Yori Covent Garden

Absolutely fantastic Korean BBQ place. I went there as I used to live in Seoul for a bit and wanted to find a good Korean restaurant in London - I wasn’t disappointed, I really thought the dishes tasted like authentic Korean ones. The staff is on top of that extremely lovely, all are smiling and look like they’re happy to be there which really makes it a great experience. I strongly advise to try the Man Du, they were exactly how I remembered.

Lovely restaurant. Easy to book table online in advance. Friendly staff. Electronic ordering system which is very fast and efficient. The food quality is excellent. The dishes are served quickly and arrive piping hot. The restaurant is clean and there is adequate spacing between tables so that you don’t feel too cramped.

We had never visited YORI before. What we wanted was to experience Korean barbecue. My daughter has had this in Japan and wanted to share the experience with me. It would have been helpful if someone had asked if we needed help with a fully electronic ordering system but nobody did. We noticed the QR code trapped to the table and scanned it. We proceeded to order the York platter, a mix of different meats, huge prawns and various mushrooms. A pair of tongs and a pair of scissors were provided. Neither of us was sure what to do but we got stuck in. We were brought bowls of lettuce and various sauces as well as kimchee in bowls. We had a long handled metal spoon each and a pair of metal chopsticks. We are accustomed to wooden or bamboo chopsticks and found metal ones slippery and hard to use. I ended up using my fingers a lot. The food was delicious of a bit disjointed as we worked out what to do. Our impression was that this was a young, trendy place. In spite of the good food I don't think I will go there again. My final disappointment was that we were one table away from the front door and every time the door was opened there was a blast of cold air.
