I really wanted to like this place as I watched the restaurant grow and evolve into what it is today. Though I was highly disappointed, the restaurant itself is nice visually, and we weren't rushed with our booking which was pleasant. The lady serving us did her best to accommodate to our needs too, so I cannot fault her. Though the service for food itself was extremely slow. My friend had something on her ice which was immediately replaced as the waitress noticed. The food was very very bland, there was no flavour whatsoever, the only thing that had flavour was the stuffing ball. I had to put lots of salt and pepper and kept dousing the food in gravy and paid for an extra gravy pot but was still lacking depth in flavour. The gravy itself was so watery which was off putting. The menu also states you are served roast potatoes with your dish but you only get 1 bland potato, which lacks crispness too. The desserts being £10 each was insanity considering the tiramisu was awful, it just tasted like cream and bitter coffee. The sticky toffee pudding was nice but far too sweet and the crumble I'd say was just right. The whole bill for 3 people and 1 child was £175 which I find extortionate and I'd be happy to pay those prices if the food actually had flavour, would I return based on the same experience? Unfortunately not.

Me and my husband came in for my birthday dinner. I had the sea bass and my husband had the roast. The sea bass was exceptional, the taste, the presentation, the different textures. It was definitely a dish you don't forget. Although the great chase is known for their roasts this dish is definitely a must try. The chef and owner talked to us and it's clear how passionate they both are about the food they make. Would definitely recommend.

Came here as we were looking for some halal Sunday roast. I recommend booking in advance as they do seem quite busy and the restaurant is a little on the smaller side. They also had some mocktail options which were all very delicious. The Sunday roast was delicious, you could chose from sirloin beef, lamb shank or chicken. I opted for the beef. Although everything was good, I felt that there could have been a little more vegetables with the roast. Also they have a set way of how they cook the beef so it was quite pink. We also opted to try the desserts that day. Their sticky toffee pudding was really good and I’d definitely recommend trying that. As for the price, it is a little pricey compared to other roast places but I would say the restaurant definitely a high end type of vibe.

I went to their last venue for my 10 years anniversary, 3 years ago. Now that they’ve moved, this is an updated review. The menu has been changed slightly to make it more appealing to the customers. I cane with three others, and tasted something from everyone’s dish. They never fail to surprise me! The food was 11/10, place was kept clean and tidy and customer service was excellent! What a lovely venue to have a great evening meal! I will continue to come here and will highly recommend this place if you haven’t already tried the food here.
