Fat Hippo Liverpool

I was seen to quickly and was given a table even as a solo eater. Staff were very attentive and friendly. The menu is very varied (despite all being burgers), it was so hard to choose! I went for a vegetarian Harlem Fake burger because of the chipotle mayo. I was told about a half hour wait on food, but it arrived quicker than this which was nice. It came with a very generous portion of hand cut fries, which were delicious by themselves (although I did use them to mop up the chipotle mayo from my burger). The burger itself was huge, I ended up having to eat with a knife and fork for the most part. It had great textures, but unfortunately not the flavours I was expecting. The mayo had no heat to it, the southern fried vegan chicken was tasty but I feel like it was trying to do too much so flavours got lost a little, I couldn't taste any cheese on it for example. After my burger I ordered a PB&Jack shake from the friendly staff and it was amazing - I could taste the Jack Daniels throughout and got a hit of sweet peanut butter at the right times. The prices were incredibly reasonable for the amount of food, and I definitely want to come back to try their other burgers (and for another delicious shake).
