We came to Farzi Cafe after hearing all the hype surrounding the food and the atmosphere. Sadly it wasn’t what we thought. This is the first time that I have given a relatively negative review on Google but this I think needs to be said. We came on a Sunday evening for a early dinner, we got seated by the front staff. Once we got seated a server was quick to approach us to see what we would like. This was pleasant. After giving us a couple minutes we placed our orders and waited. Starters looked amazing but lacked the taste. The started were bland and lacked the taste kick. After eating this we waited for dinner to arrive. At this point we heard one of the staff members a female singing out loud and walking around jiving to her own singing. This was amusing at first but then became annoying. She then started to tell off one of her staff members in front of us. This wasn’t appreciated especially when the cafe half full. We then got dinner, this again looked great but the egg royal lacked in taste and the lamb vindaloo was over cooked and hard. Both dishes were not to the standard we had anticipated. They were both sent back. Dessert is what has give the cafe the 2 stars. They were great. Overall: we have heard a lot of good things but our visit wasn’t what we expected and sadly shocked. We didn’t pay for our dinner part of the bill. Not the best service and food looked great but no taste. Maybe it was a off day.

Had a great time at Farzi Cafe. Nice atmosphere and decor. The cocktails were great and the food was very tasty. Well presented food with a little flare. I would definitely recommend it and I will be going back. It's a must try if you are in the area.

Had a wonderful meal here! We went for the pre-theatre menu which was great value for money (£26 for cocktail + starter + main), but the staff really went out of their way to make this a great experience. Creative menu with original twists on classics - everything was delicious. Will definitely be back!!

We went to Farzi cafe for my girlfriend's birthday, on the reccomendations of people who have been before and I have to say, the food, atmosphere and general vibe of the restaurant was on point. We were quickly greeted and seated by the Front of house staff, and then Surya introduced himself as our waiter. He was kind caring and attentive, he answered all the questions we had about the menu, and even went one step further by checking if either of us had an allergies so he could check with the kitchen staff if any of the food we ordered had any of the listed allergens (not something that happens in all places at point of ordering). Starters were served relatively quickly after ordering, the starters were good and the perfect size for the two of us. This was followed by mains again served relatively quickly and to a high standard, throughout the meal several wait staff popped by to check in on us, and see if we wanted anything or if they could do anything for us. We ordered dessert which again came quickly and they also went above and beyond by bringing out a small "celebration plate" for my girlfriends birthday this consisted of a cake and the words happy birthday written in chocolate with a candle. The staff at Farzi cafe really went above and beyond to make this experience as memorable as possible. My hats off to Surya for being such a great host and being friendly and attentive.
