If you're hungry and want value for your money then this is the place to go. All chicken is halal only. The portion is massive so be careful when ordering. Burgers come with 2 chicken fillets and are big in size. Overall nice venue, well spaced out the tables. Food wise can't complain, good chicken. Love the fact that they serve potato tots. The only downside is that the meat burgers look good on the menu but sadly not halal, so I'm hoping soon they manage to become fully halal so I can visit again.

I was super excited to hear about this place opening in shoreditch having heard how much they’re killing it in the north and therefore had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately those expectations were not met 😔.

The chips were not as crispy as I had expected and lacked crunch. Also I was surprised about the small portion serving of chips presented. On to the burgers and it didn’t have that wow factor. Out of the burgers we did order I would recommend the Swiss tony and the last samurai thigh. There signature burger the fat hippo was okay, but not great. We found the patty to be slightly over cooked even though we expected it to medium rare.

We were super gutted to not experience their milkshakes as the machine was broken, but we understand that it is a new opening and that they were bound to have small niggling issues.

Apart from the small teething problems you would have with a new restaurant opening. It was a nice experience but not one where we would be coming back in a hurry.

Paying £14.50 for a beef burger might be expensive, considering a fully loaded Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) burger will set you back £12.60 and a Five Guys burger will cost you £8.95. However, Fat Hippo is not your average burger. I ordered the Hokus Porkus and it did not dissapoint. Every bite was juicy, crunchy and messy. The beef patty and American cheese is paired up with pork scratchings, jalapeno peppers, black pudding, kiev mayo and bacon crumbs. The burgers also come with an individual serving of fries with cajun seasoning.

The menu features eight beef burgers, five vegan burgers and five chicken burgers to choose from. The drinks menu focuses heavily on beers (although there are no draft beers). There is also an indulgent dessert menu (starting at £6) that headlines with a black vanilla soft serve, blended from almonds + cashews that is only available in this Shoreditch location. Give the "This is America" dessert a try - black vanilla soft serve ice cream, peanut butter and jam.

The service delivers the Northern warmth and cheekyness you expect given Fat Hippo was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. The interior is large, accomodating 108 covers. Ask to be seated on booths next to the window - comfy and offer a great view. The only two areas for improvement to complement the sixteen sauces in offer (£1 each) are the fries and non alchoolic drinks. The fries could be a bit cruchier. The non alcoholic drink options should be more varied than soda. If you are after a dirty, indulgent, fully loaded burger, Fat Hippo is your spot.

A bit small portion for that price, but very tasty burger. Nice and competent service. Not bad house beer. Unfortunately there's no draft beer available. Generally nice places. I'll be definitely back soon.

My mates and I decided to check this place out today! We left full and happy, certainly not disappointed.
The food took a bit longer to arrive but it was worth the wait! Burgers were big and juicy, really nicely flavoured. We upgraded our chips to dirty tots! WOW - loads of mini hash browns  with bacon and yummy sauce.
Staff were all welcoming and smiley! We’ll be back soon!

All of the chicken we use across all of our restaurants and concessions is certified halal. However, none of our beef products used at any locations are certified halal.

Went for the Prime Beef Corn (gluten free) Taco which was fresh and delicious. The fillings were amazing and the ambience in the place was cool. I’m Gluten free and they had so many options for me on their menu. 100% recommend.

Had the salmon and prawn tacos. Super tasty. With the side of crispy corn. Properly one of the best tacos I’ve had! Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Seriously delicious, fresh, fast, friendly and Knowledgeable staff happy to recommend but not pushy at all. Clean and fun!

This is a new Taco restaurant in the heart of East London. Premises opened on 15/09/2023. My visit was on 18/09/23

To get to this restaurant, you’re looking at a 11-13 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station. Overground, Central Line, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Circle & District Lines (Underground Tube)

Firstly, I like to start off by saying that Michael and his brother, were very, very hospitable and a very warm, excellent customer service from the outset.

Okay, so what was purchased.

Peruvian Chicken, Mayan Veggie Bites, Salmon Poke, Mayan Veggie Bites, Corn Elote Salad

Was kindly given a few freebies; Albajores

I’m going to be brutally honest about each Taco flavour and to manage expectations, don’t expect an authentic Mexican Taqueria (lugar de tacos)

Peruvian Chicken - very dry and no seasoning on the pulled chicken. Have suggested to do a Birria style pull chicken

Prawn Star - no citrus balance and most definitely no Smokey prawns. Think naked prawn cocktail.

Mayan Veggie Bites - this was the sleeper hit Taco for me. However, the only criticism i have is the flavours are not Mayan related, more Asian theme. So have suggested to what ingredients that the Mayan ancient civilisation did use; i.e. Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, etc.

Salmon Poke - I’d customised mine and made it slightly better. The salmon has no soy sauce marination or citrus tone. A vital  ingredient to use for salty, acidity tones to the profile of the taco. Have suggested to use Ponzu sauce marination for the Salmon.

Corn Elote Salad - regrettably this needs an overhaul for its recipe. It was to me just corn in mayonnaise with a sprinkling of seasoning which doesn’t assist the corn whatsoever. This side was very weak.

Albajores (Freebie) - lack of filling and very, very dry when consumed. It zaps away any moisture you have in your mouth.

Beverage selection was okay. Had a raspberry lemonade. This is branded and not in house made.

They have a disabled toilet.

Parking will be somewhat difficult to find.

They will be opening a second location in Covent Garden.

An interesting concept but still requires some tweaks here and there on their food menu. Don’t know how many food tasting samples they had prior to launch?

German Doner Kebab

If you're in the mood for a delicious and filling meal, German Doner Kebab is a great choice. The kebab meat is perfectly cooked and seasoned, with a crispy outer layer and juicy inside that leaves you craving for more.The sauces, especially the garlic sauce, are a must-try and add a great depth of flavor to the dish. The staff is friendly and efficient, making the experience enjoyable from start to finish. Overall, German Doner Kebab is a fantastic spot for a quick, satisfying meal that will leave you feeling satisfied and craving for more. Highly recommended!

Very nice location restaurant a Tad small, food and beverages was okay. Kids enjoyed the food alongside the salad the chefs cooked, tasty, kebab, wrap and the staff serving on the till was very efficient and a good salesman.
Very easy to travel zoo and it is very close to Old St station which is the northern line,
Also, bus routes 135, 271, 141, 43, 55, 2430, short, walking distance away.

I ordered a fries box with chicken. I got home, no fries, no chicken. Just a whole bunch of average salad.

Their advertisement says Tuesday 2 for 1. This is the first time I come into this place. I ordered 2 mains on their self-checkout machine, paid, trusting them to have price of one, then realised it’s full price. I asked the waiter, who claimed he has no control over the machine, and what I paid is what I should pay.

Ordered a burger and prawns, and I was provided with a long range alert system to notify me when my food was ready. After about 25 minutes I figured something was up and went back and saw 3 staff standing around doing nothing. So I inquired how long it would be.... she looked at my buzzer and said oh we didn't know you had an order in. The person who took my order wasn't here anymore. Dude with a nose ring. Anyways make sure they place your order when your order, I don't think they're very competent.

Waited for my curry for 50 (yes, fifty!) minutes - turned out that their printer didn't print my order out. I was waiting in front of the coutner and the employee seemed to forget that I ordered something instantly after putting the order in. Once I reminded them about the order, it was ready in approximately 5 minutes.

Food was good, just not worth the wait. If you wait for 10+ minutes for your food, go check with them to make sure they are actually preparing it - the employee mentioned that this kind of printing errors happen daily(!).

Food is good. I used to really enjoy ordering from there. But lately the woman at the till is probably the rudest cashier I’ve encountered. Makes you feel bad for asking a question about the menu. One word answers. Won’t be going back

Food is great, but I'll only come here if I want to be treated lik excrement. Lady with long dark hair apparently doesn't want my money or cares that she might kill me with gluten. Winner.

Ordered chicken katsu curry - sauce was odd and pretty flavourless. Rice was overcooked and soft. Pretty weird basic things to mess up. also the chicken piece was small and underwhelming.

Our chicken is Halal. We serve pork and alcohol from the same kitchen.

I was curious to try Burmese food for the first time, the restaurant was nicely spaced out and had a modern feel. Seated by the bar you could also see some of the chefs in the kitchen.

The dishes were new to me and came with nice textures, freshness and overall great presentation. I didn’t enjoy the flavours or taste as much, too subtle for me and would have preferred more spice.

The salad was the standout dish, so fun to eat with good crunch, levels to the dish that will intrigue your palate.

Service was nice, mostly attentive and welcoming. Although I probably wouldn’t visit again I’d still suggest giving it a go. 🇲🇲

We wanted to try somewhere new and different and Burmese food sounded exciting. The staff were friendly and welcoming and attentive. We wanted a booth in the window but it was booked and was offered an alternative that suited. The restaurant was relatively quiet and we asked for help with choosing which was given by the friendly waitress. The food looked different and exciting to try when it arrived. The textures, colours and overall visual experience promised a culinary treat but the flavour was a bit lacking in parts. The salad bowl was the tastiest and overall the food was well presented and reasonable, just not wow. Would still recommend it for a lunch date or group outing.

I always wanted to come to this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint me! It was delicious every dish was unique, tasty and well presented! Service was friendly and helpful! The only thing I would say to work In the sitting as I had to wait for my table when there were other tables empty. Apart from that everything was great!

I ordered the following dishes
- it is a side. I can’t remember the name but it is a small plate with dried shrimp and chilli flake. It is perfect to go with rice and noodle.
- the best must be the tea leaves salad. I personally love crunchy things and the flavour is so rich. Kind of mixing lot of flavour but not to much. Must try it.
- the pork belly is so crispy, it comes with generous portion of delicious coconut rice
- ceviche is refreshing, may be a bit too sour for me

This is my first time trying our Burmese food and i am glad i had a pleasant experience. The services was very good. The lady was very friendly with lovely smell.

It is such a cozy beautiful venue with such a marvellous Burmese food selection to choose from!
And the service is also excellent!
I will be going back very soon for more foodie’s paradise nights.

One of the best ‘Cheap Eats’ in London. Tasty tacos, quick service and nice staff! Recommend the chicken buttermilk tacos.

Tip: They offer student discount - so don’t forget to ask if you are a student

For a quick bite to eat of some tasty Mexican food whilst exploring the Spitalfields area and beyond, this certainly did the job. You scan that table to order and have a variety of sauces to get to spice up your food to your own taste.

There's an options for some unlimited juices but I had a Modelo, one of a few lagers they serve.

Food was tasty and very filling so maybe don't get too carried away with your order, you can always get more if you're still hungry. Not the best I've had but certainly not the worst

Didn't have to wait that long to be served, food came quite quickly as well. Some of the tacos better than others but overall really tasty and filling. My favourite was cheese&steak tacos, yummy!

Stumbled upon this spot not far from Brick Lane. The tacos were really good and the drinks were good too. I found it a little on the pricier end (70£ for two people) especially as portions were small, but worth checking out at least once

First time eating here and I was completely shocked by how good it is. I had the Steak burrito which is a pretty decent size portion. It comes with rice, beans, slaw, cheese and salsas. Also with tomatillo salsa and pickled cucumber. It's very tasty and if you add some habanero sauce, it makes it even better. I also had some plantain tacos because I was starving and these were incredible. I thought Wahaca had the best plantain tacos in this city but wow, these topped them. They come with slaw, feta, crema and smoky salsa. So good, tasty and generous portion. I'd recommend this place 100% as it's a perfect tex mex place. I paid £17 for these two dishes, so pretty affordable too.

The chicken we use in every DF is now halal-certified! However, we must highlight that we do also sell non-halal menu items in our business, including pork and non-halal beef. The chicken is prepared separately but we would rather customers notify us if cross contamination is a concern so we can be extra vigilant, clean surfaces and change gloves, etc. If you have further questions about this, please reach out to us.

The Sushi Co - Shoreditch

First visit. Friendly and helpful staff. I had the chicken katsu curry. Chicken was made fresh. Curry sauce used is good quality (Java curry). Rice was excellent quality and cooked in a good quality rice cooker. Very tasty meal. I will definitely be going back.

A nice newly opened sushi place in the area. If you want to eat sushi, it is a place you should definitely give a chance. The employees are quite friendly and their products are delicious. Chicken katsu is a feast of taste.

Good sushi and great value! Fish was fresh and tasty, food was made on the spot, portions were generous and staff was super friendly and helpful. We did order a takeaway, got some discount for it and enjoyed the feast at home. Would definitely be coming back!

I ordered 2 bubble teas the flavour itself was okay but the plastic cup that it comes in leaked through and the other one I accidentally dropped it and it fully cracked. Wasted 3.99 on it . The sushi gave me a stomach ache too.

Nice place! Lovely staff. Service was quick and easy. Madiha & Sanjay always look after me with their quick service. Very tasty sushi and a great variety of dishes to pick from. I recommend this place to anyone! 😊👍🏼👍🏼

Lovely atmosphere, great decor, and great music! Definitely appreciate the attention to details. Food was great too, portions were quite large; and the selection of cocktails is impressive! Only negative, they are not great at keeping track of reservations (I received an email after our dinner saying we didn't show up...).

This was hitting the spot! I loved the food and it was a decent sized plate of food!! The flavours were great and a little spicy but it felt that’s what was needed. The drink I went for a mock tail but would probably try cocktails next visit. Ill definitely be back next time!! It wasn’t so busy when we visited but it can get very busy so booking is recommended. Love decor and atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back!

Delicious and absolutely worth the trip!

The food was flavorful and very well seasoned. The servers were kind and friendly, working as a team having taken our orders and bringing our food in a timely manner.

They serve proper Caribbean food: I would know being of Haitian descent. It was such a pleasant surprise and I really look forward to coming back upon my return to London.

Best part? Excellent prices. Great value for money.

This restaurant was wonderful. Excellent staff. We were seated properly and the Food was GREAT! I wish I had taken more photos as we ordered quite a bit. We do have plans to return. Recommended foods are their Mac and cheese, rice and peas including this salmon dish. Keep up the great work Cottons!!!

I’ve seen and heard mixed reviews about this particular branch but mainly good so I thought I’d give it a go.

My partner and I came here for dinner as it was local. We were greeted by a gentleman called Alex who to begin with was very friendly and attentive.

We ordered drinks (myself a bottle of wine) and lemonade and my partner ordered a cocktail, additionally we ordered starters (salt fish fritters and hot wings)

The drinks came out quite quickly as well as the starters which was good.

The salt fish fritters were mediocre. You basically get 3 small fishy balls of dough, they definitely were not authentic Caribbean salt fish fritters and overpriced for the size and lack of quality - do not recommend.

The hot wings were nice, cooked throughout, chicken was falling off the bone very tasty but again, overpriced. 3 wings for £7.

Drinks were great, my partner ordered The Killer Duppy in which it was so nice he ended up ordering 3/4.

My wine was ok. Ordered lemonade to add it as a spritzer and half way through my lemonade it was taken by a waiter, they didn’t even ask if I had finished it they just took it which I found weird.

Now onto the main course…

I ordered the curry mutton with rice and peas & coleslaw with a side dish of Mac & cheese.

The curried mutton was very unappealing to look at initially as it looked very runny but all in all, after eating it it was very delicious, the meat was tender, the rice and peas had gungopeas instead of red kidney which is what I prefer - overall very tasty. Coleslaw was nice and the Mac and cheese was very cheesy although I must say the portion size for the Mac and cheese is a joke. Even a baby would have a bigger portion size than that.

My partner ordered the jerk pork ribs and buttermilk chicken. Which included skin-on fries, Mac and cheese and jerk sauce.

In all honesty it didn’t look appealing in the slightest, his appetite completely went when the food came out, the chips tasted like they had been reheated, he took one bite into the buttermilk chicken strips or whatever they were and felt sick. The jerk sauce literally tasted shop bought, it’s like they just poured it out of a bottle and served it - not fresh at all. He didn’t even touch the ribs as his taste buds were so scarred from the dry buttermilk strips.

My partner could not finish his food due to the poor quality of his dish and I raised this to the waiter Alex and it was as though Alex went from being friendly to being annoyed within second. I said to Alex we’re not gonna pay for this food as he’s hardly touched it and Alex argued against it and said my partner had clearly touched it and that he’s only taking 50% off. It seemed as though he was more annoyed about losing money than the well-being of the customers. I didn’t argue against it and still paid half the price but took the service charge off which is something I never do.

After that, I felt as though Alex’s attitude had changed towards us, he went from being happy to stern, it definitely changed the atmosphere and made us feel uncomfortable. I even apologised to Alex and stated that I’m not meaning to be a pain but were gonna pay for something that’s hardly been touched and Alex just shrugged it off and carried on walking.

When we asked for an extra cocktail we waited longer than usual and I feel this is because of how annoyed Alex was. We then just decided to leave and asked Alex for the bill and he took forever to print off a simple piece of paper, taking his time to walk around and converse with people sitting right next to us knowing we were waiting.

Overall this gets 3/5 stars. My meal was ok. A bit overpriced for the portion sizes but the food tasted good. It was just the poor experience with how we were treated by Alex that’s left a poor taste in my mouth.

I must admit since getting home, I’ve felt quite sickly. Would we return? No.

Ghost Burgers

One of the cleanest fast food restaurants I have ever been to. Chicken tenders tasted fresh and are not excessively spicy; great bun, burger has good balance of sauce and meat, though far too crunchy outside, possibly flame was too high. I can't wait to try their boxes (available only when you eat in, as far as I am aware).

I very rarely give 5 star but this place was excellent. Great food, fantastic attentive staff.

Their burgers were great, there was 4 of us so we got to try out 4 out of 5 burgers. All very distinctive to each other, well thought out and delicious.
Their Meat boxes were sumptuous.

The staff was excellent. All very young and very pleasant and really looked after.

All in all, a great night out made better with their staff. Thank you

First saw @ghostburgersuk way back in Lockdown 1.0 blow up over tiktok.. Finally got to visit and it did not disappoint! 📍 134a Kingsland Rd, London E2 8DY. Closest tube station is is Hoxton which is a few minutes walk.

Visited on a quite Sunday, as heard busier days place can get pretty busy and not much indoor seating. I ordered my food items separate as no option to do as a meal. Ordered: ‘Chicks On Fire Burger’ which was Spicy coated chicken thigh, cheese, shredded lettuce, red onion, house slaw, gherkins, house sauce served in a demi-brioche potato bun (£10.00) ‘Wagyu Steak Box’ which was Skin on fries loaded generously with Wagyu steak strips* drenched in our special house pepper and onion gravy. (£12.00) & ‘Strabwery Mojito’ which was Strawberry mojito mocktail with fresh mint and lime (£4.50)  I have no complaints with the food It is a bit pricey compared to other places however the quality in the food does show and also they give large portion sizes! Also fresh hot towl provided which not many burger places do nice extra touch.

Customer service in this place was 10/10, special shout out to *Amina* who went above and beyond was very helpful. I Would 100% be back to try more the menu , they also have a secret menu which I need to try 👀 place I would defo add to your London list!

Good food, friendly and fast service. Definitely should seek to expand the shop as a lot of customers were coming and it was starting to become really packed in the small area. Other than that, the food was really good, but only problem was chicken wasn’t as fully cooked because the batter around was very thick. Their special ghost burger sauce was good stuff.

Mojitos were very good 11/10

Very friendly staff. Food came pretty quick. The chicks on fire burger/ strips were moist and tender while the coating was super crunchy with a moreish taste. Fries were crisp and soft inside which was well seasoned. All to wash it down with some refreshing strawberry mojito.

Absolutely the BEST Donut's ever! Have been a fan for years now. Freshly made which in my eyes is unbeatable, who wants a stale/dry Donut?! Flavours and fillings are amazing, they do change so always something for every palette. The Hot Oreo Sundae 🤤😍. Get yourself some pronto.

Excellent doughnuts and loved the new shop!! I got the Apple pie + custard doughnut bites and they were amazing. Super warm and friendly environment as well.

The best fresh donuts I have ever tasted. Well worth the wait for and the staff are amazing. Especially the owner she is incredible.

So disappointed with the doughnuts, as previous customers have mentioned, doughnuts are over priced, not great quality/taste and very small. Hygiene was not great, the sale assistant was wearing gloves but touching her phone which was so dirty, handling money with the same glove then prepping the doughnuts😭It gave us anxiety watching her do this. Such a shame, we use to really enjoy their doughnuts in the pop up shop, lot more variety/collection was available. I will not return back here again.

These are the best donuts that will ever touch your lips!!! I promise you now. Sooo soft it’s hot the flavours are ample! You won’t be disappointed.

Sheba Restaurant - Awarded Best Curry House In UK

I felt in love Indian foods in London. My mom, son, and I are from U.S. and had never tasted better Indian foods before. The portions were generous, and the presentation was great. All items that we ordered were awesome, and we finished them all. The hospitality was welcoming and the service was great. The price was even better that I spent only $58 for 4 orders. If I ordered the same menu items in US, it would be more than $120 plus 18% tips. I strongly recommend this place and definitely come back when I visit London soon.

Quite a nice Indian restaurant around brick lane area. The sizzling meat grill is always a great one to try and has lots of flavours in them. The curry was flavourful. Really salute the restaurant for having a full blast air con turned on during summer period. Really cooling when having Indian food in a hot summer lunch time in London.

Booked a table at Sheba came with my family loved the atmosphere there. The waiters were very attentive and helpful loved the food full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The Bengal Lamb Shank was cooked to perfection very soft and tender it literally peeled off the bone. I would recommend this place to everyone definitely returning back

The pictures don't do justice, the food was very authentic, what a lovely gem in brick lane! We came here with a sleeping baby in the pram, and instantly space was made for us!
The speed of the food was good, the service was friendly, and the taste was great! We got lamb bhuna and chicken xacuti  - with a few starters and we didn't regret our choice! I would definately come back! It's been the best Indian we've had in 4 years in London!

The food is so good. It really deserves it's great reviews. The place is small but so busy. The staff are so nice as well. You really need do to reserve a table as there were queues of people waiting to get in

Absolutely amazing food! We ate in( there is a small eating area upstairs) so do not think it's takeaway only! The meat was amazing  quality tasting,great dips and sauces  and brilliant customer service! Highly recommend!

Coming from America, I usually don’t have access to Turkish food, so I was hesitant to try this place. However, I am very happy that I came here! This food was incredible! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the rice was almost buttery. Definitely would recommend coming here.

We were in the area looking for a Halal restaurant to eat at and stumbled across The Munch. As soon as we walked in, all of the staff warmly greeted us. The interior was clean and inviting whilst the food on display looked great.

At first, we thought it was primarily take away. However, we soon realised there was proper seating upstairs and opted to dine-in.

The food was truly amazing. Fresh, high quality and a very generous portion that filled all 3 of us. We opted for the Munch Platter which is highly recommended!

Hospitality and service was also top level. Despite being a small restaurant, our server took the time to check-in on us multiple times. Also, we were again warmly greeted on our way out.

May Allah SWT reward the brothers for their hard work and efforts and grant you much more success. Jazak’Allahu Khairun.

Amazing place to eat.. would recommend eating it as the food is amazing and the staff are great!! Best Turkish food I have had since coming back from Turkey...would 100% recommend and would give this place more than 5 stars if I could!!!

Good looking store although one of the windows was broken. The interior is very Shoreditch cool, upbeat and quick queue system setup. Some seating in here as well as Instagramable swings. I'd recommend going for the bowls rather than the bao buns as I was expecting the bao buns to be hot.

Otherwise the food is tasty enough.

Now doing halal chicken aaand beef so you've got options if you adhere to that diet. Not the soy sauce isn't halal.

I ordered a build it salmon poke bowl with extra salmon and all the trimming. It came to a total of £15.85 so expected a decent meal. The meal was made nicely and staff was friendly and polite. I didn’t have to wait very long at all as I was the only customer. The only complaint I have is the freshness of the salmon. I love salmon which was why I paid £4.50 extra for an extra serving of it. But the salmon that came with my poke bowl was tasteless and only tasted of refrigeration. There was no smooth or rich taste of the salmon fish as expected due to its fatty content. I would have expected this from a poke restaurant selling fresh ingredients day in day out. Either the fish was of extremely low quality or it has been in the fridge for too long. Extremely disappointed. I had to take out the fish and throw it out as it tasted of nothing.

Generally pretty good and super quick. A £10 for a bowl. It's pretty ok for Uber Eats, but a bit much for lunch bite. Particularly considering the amount of salmon seems to have been slowly decreasing overtime. I also generally find there is a lack of dressing, which I can't fix when it's delivered. The salmon be a little hit and miss, I sometimes find it's excessively fatty and have to just remove it. Overall, the portion just sends a tiny bit small. It's not quite filling enough.

The entire team served with exceptional speed whilst still having interaction with their customers (which definitely is appreciated!)
A nice lady named Jay in particular, provided me with some kind words, after a stressful start in the office. It might not be much to her but the lil deed echoed through my day boosted mood :).
Now been coming every day for lunch 😂 (as seen in my picture)

This is THE BEST vegan fast food place ever! The concept and idea is amazing. The Burger is the best one I ever had! The “cheese” tastes better than real cheese!!! The “milk” shakes and ice cream are amazing. Just go and try it your self! You won’t taste that it’s vegan! I’m not Vegan and I love it!

I really quite enjoyed this establishment. The menu design was lovely, it was simple as not too many items on there so you don’t waste time choosing and the staff were friendly. My one little quarrel is the fact that it was a tad bit cramped in the part where we sat, it wasn’t an issue as such it just felt odd because we were right next to the bar. The food though was absolutely amazing, well priced for London and taste was irresistible, I am normally a slow eater but demolished it.

Probably the best burger I’ve ever had, no joke. I had the Soho which is a pesto burger that came with rosemary chips, and I wish I had taken a picture of it to share with you. A perfect meshing of flavors and a cute location just outside of Chinatown. I highly recommend.

One of the rare restaurant still staying unchanged post COVID. Very good food and quality food, good portion. Did not increase their price. Shake up the menu by having a special burger quite often, and staff very nice! For an excellent burger at reasonable price, don't hesitate and go there!

Nice spot to have a burger.  The atmosphere is very laid back.  There is ambient music in the background but the good thing is that it's not so loud that you can't hear conversations.  The burger was nice, not too dry which is great.

Ordered a burger here but had to leave before it was ready. One if the staff came running after me a block down the road up stairs and across a street with my food! That's quite the customer service and the food was tasty too! Definitely recommend.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. I had just stopped outside and was looking at the menu through the window, an employee came out to speak to us and told us about the food they served. The food was amazing, great portion sizes and reasonably priced.

Super takeaway lunch spot. Sweet n sour chicken with rice 👌 the wraps are good but small for the price, the other options are better value. Burger was great but could use a sauce for the chips .

Being a regular for years - it's truly heartbreaking to see the quality of food and portion sizes go down so much. Difference between regular and a large is quite a bit in price, yet a large gives you 90% rice and 10% chicken as it seems. Never thought I'll say this about this brand but PLEASE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THEM! Look at this! £10.95 for few pieces of chicken and huge portion of rice 🙃.

Amazing spot for some quality Korean fried chicken. I’m not too big into spice but the sticky soy and honey flavours are 10/10. The lady at the till is super friendly too. One of my colleagues are vegetarian and recommended their cauliflower dishes too if you are vegetarian.

Great burgers. It's in LaLaLand which is only partially open at lunchtime through the winter. Staff are really friends. The cheeseburger is excellent, the spicy fries are tasty and the Szechuan pepper on them is lip numbing.

Incredible burger and the Szechuan fries are insane. Double up on the burger and make sure to get the honey chilli sauce for the best experience. We’ll be back again (and again, and again)

More a 4.5... Really good juicy burger. The meat itself was a little on the bland side for my taste and could have maybe used a slightly larger bun for the filling that kept pouring out.
Got on £5 burger Thursday deal in January and so was excellent value. Though £14 for a double without chips is just a little too pricy.
Still that's becoming the top end of standard now so if you don't mind that, then you could do far far worse than going here for a bite.

The place is nice and chill! We went for a team lunch. The seats are wide and tables are quite spacious which is nice as ofter there is never enough space where to put food.
We ordered a variety of dishes and each one of them was great. My personal favourites was the satay cabbage. Very tasty. Full of nuts for those who are allergic.
Recommended.

Nice simple decor with bench seating great for groups.  The calamari was excellent and our whole table enjoyed the food and cocktails.  The service was fast, friendly and efficient.  Not too busy for a weekday early dinner we booked in advanced to ensure we would get a table.

It was a cold, quiet Sunday evening, so not many customers. The decor was nicely modern and subtly lit, not traditional Thai.

But ,despite being charming, our waitress was slow to get our food back us, and my friend's "Crispy Duck" with noodles were leathery, dry and chewy.

After predictable and safe vegetable spring rolls, my "Sweet and sour Chicken" was neither of those, being served with a sauce lacking flavour, but with at least tender chunks of chicken.

I would go back and give them a second chance.

Spacious , bench seating style service was good but my Pad Thai was runny I didn't finish it, I have been here a lot but I think this was my first lunch time dinning so will avoid lunchtime. Calamari was a little overly hard this time but still same great taste.

Not the best experience for the price. No coca cola, no fruit for kids dessert menu. Kids were served prawn crackers in a dirty basket. The prawn crackers on kids menu were spicy then the kids Thai green curry was spicy and sent back.
Asked for the Coca-Cola to be replaced with a juice and still charged us for one even though they were out of the coke. Pad thai was ok. Staff were good but the entire experience was not. This was a birthday meal and that's the only reason I got the drink free. Nothing else. Seriously gone down the pan.

Rice and condiments were good, reasonably priced as well. Sambal chili could be spicier and the chicken was not authentic (chicken fingers instead of chicken wings as advertised?). Worth it if you’re in the area and are craving Malaysian/Singaporean food.

Oh my God, this place was MIND BLOWINGLY good. I got the chicken and mutton with roti canai. Let's break this down, the chicken was so tender, the flavours had me singing to myself, the Roti was done outrageous!! To master the soft fluffyness along with the crunch, takes art and serious technical skills! The MAIN EVENT, THE MUTTON, THE MUTTON, THE MUTTON. I went to bed and I was still licking my fingers to try and reminisce. It's been a week since I went and it's a week too long. Do NOT sleep on this place, it's an absolute diamond. This is what a curry is, not a chicken tikka masala!! I LOVE this place. I want to hug the chef.

Just poor quality. Siu mai look like cardboard and had a piece of cartilage in. Spicy chicken was just chicken tenders in a spicy sauce. Doesn’t stand up to culinary quality elsewhere in boxpark sadly.

Myself, my partner and children we loved the chicken curry & rice, chicken satay and dumplings 10/10.

Came here for brunch, made reservations ahead of time. The breakfast naan wraps are really well made and so flavorful, and you have the option of getting vegan sausage which is a nice plus. They have a good selection of drinks as well and the atmosphere is so nice! We are at the outdoor veranda which was very cute!

I took a flight just to come here! I must say, all my expectations are met. A great vibe in this restaurant. I love the food and the variety on the menu. The staff are super friendly. The taste of House Chai is unbelievably awesome, it simply brings back my childhood memories from India.  Thank you Dishoom! It was worth a flight to come here. Highly recommended!!!

Nice, almost like an Indian Street food tapas. If that's your thing, amazing. But I will stick to my curry houses next time.

Dinner was amazing!
We got here around 9pm on a Tuesday night and the wait was over an hour. A little surprised by that but the time went by pretty quick. They brought out some lemonade while we were waiting which was nice.
Food itself was great and the atmosphere is amazing as well.

Came here for a festive lunch.I wasn’t aware that the food was shared .I think the portions served 4. All items on the menu were included so there were some items that we all loved and others that we didn’t like so much. But we got all in equal portions. I had the non- vegetarian menu . Mince pie Kulfi was surprisingly creamy and delicious . Starters were my favourite- the brioche bun was buttery and too hot to touch(just how I like them) . Turkey was juicy and well seasoned .All in all, I highly recommend . Only issue I has was the limited amount of soft drinks available(juice and coke)

Our lamb and chicken is Halal. Alcohol is served. Bacon is served on our breakfast menu. Ask a member of staff for details.

Rudie's Jerk Shack (Boxpark Shoreditch)

Boxpark is a cool spot, and Rudie’s is in a nice corner of it, with their own bar and lots of open plan seating. The prices might be a little on the high side, but sure you could say that about nearly everywhere around here, there’s a gift shop downstairs that has fridge magnets for £16! Anyway I digress, we had the jerked up lunch boxes, and while they were tasty, they were not nearly spicy enough. For me jerk has to hit you like a spicy flavour juggernaut and this was quite mild.
Top tip, ask them to spice it up for you, and not give you tourist jerk!!

An okay price for a decent portion of amazing food. I'm a bit torn about Rudie's - the flavour of everything was really good (though a little mild?) however there were lots of small chunks of bone left in the curry goat and the jerk chicken also had a tonne of gristle and broken bones. It's alright if you eat with your hands but if you're shovelling in mouthfuls on a fork you could easily be caught out especially with the goat.
The flavours were so good though - the fried dumplings were the best I've ever had and the goat was really well seasoned. I was expecting it to be much hotter though.
The customer service was just okay - not good or bad.

After a long journey on the tube and the DLR this place hit the spot. The jerk wrap was tasty. The curry goat seasoned perfectly. The jerk was cool as well.  I can't complain.

I had the "Jerk it up" box - marinated jerk chicken with molasses sauce, and fried plantain. Chicken was very well made, and sooo juicy. Plantain was the perfect accompaniment. Freshly made and delicious! Also had a small pot of the "nuff scotch" sauce (not pictured). It wasn't as hot as I thought it might be, but it lingered a bit!

First time coming to this place and it was lovely. Had such a nice atmosphere in there. The staff were absolutely lovely. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, but despite this our food and drinks cake quickly. I ordered the sweet potato hash, and it was just lovely. For dessert I had the white chocolate and ginger cheesecake which was gorgeous. Overall, I lovely meal, though I will say the menu is very limited to either a few brunch items or burgers, so if you're looking for something with a bit more variety, this probably isn't the place to eat.

We were seated on a. I’ve table and ordered the lunch menu offer with the main course and drinks deal.

I had a delicious burger and we also had some chicken wings as a starter.

Service was professional and the waiters always came to make sure were satisfied with service.

One word of warning is that they have some system with splitting bills or payments, that need to be verified with the waiter with card machine.

Otherwise this place is really nice casual lunch or dinner spot when you need to cheer up!

Great atmosphere! We had a dedicated waiter who served is whenever we needed. We wanted to remove absinthe from a cocktail that we had and he was kind enough go and ask the bartenders and they said that’s fine, we then ordered the same drinks and he remembered we did not want the absinthe.

I love this place. Great atmosphere. It’s a good place for a date night. It’s quite dark but has great music and vibes. They have live music most nights - every time I’ve been they’ve had live music. Nice staff and great cocktails. I love the spicy margarita.

The cornbread is nice. Very sweet. The artichoke dip is AWESOME! Highly recommend.

Our chicken is halal and can be cooked separately from all non halal options on request.

Casa do Frango Shoreditch

Wonderful experience at Casa do Frango Shoreditch! We visited for a Thursday night dinner and it was fabulous! At arrival, staff was very accomodating - we asked to change our table and they immediately accepted our request. Food was phenomenal! Their chicken is just a dream. We paired our food with a bottle of Vino Verde. We left happy & satisfied! What a great experience - we'll be back!

I came here to catch up with a friend who's veggie and there was some really good options for veggie food. We were amazed when we ordered the cauliflower and a whole cauliflower arrived, delicious!

I ordered the pork croquettes for myself, which I have to say were not that great, I felt like they were lacking in pork, mainly potato and were cold.

The atmosphere is great, and the front of house guy who greeted us went out of his way to give us a great table upstairs- a nice touch!

Delicious Portugese food. The ham croquettes and the cod fritters are amazing! The green rice side is also very tasty. They also provide blankets if one feels cold when sitting outside.

Warmest welcome from the staff as soon as we arrived. Although it was quiet it was still extremely comfortable, staff were a delight especially Yemi. She was perfectly attentive, knowledgeable and a delight to converse with. The food! Sensational, well seasoned, well balanced and complementary throughout the menu. The salgadinhos and bacalhau fritters are a must try. I’d only ask for more on the menu especially since some of the more complex dishes are pork limiting the experience for some, only upsetting since I wanted more. Also this is not a place for a large meal unless you’re ready to order quite a few dishes. Great for brunch/lunch with drinks. Drinks are as well balanced and refreshing as the food which is rare in Shoreditch. It’s an experience due to the dedication and warmth from the staff that I’ll be coming back for. Thank you!

Nice food and service overall! I didn’t find their peri peri chicken very outstanding, to me it tasted not marinated enough, but maybe it’s supposed to taste light and healthy.
The room was a little tight, my chair kept colliding with the chair behind, less comfort while sitting.

Visited this restaurant on Monday for a late lunch early tea. The food was absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately I can’t remember the names of the stuff I have posted bellow but highly recommend. The soft crab was one of the best things I have ever tasted. The staff were so lovely and friendly. One of our party has coeliac and they catered fully for his needs. Going out there way to change recipes to make them gluten free for him. I did not take a photo of the mango lassi but that was unbelievably good. 10/10 very responsibly priced. Would 100% come back to the restaurant

The Vietnamese summer roll was made fresh over here. Loving the ingredients they have here also the sauce they put in there mixture. The seafood pancake and the vermicelli ingredients and cooking were almost the same and didn’t see much difference in here. The pho was average and could do better with the flavours.

Stopped by to try out their new offering of banh mi baguettes. Also picked up a portion of summer rolls. All of the food was amazing! Definitely recommend. The summer rolls were 2 per portion however they were rather chunky with at least 3 big prawns in each so I was happy with the amount 🥰

Read that the reviews were good and fancied an Asian lunch so popped in for a look.

They had set lunch for 10.95, I thought it said either starter+main or main+dessert for £10.95, and I ordered spring rolls for starters and lemongrass chicken vermicelli salad for my main. Bill was presented as £14.5 for the special lunch set, so maybe there is some mark up or something. Food was tasty though and salad was massive with rice vermicelli, chicken, salad and picked veg as pictured

Just had dinner at this place and was absolutely amazing. Great food and friendly vibe.
Shout out the lovely waitress who suggested some crispy noodles and had a great smile too.

A new cafe serving bengali street food style eggs, Classic British style eggs with Bengali twist, all served on a caramboard table. The focus here is eggs. The main thing to get this concept correct is serving good quality eggs. They definitely got that spot on after seeing they using the good quality cacklebean eggs

Momlette is their signature dish which is a omlette cooked with spices and mustard in a parata. I loved how it was the perfect balance of spice and nice texture of the eggs. Really good on the go kinda wrap

Half English meaning half English style, half desi. Your traditional breakfast with parata. Eggs cooked perfectly and the main thing here was the sausages. This was good quality sausage which had spices infused. Which was new to me. Really liked the sausages.

Scrambled eggs on toast again cooked perfectly. With desi spices and herbs. If you’re bored of plain scrambled eggs defo try this. The best dish for me was egg Benedict. Perfectly cooked eggs. Lovely Hollandaise sauce. Good smoked salmon. Had a nice hint of kick.

All in all if you’re an egg lover defo a place to visit. They have excellent coffee aswell. Really enjoyed my oat latte aswell

Firstly I would like to Thank the waiters, for their excellent service they had provided. They were really patient with us having to explain what each of the breakfast contain. The food was very pleasant. First time trying Desi breakfast with a twist. I would definitely recommend others to try, as it’s the first in East London. The signature tea was mouthwatering amazing.
