishes were out of stock, making our options limited being vegetarians.
Irrespective, we had good time.

The food was ok, not extraordinary. The service is really very slow, as it in office premises, no one would have that long to spend in. We had a meeting and we had to ask 3 times for mains. The tables are very close and small to accommodate everything.  We wanted to have baklava which was not available which was disappointing, they should strike it out in the menu if something is not available.

The decor is too good and gives a nice feeling. If they speed up service it will be great.

This place is a gem in the middle of a very busy area. Food and drinks are amazing, but what takes the crown is the service. Very friendly staff who will make you feel special and address all your requests.
The only reason I am giving this a 4 and not a 5 is that the ceiling was dripping (although) not much but still was somewhat a dampener (literally) on the evening.
Overall, very highly recommend.

Went there on a weekday evening after work! Ordered platter for each. Ambience was the only thing I really liked.
Food was okayish nothing special! Pricey for the kind of food served. Service was slow, had to wait for so long just to get the bill.

Naan Wrap

Ordered a rice box. Super over priced and flavourless.

Ordered a chicken rice box meal. There where two people working. One who took the order the other who was making the naans.

To make our order from already pre made food took serious amount of time which it should not have as there was no other customer.

The man who took my order was far more interested in his phone than packing my order. The other guy was busy making naans and when he was done ended up making my order which the guy who initially took the order could of done.

There seems to be a clear issue between these two people. They don’t even want to communicate and the lack of interest can be seen between them two.

I have uploaded a picture of the guy who took my order busy on his phone and the naan guy eventually making my order which the guy on the phone could of done. Their attitude is
Seriously affecting the business and I don’t see it lasting for long. They are in a prime spot to draw in customers from neighbouring business that are in long queues but loosing out.

One of the worst in Spitalfields. Naan was nice but very slow service for what was an overpriced and boringly flavoured chicken wrap. One person rolling dough, cooking naan and preparing the wraps when at one point there were 4 people behind the stall. The person taking orders kept on mindlessly taking more when none were being made. Rather than preparing the first order (mine) they chopped up another naan for samples which no one was eating. Only tried as a much better van had sold out, never again - waste of £8.50.

Ordered the chicken and paneer wrap. Really terrible, no sauce, making it very dry and no flavour from the chicken. You can find many better places in Spitalfields.

The Naan sample I tried was tasty and the staff were friendly but that was the good part.

I order a lamb meal with rice. The lamb was so salty, it was barely edible. The rice was stale and again barely edible too. The saving grace of the meal was the sauce. It made the meal palatable enough that I didn't throw it away from the get go.

I don't recommend this place at all. There are other options available nearby.

Nice chicken wrap, however slightly annoyed to have received a chicken wrap when I ordered a chicken and lamb wrap. There was no mention of this when I picked up the wrap - albeit a small mark on the receipt - and price is different to advertised.

We went here as a large group with children and went for the nice course taster. The food overall was really good particularly the, prawns, chicken and lamb biryani. It was priced very reasonably and we will definitely go back.
The service similarly was excellent and our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. No children's menu but there are child friendly dishes.

Nice location - great outdoor sitting area. We went for the set menu (9 dishes) - plenty of food! Food was full of flavours, prawns were a big hit! Grilled pink aubergine were lovely. Ordered a berry mocktail which tasted like vomit though.. overall nice place!

My first visit to this Michelin Star restaurant, I came to celebrate my wedding anniversary.
Once seated. It took some time for someone to take our order and that was then echoed throughout the meal.
Good service and attention is a real pet hate of mine.
The food was wow, we both loved how each dish was on point, full of flavour and we were so full at the end we couldn't move!
Will visit again, hopefully the service will have improved by then

I had the 9 course meal at both the Battersea and Shoreditch Cinnamon Kitchen and felt that the meal was better in Shoreditch Cinnamon Kitchen and cooked to perfection. However the service quality fell short as the waiter brought the wrong menu, took our order late and provided the bill 30 mins after it was requested at a non busy period only to find they were delaying it because they were chatting amongst themselves. Therefore I give it one star less. The chefs really carry the value of the restaurant.

Pizza Express

After spending £6.50 on a pint of larger close by, I needed to take stock of my life. A pizza was the cure! Even though it was packed, we got sat and served soon as we sat. Pizza as always, was thin and crispy, and super lovely. Close to Liverpool St station.

No, this was not good.
We ordered one pizza to go. Took almost 40 min to get it. Was told 20/25 min.

The pizza didn’t look good, I ordered thin and crispy but it was soggy. Nothing of the ingredients stood out. Was like a child meal. And almost 20 pounds for one pizza to go. Think that is very overpriced…

Why not one star is because the staff was actually super nice and friendly.

The food was decent enough. The staff was friendly. The price was quite high relative to previous two statements.

Fabulous gluten free, vegan pizza.  Would recommend this Pizza Express to any coeliac or vegan looking for somewhere to dine.  The staff were super friendly -  drinks, pizza and dessert served quickly and the bill very reasonable. Wonderful night out.

I love pizza express so I went here with my family for a  birthday and it wasn’t a good experience. We had a pizza and two pastas, we only received one pasta and it was the wrong one and the pizza was cold. The staff were pleasant and the desserts were nice enough but the main course wasn’t worth the price. I noticed that we weren’t the only ones complaining as all the tables sitting next to us also received the wrong food so I definitely wouldn’t recommend it for a main meal

PizzaExpress has used halal-slaughtered chicken for several years, but we have never been able to offer a finished dish that was Halal-certified, due to the presence of pork and other non-halal meats in our restaurants and as our kitchens do not operate halal procedures.

Whilst our previous suppliers provided halal slaughtered chicken, it was never our policy for that to be our only option. Since the launch of our Autumn Menu on the 21st September our chicken now comes from accredited suppliers that use both non-halal and halal slaughter methods, because we have recently increased our sourcing options on chicken to ensure continuity of supply during the current challenges within all supply chains.

Where halal slaughter is used, the animals are stunned before slaughter. All our meat suppliers are approved by the Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standards, a globally renowned safety standard and, all comply with EU or local animal welfare regulations.

If asked our teams in restaurants are trained to provide customers with accurate menu and ingredient information. In addition, this information is available on the customer support section of our website.

Please be aware that none of our other meats are halal and we do not have any halal kitchens or restaurants.

Moshi Moshi Sushi

Hidden inside the train station, the place looks like a nice Japanese restaurant with the option to order from a classic table or from the more traditional rotating platform.

Tempura was ok, nothing special and tasted more like European fried food rather than a Japanese tempura. The Teriyaki Chicken was really good with amazing flavor. Sushi was very well made too.

It’s an hidden gem in the Station! can’t believe we’ve been living in the area for 8 years and didn’t know about this place! Came in quite late so had to wait a bit before getting a table. Not the most welcoming service but they were understaffed and they all look very tired. It’s a hard time for both retail and hospitality so it’s understandable.

It was a party of three and we all agreed that the tempura was a big disappointment. It wasn’t crispy at all… the meat was mushy. We ordered a £50 worth of sushi bowl. It looks pretty good for the price. To my asian standard the fish are not very fresh. Tuna look a bit off but the taste were alright. Had to remove a star for the food quality.

The setting though!!!! So cool and special!!! I love it so much I wanted to meet and shake hands with the designer 😂 Love love love the layout, it shows the vide of an authentic Japanese bar. Some seats can overlook the train station meanwhile some have these high ceiling wood interior designs. The layout give some good privacy. Recommended for gathering or a date night to impress.

For the food quality, service and price, Moshi Moshi is an average 3 out of 5. It’s got a lot of things going for it but simply doesn’t deliver the experience you’d expect.

When ordering, the waiter having to ask the chef if there was 3-kinds of sashimi available was a red flag (this was on a Thursday at around 7pm). The sashimi that arrived was dismal for £16. Moreover during the dining experience, a dish was mixed up and another never came. The staff were busy and trying their best. Waiter provided enthusiastic service and was proactive in resolving the mixups.

The grilled yellow tail cheek was good and so were the soft shell crab and salmon skin hand rolls. Rest of the sushi was average although the hint of scallion / ginger garnish on the mackerel was an authentic touch. The faux unagi is not my cup of tea - why they don’t serve real unagi and tuna is good for the earth but bad for business.

My advice to the restaurant would be to simplify the menu and be more open to the sourcing of ingredients. Ditch the sake warming jug which makes the 130ml hot sake serving become a lackluster experience (comes literally half full) and a heavier than necessary burden for staff. Consider getting an Asahi draft dispenser in a visible area - ditch the Kirin, Asahi, Sapporo options on the menu, especially if they aren’t in stock.

The location and view from this restaurant is quite special. Hope it can improve and succeed.

Update: ended up getting diarrhea after eating here. First time at a sushi place in London. Not good.

Surprisingly very authentic sushi - great quality, tasted delicious. We ordered £60 worth of sushi which they gave us this beautifully presented boat and we gave our preference of more salmon than tuna! Will go back again

Small sustainable sushi restaurant located inside Liverpool St station. The conveyor belt wasn’t in use when I arrived, maybe because I went on a quiet weekday. Salmon was fresh. Would recommend if you’re waiting for your train and need somewhere to sit in and eat.

Apart from our chicken gyoza all our meat is halal.

Pizza Union Spitalfields

It was the perfect place for me to grab a quick bite in the evening after long trip to London. Open reasonably late, with nice food (quite tasty and good value). Place is clean and well serviced - staff is really nice.

In terms of the restaurant itself - also ok, nice interior design, non intrusive music and moody light design.

Totally recommended for a fast meal of much higher quality than major fast food franchises.

The only complaint that I have and that's the reason not to go with five stars is that about 40 minutes before closing they take everything from tables so you end up with no napkins, olive etc. But maybe it's just nature of late eating :)

Very very quick service. My pizza was freshly delivered prepared and ready in less than 5 mins. The pizza tasted very good with a good crisp on the outer layers. The menu is also very varied. Prices are very reasonable.

Pizza Union is one of my favourite places to grab food in the city. The service is fast and you won’t be waiting long for your food after ordering. The menu is very varied so it should cater to everyone’s preferences however my personal favourite trick is actually to build your own! Order a Margherita and then add extra toppings at £1 each. My usual is Beef, Chicken & Mushrooms!

Great music, atmosphere & friendly staff. No matter how busy Pizza Union gets, you can always guarantee to find a table somewhere!

I've probably been to this place 100+ times over the past few years and have never been let down once. It's always consistently 10/10!

Tasty pizza, fast service and a very affordable price.  Even during busy periods the service is incredibly fast and the quality of the pizza doesn’t disappoint. For the size and ingredients used the price is shockingly affordable and I would’ve been willing to pay even more for it because it was just that good. I went to get takeaway and was in and out within 10 minutes. 100% would recommend if you want an exceptional pizza for an even more exceptional price.

As everything getting more expensive this place still very well priced with lots of good options. We can have starter, pizza and salad with very reasonable budget. Love to have dinner with kids there every time we don’t feel like cooking at home. Kids really love it and enjoy it every time we go there, it is very family friendly.

Our chicken is Halal across all branches but it is not prepared separately to other meats. Pork and alcohol are on the menu.

Truffle Burger | Liverpool Street

Amazing burgers! We went there for lunch and the staff was so nice, the burgers were great, the price was good. Everything is freshly made and you can see as they put your burger together. The truffle is not overwhelming, which is perfect.

Small place, original, young, a typical burger heaven. Very friendly staff. The truffle burger was perfectly cooked, and had the ultimate quantity of truffle, especially for an ingredient that can quickly become overwhelming. Fries with truffle cheese were very delicious. I definitely recommend it here.

Just.... HEAVEN. if you want a burger that'll satisfy you, this place will do the trick! Packed full of juicy flavour. We went for 'the truffle burger' and we will carry on coming until we've tried every one!  😍 The truffle mayonnaise is gorgeous and you can really taste the truffle.

We went for truffalo loaded fries which were amazing, BBQ chicken bites and deep fried brie - truffle honey. All to die for - great accompanies with the burger! Don't come here if you are dieting! 😂

Probably the best burger I’ve ever had. The meat is so juicy, the bacon and crispy onions add a nice crunchy texture and the truffle Mayo is heaven in my mouth. Very filling too. 10/10.

The burgers here are absolutely delightful! I went the first time on the day they opened and they were giving away free burgers. I paid £9.50 for the burger the second time. Tastes significantly better than the nearby Five Guys. I feel bad for the restaurant because, as a new establishment, they haven't been able to attract a large number of customers. Come on in and give it a try! Burgers are tasty; however, they are a little pricey.

Our chicken and beef is Halal. The beef is cooked on the same grill as the bacon. The chicken is cooked separately.

Great place for a quick lunch! 👍 Simple & delicious Thai dishes 🇹🇭 full of flavour and not overly spicy 🌶. I had Grapow Chicken with somewhat wet, saucy rice 🍚 - it was very tasty and kind of light, perfect for a warm & sunny day ☀️. They also do noodle dishes and spring rolls.

Also, the stall was not as busy as some of its neighbours and service was really quick. ⏱

Coqbull Spitalfields

There aren't many places that does rotisserie chicken as well as Coqbull.

Perfect for a casual and relax get together with your mates, Coqbull is homely, but also hip restaurant in the corner of Spitalfields Market.

The staff were lovely, and the menu was simple which is a good thing in my eyes with chicken for obvious star of show.

You can't go wrong with the half chicken with stuffing and chicken gravy paired with dirty fries. But if you really want to, you can also go for fried chicken as well as beef patty burgers, all the which, sounds very enticing.

Glancing at the drinks menu too, this is a great place to grab a drink too at their long wooden bar counter. Cocktails, beers, liquer, spirits, you name, they likely have it.

Give fried chicken arrest and give rotisserie chicken ago because Coqbull does it the best. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it.

Restaurant situated right by spitalfields market...seating outside and inside. Nice decor (publike feel)

Their burgers are the yummiest. I had a juicy one and I would love to eat it over and over again. Refer to pictures 😋 the chicken wings for starters, I wasn't quite sure about the taste. It's for discerning palettes😄

The restaurant wasn't busy at all this evening so their staff waited on us even much more than expected 😃

Waiting time was minimal, happy hour cocktails available on Sunday as well. Vegetarian options available. 12.5% discretionary charge applies.

Overall a decent place and would visit again.

The service was amazing and the food was great. They have a very good chicken and waffle dish. We also asked for a cocktail to be made alcohol free as the mocktail options weren't that appealing to us. They were more than happy to accommodate and even brought out our own special! Full stars!

Service is something that really  sets this restaurant apart they are so helpful and know the menu well another plus is their cute terrace area with loads of flower boxes brimming with colour .. they specialise in chicken but as its not my thing I went for a  really good salad amazingly well seasoned and I am fussy !! The best bits though were the sweet potato fries totally yummy 😀

I found the food expensive, specially the burgers. They have a good selection of vegetarian burgers and we tried one of them but it had too much sauce and it was too sweet. The meat burgers were better but on the small side! Overall 3 burgers, 3 drinks, and nachos to share is around 80 pounds!

Only the chicken is Halal. Alcohol and pork are on the menu.

Slim Chickens

Some of the best chicken I’ve had in a while. Really tender, fresh, and flavourful. Loved the variety of sauces available too. Not sure the pint of beer I ordered was really a pint though - y’all need to get new cups or advertise the size correctly!

First time visiting a Slim Chickens. The staff were friendly enough but annoying the electronic tills wouldn't allow anything but milkshakes in a meal. Not sure if that's always the case. But the banana milkshake was amazing and unfortunately the only thing that I enjoyed about the meal. The coleslaw was awful and just red cabbage and mayo mixed together. The chips were alright and the meal was ok. The banana milkshake was the only thing worthy to give it 2 stars.

Amazing chicken & tenders, great fries and good variety of dips. Wings are good, but the come last. Milkshake is also pretty good. The staff was pretty friendly and chatty, and they gave us some free samples as well as they were passing by, before our food came. Would highly recommend 👍

Ordered buffalo meal not knowing what it was as a first timer, ordering through the touchscreen, very handy but could not find a description of sandwiches (burgers…they are burgers).
What I got was a very nice chicken burger with fried onion bits, lettuce and gherkins, covered in a red chilli sauce. I didnt think the sauce went well so will be ordering a plainer burger next time.
Chips were very nice, interior was good with an american diner feel. Odd kitchen rolls of tissues on tables which looked a bit out of place.
Soft drinks are self serve with those machines that can add a variety of flavors.
Will be sure to try their shakes next time, was watching the calories this visit ;(

Gem in Central London. Essentially a bougie KFC.
The venue is clean and has a very cool American theme going. There is a robot inside that takes takeaway orders from the kitchen to the front desk which is awesome.

Milkshakes are tasty and thick, I recommend!!

The chicken is halal and very tender.

I bought 7 tenders, chips, and a milkshake for £14. Which isn't bad for London pricing especially as the portion is big.

Spotlit, contemporary dining room for Turkish mezze, char-grilled kebabs and casseroles.

Super restaurant. The starters came out quick. Excellent choice of tasty starters. Their mains were generous. Totally recommend their take on the iskander. Their wine selection was good had a wonderful house wine Georgian. The ambiance was also pleasant with groups put on one side so not so noisy.

We arrived during lunch time. We had no reservation but they accommodate us downstairs near by the bar area. The staff were super friendly. The service was good. The food was good too, the Islanders Kabob good have been better but the lamb chops were great.

A great atmosphere,  good quality and reasonably priced food. Good service.
We were a party of 8 and well looked after.

What can I say. We been valentines days at Haz Restaurant really Tastys and amazing delicious every food, and friendly and kind stuffs. Highly Recomended. Best in a uk no1. Botanik Bbq ( Weston Super Mare) no2. Haz Restaurant premier.

Excellent location in the middle of the Financial Centre. Great for business lunch l, team gathering or corporate events. I had the mixed grill last time I was there and the taste was amazing. I will definitely go there again as my last experience was excellent. The Meza is ok but not great so if you skip that you will not be missing a lot. Make sure you book a table, the place is packed most of the time.

KFC Bishopsgate

Decent dining service. HOWEVER when you order on just eat or uber eats if you write a order note- when you call them to let them know about the order notes- they tell you in future not to call. You listen to them and not call- they mess up your order and when you call them to find out what happened, they will say why didn't you call. Very unprofessional and dishonest conduct from staff.

It's fast food, but when I ordered they weren't that busy, I had to remind them to hand me my drink and they forgot the extra side.

Probably the worst KFC I've ever been to. Fries not salted, chicken somehow doesn't really have that KFC taste. The cashier gave me a pre-filled cup of pepsi that probably stood there for like 10 minutes. I asked which drink is that? She said pepsi max, but it definitely tasted like regular pepsi with sugar.

Also, order numbers on the orders screen appear in a random order, so there's always confused people near the desk.

Been there 3 times this week and everytime the burger has a comically large amount of mayo on it. If you like mayo this is the place for you.

Very good little depot of a KFC with great location for Liverpool Street if you have 15  minutes before your train and need a take away. Food was up to scratch and of a good standard. The ticket dispenser was not working well during my visit but staff were helpful to sort the issue out. Turnaround is quite high and store is a bit small. I was there at 2015 so during the quieter period.

In our KFC Halal restaurants we do not handle any pork ingredients, and all the food and drink items served in these restaurants are approved by the Halal Food Authority. This ensures the very best Halal food standards but does mean that certain menu items and limited time offers may not be available.

Another key consideration for us was that we were able to ensure that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards we employ in the UK, and we consulted leading animal welfare groups about this.

There is no compromise to our welfare standards. We continue to insist that our poultry is stunned before slaughter, using a technique called 'stun-to-stun'. We only buy high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, who are contractually required to meet or exceed all relevant UK and EU legislation and this will not change.

Delicious Pho

The food is gorgeous and the staff are lovely. Forgive my username, I am not sure how to change it.
Anyways it’s local to me and I’m very glad it is. We’ve got all our friends hooked.

Interesting interior, very pleased with this restaurant very generous proportions it fuels you up for the whole day, tom yum is my favorite so far, friendly staff and ordered bubble tea to go had the best taro milk tea in the area and chewy boba. Heard from the manager they will be opening the basement floor soon I'll come again to try the bar!

Services are great. The girl took our order is very pleasant to talk with and professional. The uncle in t kitchen (with t cap?) is attentive and welcoming. We came for quick family dinner. Nice chat with t owner.
Wouldn't recommend the stir fried noodles.
But the Pho 8/10 compared to Pho in Hanoi, is definitely worth paying for, starters are good, squid 10/10 , t salad maybe can be more exciting,
Dessert Che 10/10 , 1 portion is huge for even 2 ppl

I got the vermicelli with spring rolls, pork and meatballs - 3 colours. The fish sauce could be a bit stronger in flavour but overall the meat was cooked well and seasoned well. The waiter Mark is very nice. I’ve been here a few times, he is very friendly and he knows how to look after his customers. The interior is nice and big, it’s a good atmosphere to chat and eat.

At the moment, most of our chicken dishes are halal, aside from the chicken wings.
This past couple of weeks, everything's been complicated and we've been having issues with the supplier. Once all is settled, we'll post an update here.

Went for our anniversary on 12/06/21 and everything was fantastic. The waiting staff were very attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. We had the menu gourmand with wine pairing which complimented each dish perfectly and was described to us by the waiter before we tried. We also got complimentary chocolates and macaroons with a ‘congratulations’ chocolate plaque which was a lovely touch. This was our first experience having a tasting menu and we will definitely go back after having this! Thank you to our server Filippo and everyone else who tended to us for making our special night so enjoyable

We came here as a belated celebration and I specifically chose this restaurant as they catered for me with a vegan tasting menu. The ambiance is perfect, we were seated upstairs and would request this the next time as it felt intimate whilst maintaining a buzz.  The service and staff were impeccable, our servers Alfie and Rowan were an absolute delight, friendly, elegant and knowledgeable. My partner went for the gourmet tasting menu and swapped out one course for the vegan option which was fully accommodated and we both enjoyed every course of good and the accompanying wine pair. The cocktails are also beautifully smooth with an array of flavours. Fantastic experience - thank you Alfie and Rowan for making it!

I attended last night for a special occasion. The food and service was exceptional. We had the 7 course vegan menu and were very well catered for throughout. The building restaurant itself is also stunning. I can’t fault anything - thank you all.

My husband and I completely enjoyed our lunch there yesterday.  We had the 5 Course Tasting Menu & Glass of Bubbles.  It was delicious and such excellent value for £44.50.  My husband actually went for the wine pairing option.  The staff were all very nice; we felt well looked after.  Yesterday was  a Sunday and raining heavily and yet the place was almost full.  It was great to see and says a lot about the restaurant.

Used an experience voucher gift here for lunch. Impressive vaulted space, very smart and elegant. Impeccable service. Warm but not intrusive. Set menu small but very good quality. Chilled melon soup extremely good, as was Cornish fish. Very pleased with this experience, as was my guest.

Halal chicken can be preordered. Pork and alcohol present.

Vietnamese street-food specialist known for its 'Pho' noodle dishes

I really like this place, the food is so tasty! The staff is friendly and the atmosphere is lovely. It's good for groups but also for couples or a friends catch  up. I recommend! :)

I absolutely love Pho! You should totally try Com Tam Rang if you visit, it's one of the best I've had (I've been to Saigon as well, which is the 'home' of this dish)

I've been visiting this Pho branch since it opened in Spitalfields a number of years ago. I've finally got round to writing my review as my experience has been disappointing throughout my visits.
1. The service has always been lack-lustre and slow. Either the staff have little time to take care of customers, or customer satisfaction isn't the core value of Pho. Example - my friend asked for a friend egg on another dish, the chef refused, even though it was available on other dishes. It takes a while to order or get the bill. Knowing that half a mile away there is Kingsland Road with a lot more authentic and competitively priced Vietnamese restaurants, you would have thought Pho would provide better service for repeat custom.
2. The restaurant is cramped. My seat was nudged over five times, mostly by the staff passing by with dishes. Not fun, not a relaxing eating experience.
3. The food is OK. I had the Com Tam with chicken thighs. The chicken was dry and over cooked and the stock with the rice was very greasy. I struggled to finish it.
There are much more authentic Vietnamese restaurants nearby so try those instead.

Friday lunchtime outing - substantial main course , good flavours and fresh ingredients. Very hearty meal. Service was a bit slow so not ideal for a working lunch but they do have a takeaway option!

This is the second Phở I've been to from its chain, I was expecting a large restaurant with plenty of room but when we got there, it was tiny, not much space to move around. 

The place's interior was nice enough, staff were great.

The only thing i could think of that brings the customers in is the food itself, it's the same as the rest of its chain but does remind you of home a little.

All in all, good food but small place.

Our chicken is Halal and cooked separately from other meat. Our chicken broth however is not always Halal, so if you order a chicken soup please ask for veggie stock.

Tifinbox - Indian Street Food

Good Indian food. You can choose both veg and non-veg options. Customer services was very good and the prices are decent. The taste was enjoyable and I would visit again

Really nice place, tasty food and good portions. very well priced! We only had a few sides but they were really sooo nice. The workers were kind and helping, the place plays Indian songs and the atmosphere is nice. Will be returning to try some mains. Really recommend it. The chaat and onion Bhaji is nice, kinda spicy, didn’t like the masala fries tho.

Excellent food. One of the best places in London to have breakfast especially as you don’t have to many Indian options for breakfast so early in the morning. 

Amazing options in the menu. Great taste and very very friendly and courteous staff. Kept going there again and again.

Would definitely recommend it big time...!!!!!
